John Gambino was reached VIA telephone an hour after WGWF Adrenaline ended. He provided the following statement to WGWF reporters.
“I threw everything that I had at Camden. I played mind games, I threatened the well-being of those whom she cares about and I brought my A-game; yet she still walked away with that title. I could stand here right now and I could bring up how it was M.D.K. that she pinned and not me. But the truth is, had I been in the ring to stop the pin fall, then she may not have won. So, I take full blame for not getting the job done. Jocey is not just a normal daisy picking, Twilight movie watching, crying at the blink of an eye female, not even close. She is one tough bitch.
There are a few people that shall remain nameless who had believed that if I lost this match, I would have jumped ship to the XWF. They thought that I would leave the WGWF with a "rage-quit". But I would like to take this chance to set the record straight. I will NEVER step foot into an XWF ring again. Regardless of what happens in my WGWF career, regardless of the hardships that I that I must go trough in order to reach the heights that I wish to reach; for me are only two options.....WGWF or retirement. Just because I have been going through some low points in my WGWF career, does not mean that I wish to go back to the company that screwed me harder than a boyscout in the arms of John Hammel. What I am trying to say is, screw the XWF! It is my past and that is where it will stay.
Now, many people have asked me what is going to happen regarding my WGWF career. Well, as it is known by the entire world, Page is currently the number one contender for the WGWF world heavyweight championship. I will personally use that time to re-group. Because even though Jocey has earned my respect and even though Page has been one of the people that I have respected most in this business; I will take that belt away from whomever I need to take it from. The way I see it, I was granted a one on one match for the WGWF world championship at Adrenaline, that is what I was promised IN WRITING. When Ranma decided to thumb through the list of WGWF retirees to find someone to add to the match, he was in breech of contract. So the way I see it, I am next in line.
I do not give a frog's fat slippery ass if Raven returns and tries to jump to the front of the line, I do not care if some other WGWF legend tries to pull an M.D.K. And returns with the notion of being the number one contender. I do not care if Adam Barker himself decides that he wants to wrestle for the belt. They can ALL KISS MY ASS! Because I will not be overlooked and I will take what is rightfully mine. And no, I am not claiming that the WGWF world championship is rightfully mine. Jocey won, it is rightfully hers at least for the time being. But, a one on one shot at the belt IS rightfully mine. And, when I get that shot I WILL make sure that the most prestigious championship in all of wrestling finally becomes rightfully mine.
But for now, this is Jocelyn Camden's time to shine and I will not rob her of it. My time to shine will come soon enough, because I will go through anybody and everybody to attain it. I really do not care who I have to hurt to get what I want. My quest is not over. Not by a long shot. But, for now....enjoy your victory Camden. You earned it fair and square.”
