JOE LOUIS ARENA
DETROIT, MICHIGAN

Monday Night Brawl takes the air live from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. "Uprising" by Muse plays over the P.A. The Detroit crowd roars as pyro explodes above the ring and up the entrance ramp. The crowd is electric as various signs displayed are as follows: "Welcome home CCP", "Fear the Raven", "Ryan Riot", "Elite Syndicate Sucks", "Heat's my Hero", "Camden Fucking Rocks" are some just to name a few. Our scene fades to ringside where Derrick Diamond and Flash Rotten are ready to call tonight's action.
Diamond- "Welcome everyone to Detroit Rock City; Detroit, Michigan! Welcome to MONDAY NIGHT BRAWL! Good evening ladies and gentleman I'm Derrick Diamond and with me as always is Flash Rotten, and Flash you talk about a shocking Survival of the Sickest just one week ago...
Rotten: From top to bottom it was an explosive card. It saw the crowning of a new Intercontinental Champion in Kenny Radical, it saw Heat retain the TV Title in Sudden Death Over Time in an Iron Man match, John Stone beat Shawn Murphy on top of a car hood, Jocelyn Camden defeated Chris Cain in a Last Man Standing; but the match that everyone's talking about was the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Main Event that saw the shocking return of James Raven and Chronic Chris Page.
Diamond: The balance of power has shifted back towards the WGWF if you ask me. Tonight LIVE on Brawl we will hear from the living legend that is Chris Page, but we're going to see James Raven in action tonight as he teams with Nick Ryan to take on Elite Syndicate's own John Stone and Seth Stevens.
Rotten: On paper this is one of those matches that could go either way, but can James Raven and Nick Ryan put their differences a side and coexist? Personally I don't think so.
Diamond: I guess later on tonight we're going to see. Also tonight on the card we've got two Championships on the line. Newly crowned Intercontinental Champion Kenny Radical defends the title against Jocelyn Camden, not to mention Heat defending the TV Title against the Sentinel.
Rotten: Tonight marks the biggest opportunity for Jocelyn Camden. Several weeks ago Camden managed to defeat Kenny Radical. Can she do it again tonight with the title on the line? The Sentinel's been chasing the TV Title the last several months. After having his hair set on fire does The Sentinel have everything together to try and take the title away from a red hot Heat.
Diamond: We've got a lot to cover tonight from top to bottom. Flash whatcha say we go a head and jump right up into this night with out opening contest.
TRIPLE THREAT PINK SLIP MATCH
PIN TO WIN
LOSER IS FIRED
JOHNNY O'BOM vs JONNY VENNOM vs BRAIN CADY
PIN TO WIN
LOSER IS FIRED
JOHNNY O'BOM vs JONNY VENNOM vs BRAIN CADY
Masters: Ladies and Gentleman the following Triple Threat contest is scheduled for one fall, and is a PINK SLIP MATCH!
"War" by Sick Puppies begins to play. The crowd boo's.
Masters: Introducing first, about to make his way to the ring... JONNY VENOM!
Venom makes his way to the ring. He tags some hands as he reaches ringside. He slides into the ring as his music fades away. "Downfall of us All" begins to play.
Masters: And his opponet, about to make his way to the ring... JOHNNY O'BOM!
O'Bom comes out to the top of the ramp to a nice pop from the crowd. O'Bom runs to the ring sliding under the bottom rope. He reaches his feet and awaits the final opponet. "Can't Get The Best Of Me" by Cypress Hill hits the speakers.
Masters: And finally, about to make his way to the ring, BRAIN CADY!
Cady makes his way to the ring. He tags a few hands, but not many as he slides into the ring and removes his ring gear.
Diamond: Three men.. One of these men is going to be without a job at the end of this one Flash.
Rotten: Shocking to see Brian Cady involved in this match considering he's the former Intercontinental Champion.
DING....DING....DING....
Venom and O'Bom begin to lace into each other while Brian stands with his hands on his hips looking at them trade right hands. O'Bom drives a knee to the midsection of Venom, he sends Venom towards Cady with an Irish whip, Cady removes his hands from his hips and plants a boot to the midsection of Venom before instantly planting him with a Flip Piledriver.
Diamond: X Marks the Spot on Venom!
Cady gets to a vertical base. O'Bom runs towards Cady looking for a clothesline attempt, Cady ducks under the clothesline sending O'Bom into the ropes, O'Bom bounces off the ropes catching a boot to the midsection before he too is driven into the mat with a Flip Piledriver!
Rotten: X Marks the Spot to O'Bom!
The crowd roars as Cady looks around with a smile on his face. He shrugs his shoudlers before rolling Johnny O'Bom over on top of Jonny Venom. Cady points to the top rope. Cady comes towards the set of buckles, he steps to the ring apron before climbing up to the top rope. Cady stands poised before jumping off the top rope with a Spiral Tap landing perfectly on top of Johnny O'Bom which drives him into Jonny Venom. Cady reaches his feet before placing a boot on the chest of Johnny O'Bom who is still on top of Jonny Venom.
Referee: ONE..... TWO.... THREE!!
DING...DING...DING....
"Can't Get the Best of Me" by Cypriss Hill once again begins to play over the speakers.
Diamond: Was that a double pin?
Masters: The winner of the match... BRIAN CADY!
Rotten: Now that you mention it... I think it was!
Diamond: That's what I thought?!?!
Matt Hopkins suddenly appears on the Jumbo Tron:
Matt Hopkins: While O'Bom and Venom are still on their backs looking up at the lights. They should both know that THEY'RE FIRED!
A mixed reaction is heard as Hopkins has just fired Johnny O'Bom and Jonny Venom. He disappears from the Jumbo Tron. Brian Cady is still in the ring with a microphone in hand.
There’s a mix of cheers and boos following the match, as “The X Effect” grabs a microphone and stands in the middle of the ring.
The X Effect: “I’ve been dealing with a lot of shit both in AND out of the ring for over a month. And not once, NOT ONCE… did I ever come out to bitch and complain about my difficulties as a wrestler and in my personal life. I decided to be a man, handle my issues, and take my lumps from the media for losing a lot of matches.
“But now that I’ve dropped the bad habits, now that I have the right people around me behind the scenes… it’s time for me to make my indelible mark in the history of this company. There are obviously a lot of doubters out there who won’t believe a word out of my mouth until I prove myself, and that’s fine. But let me assure you of one thing: fasten your seat belts, because you’re all in for one hell of a ride. And if you miss out, don’t say I didn’t warn you. ‘The X Effect’ is REFRESHED; and I’m ready to take the WGWF… to THE… EXTREME!!”
Cady drops the microphone and makes his way backstage.
BATTLE LINES DRAWN IN THE SAND
The lights in the arena go dark just as you hear....
I need a hero to save me now
Just then lights begin to flash all around the arena.
I've gotta fight today
To live another day
Speaking my mind today
My voice will be heard today
I've gotta make a stand
But I am just a man
I'm not superhuman
My voice will be heard today
It's just another war
Just another family torn
My voice will be heard today
It's just another kill
The countdown begins to destroy ourselves
I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time
Just then Nick Ryan comes walking out from behind the curtain with the World Heavyweight Title draped over his shoulder. A smile from ear to ear is on his face. As he approaches the ring he runs up and slides underneath the bottom rope. Quickly getting to his feet Nick runs and jumps onto on one of the second ropes on the turnbuckle. He poses to the crowd for a few moments before jumping off and posing in the middle of the ring. Nick soaks in the cheers from the sold out crowd at Joe Louis Arena.
Nick Ryan: Well ladies and gentlemen tonight is a great night isn't it?
The crowd roars
Nick Ryan: Once again I have successfully defended my World Heavyweight Title. Now I want to take this time to get a few things off my chest. Over the weekend I got some unsettling news about someone I considered a friend. Brian Cady has been going around backstage running at the mouth about me. Saying things like I a backstabber, and a bad friend. Listen Brian you're a good guy but you tend to drop the ball quite a bit. You were the WGWF Intercontinental Cahmpion for crying out loud. And then at Survival of the Sickest you choked under the pressure. Now I am far from a dictator but I'm sorry Brian at this point Team WGWF would be better without you. Now don't get me wrong Brian Cady is a hell of a talent. But now he is showing his true colors to the world. I was the one who suggested Brian come to WGWF for a fresh start much like I did. And yet every couple of weeks Brian you drop the ball. Enough about him I want to talk about The Elite Syndicate. You see guys ever since you showed up there's been a gradual war brewing. And now I am officially drawing the Battle Line in the sand. This is going out to every WGWF superstar in that locker room. We need to know where you stand. Now by no means am I saying you either with us or against us. But you need to decide where you as an individual stand.....
"Back in Black" by AC/DC hits the speakers. The fans roar as Matt Hopkins begins to walk towards the ring dressed in black as usual.
Diamond: Matt Hopkins is interrupting the World Heavyweight Champion?
Hopkins enters the ring. He and Nick exchange a handshake. Matt produces a microphone from his coat pocket.
Matt Hopkins: Ya know Nick, I find it interesting that you mentioned the Battles Lines are drawn in the sand. Because live on Pay-Per-View on December the 13th I've decided that the WGWF will present it's next Pay-Per-View. It will be entitled... Battle Lines!"
The crowd pops at the mention of the Battle Lines event.
Matt Hopkins: Considering everything that's transpired over the last several months I've also decided that the Main Event of Battle Lines will feature an explosive Main Event...
Matt looks out across the Joe Louis Arena before continuing.
Matt Hopkins: The Elite Syndicate wants to bring us a War... well, just last Monday Night the WGWF answered that call. Which is why that at Battle Lines it will be the Elite Syndicate; Seth Stevens, the Intercontinental Champion Kenny Radical, John Stone, Viktor Sombra and Adam Barker...
The crowd roars with boo's at the mention of the names of the Elite Syndicate...
Matt Hopkins: And they will take on you, Nick Ryan...
The crowd lets out a pop at the mention of Nick's name.
Matt Hopkins: And Jocelyn Camden...
Another loud pop is heard at the mention of Camden's name.
Matt Hopkins: Now Nick...
Hopkins turns so that he's facing Nick Ryan.
Matt Hopkins: I've issued invitations to James Raven...
The crowd roars at the mention of Raven's name.
Matt Hopkins: .... And Chronic Chris Page...
The fans roar with a louder ovation at the mention of Chronic Chris Page's name.
Matt Hopkins: At this moment I haven't heard from either one of them. It's going to be up to you Nick to fill the final three spots for Team WGWF, because at Battles Lines we're going to have ourselves a 10 Man WAR GAMES ELIMINATION MATCH!
The crowd responds with the loudest pop of the night as Matt continues.
Matt Hopkins: To make things a little more interesting, whoever Eliminates the final member of a team and wins War Games will earn the ring to challenge for the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship at the West Coast Rumble in January!
Rotten: Wow!
Diamond: War Games at Battle Lines! The winner gets a shot at the World Title at one of the WGWF Premire Pay-Per-Views.
Matt Hopkins: Now I know that Battle Lines is going to be off the charts just like all of the great WGWF live events, but before we can get to Battle Lines there is a subject that I think needs to be tackled...
"Man in a Box" by Alice and Chains hits the speakers. The crowd breaks out into loud boo's as Seth Stevens is shown making his way to the ring. He's walking with a purpose.
Diamond: Sinister Seth Stevens is now interrupting Hopkins!
Stevens slides into the ring. He gets to his feet taking a microphone from the back pocket of his jeans.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you Matt, but if the business you're referring to is what I think you're referring too then I think I need to be present since it involves me."
A mixed reaction is heard from Stevens hometown.
Matt Hopkins: Actually it does involve you Seth...
Matt states as he looks to Nick then to Stevens.
Matt Hopkins: Now Nick as you're aware Seth has demanded One more shot at the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship. He claims that he had know knowledge of the actions from Viktor Sombra. Now, you Nick... you make a solid point as well when you say that had Sombra not interferred into the match James Raven, The Elite Syndicate and CCP wouldn't have gotten invovled...
Nick nods his head in approval as Hopkins continues.
Matt Hopkins: Seth makes a good point when he says that technically the one on one series between the two of you is tied at one a piece with neither man being pinned in the middle of the ring. So after a lengthy deliberation with the WGWF Board of Directors we've decided that live TWO WEEKS from tonight on Brawl their will be ONE MORE match. It will be Nick Ryan defending the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Stevens!
The fans erupt at the mention of next weeks Brawl Main Event. Stevens explodes with emotion but Hopkins cuts Stevens celebration short.
Matt Hopkins: It will take place under ONE CONDITION... That condition is should ANY member of the Elite Syndicate get involved it's not going to cost them their job Seth... it's going to cost you YOURS! If Barker, Sombra, Radical, or Stone so much as take a step towards the ring you can consider your career DONE!
The fans explode as Stevens verbally agrees to the stipulation.
Matt Hopkins: I'm also going to bar James Raven, Chris Page, Jocelyn Camden, and Shawn Murphy from ringside as well...
Matt turns towards Nick.
Matt Hopkins: If any of those people so much as try and come to the ring at any point in the match... Nick, you'll be stripped of the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship!
The crowd boo's loudly at the mention of Nick being stripped of the title.
Matt Hopkins: One on One... for the first time LIVE on Monday Night Brawl... and their MUST BE A WINNER!
A huge pop is heard from the Detroit crowd. Seth smiles in approval before he states towards Nick.
"Savor you last two weeks as World Champion Nick because two weeks from tonight it will finally be around my waist!"
Seth drops his microphone as "Man in a Box" by Alice and Chains plays once again. Stevens exits the ring. The scene cuts backstage.
CCP ARRIVES?
The scene cuts to the loading dock of the Joe Louis Arena. We see Denise Essex standing by.
Essex- "Ladies and Gentleman I'm standing out by the loading dock here at the Joe Louis Arena eagerly anticipating the arrival of Chronic Chris Page..."
The Detroit fans explode at the mention of their hometown hero CCP's name.
Essex- "Just as soon as he arrives I will be right here to get his first words since returning to the WGWF last Monday Night at Survival of the Sickest."
Suddenly the crowd roars again as a set of headlights is shown pulling down the driveway towards the roll up door where Denise is standing.
Essex- "Wait.. this might be him now."
A black Hummer Limo is shown pulling into the loading dock. It pulls to a smooth stop before the back passenger side door swings open. Several seconds pass before we see...
Essex- "DEAN JAMES?!?!?!?"
Former WGWF World Heavyweight Champion "The Iceman" Dean James is shown stepping out of the limo. Denise approaches him.
Essex- "Excuse me Dean? What the hell are you doing here?"
Dean merely gazes at Denise before walking away not muttering a single word.
FEAR THE RAVEN... FOREVERMORE
The fans settle in their seats, their freshly purchased concessions ready to be devoured as the lights in the arena begin to dim. The men and women begin to chatter amongst themselves, speculation running wild as to who is coming to the ring next. After a moment of silence, a moment of darkness… there’s no more need to speculate.
“Ha ha ha ha… Now here we go for the hundredth time, hand grenade pins in every line, throw them up and let something shine, going out of my fucking mind!"
The arena explodes as “Bleed it Out” by Linkin Park begins to blare over the loudspeakers, signaling the return of one man many thought would never return. Blue and white spotlights begin to pan the arena, illuminating the stands which are practically one giant mosh pit, and a dull blue fog begins to rise on the stage.
Filthy mouth, no excuse, find a new place to hang this noose, string me up from atop these roofs and knot it tight so I won’t get loose!”
The entire arena is on their collective feet now, the atmosphere electric as all of the spotlights slowly make their way into one pool of light atop the entrance ramp, the fog growing thicker and thicker as it blows around the floor.
“Truth is you can stop and stare, run myself out and no one cares, dug the trench out laid down there with a shovel up out of reach somewhere! Yeah, someone pour it in, make it a dirt dance floor again, say your prayers and stomp it out when they bring that chorus in!”
The arena suddenly bursts to life as the crescendo hits the speakers, the house lights suddenly rising back to full blast as a large silver pyro display goes off on the stage, mixing furiously with the fog. The fans go absolutely nuts as the smoke clears, revealing the man they’ve been waiting months for…
JAMES RAVEN!
“I bleed it out! Digging deeper just to throw it away! I bleed it out! Digging deeper just to throw it away! I bleed it out! Digging deeper just to throw it away! Just to throw it away! Just to throw it away! I BLEED IT OUT!”
James poses atop the ramp for a moment, his sleeves rolled up to his elbow and the top button of his collared shirt unbuttoned revealing a blue and silver necklace. He wears a pair of designer jeans, and his trademark grin as he looks out at the fans, running his fingers through his hair as he soaks the entire scene in. Welcome back to the WGWF, Mr. Raven! He suddenly takes off from the stage, sprinting down towards the ring and diving through the air between the bottom and middle rope, rolling to his feet in the center of the canvas much to the delight of the fans. He takes a large and showy bow, earning another nice pop before everyone finally settles down and watches him accept a microphone from the ring announcer.
James: Well, well, well… what the hell is up, Hockey Town?
Another ear splitting pop from the fans, earning another of his ear to ear, superstar grins. He takes a few small steps in a circle, looking out at the entire arena.
James: I’ve got to admit, I haven’t heard Detroit cheer that loudly since the Lions won their last game… back when Barry Sanders played.
That one, however, earns a hearty boo. James continues to grin though.
James: Calm down, 8 Mile, we all know I’m just messing around… I can’t come through Detroit without talking about Jahvid Best having turf toe in both feet, though. I think it’s just a convenient excuse to cover the fact that he remembered he was a Lion and had to stop playing. Kind of like how Brian Cady realized he actually found a company willing to take him in after his ‘XWF incident’, and decided he didn’t have to cut promos anymore, you know?
The crowd suddenly launches into a chant of “CADY SUCKS!”, but James waves his hands frantically, quieting everyone down before speaking into his microphone once more.
James: Easy now, easy now. I’m not here to torch the guys career. He can do it on his own, just give him a month or so to get pissed off by some “fan voting” ballot and record a shoot video. It’ll be hilarious. I digress… Instead, I’m here tonight for two reasons. First, I’m here to kick John Stone’s teeth so far down his throat that he’s shitting out ‘Crest’ for a week, and to remind Seth Stevens of what the Elephant Man looked like each time he looks in the mirror and sees the imprint of my engagement ring under his eye… and on his chin… and the bridge of his nose… and everywhere else.
A loud ‘anti-Syndicate’ cheer rises from the throats of the fans, but Raven once more quiets them down.
James: Yeah, I know… I’m looking forward to it too. However, that’s not the only thing I’m here tonight to do. I’m here to ‘explain my actions’ at Survival of the Sickest. What, you don’t remember? You didn’t have the thirty bucks to shell out to watch the show? Well, here… let me refresh your memories, then!
He points up at the jumbo-tron, watching as it suddenly flickers to life with images from Survival of the Sickest and the main event between Seth Stevens and Nick Ryan.
Stevens staggers towards the Ladder which is still in position under the World Title.. The crowd boo's uncontrolably as trash begins to be thrown towards the ring. Sombra holds the other side of the Ladder to balace it as Stevens begins to slowly climb towards his destiny.
Diamond: Not like this...
Rotten: Stevens is going to win the World Title!
Stevens slowly climbs up another rung of the Ladder. Adam Barker is sweating bullets as he cheers on from the floor. Stevens struggles but steps up one more rung of the Ladder while Nick has yet to move.
Diamond: Someone has to stop this...
Stevens climbs up one more rung, he reaches for the title. He takes a hold of the gold with one hand. As he reaches up with his left hand the lights once again completely go out!
Rotten: Wait a minute...
The crowd begins to stir... suddenly...
"Bleed it Out" by Linkin Park begins to play. The crowd begins to roar. The lights come back up to find....
Diamond: JAMES RAVEN!!!
It's James Raven! Raven plants a low blow to Sombra. Stevens reaches up with his left hand, moments before he can take the gold James Raven tips the Ladder over sending Seth sailing over the top rope and crashing through the tables that have been set up at ringside to a huge "HOLY SHIT" chant from the crowd.
Rotten: GOOD GOD SETH COULD HAVE BEEN BROKEN IN HALF!
The crowd is on fire with cheers as Raven stands in the center of the ring, he looks down at Nick Ryan before looking up at the World Title. Adam Barker is shown getting up on the ring apron. The crowd roars with boo's as we see Barker get the attention of Raven. Raven begins to walk towards the ropes where Adam is standing. Behind James we see Viktor sit straight up. Nick is still out cold. On the floor Seth is shown laid out in the ruble of the Tables. Raven takes a hold of Adam by his coat coller. The crowd begins to boo as Sombra comes up behind Raven attacking him from behind! Sombra spins Raven around and begins to unload with right hands. Sombra sends Raven across the ring into the ropes, Raven bounces off the ropes, Sombra ducks his head only to catch a DDT from Raven!
Diamond: Why the hell is James Raven here to help Nick Ryan?!?!
The images fade off the screen, and Raven goes back to the fans, a sly smile on his face.
James: Why the hell IS Raven here to help Nick Ryan? It’s a great question. I mean, let’s face it, it’s more likely that I would fuck Lindsay Lohan than help Nick Ryan… and for the record, she’s offered, I just feel like they don’t call her ‘fire bush’ because she’s a red head, if you catch my drift. I like to keep my dick in one piece. So, that can only mean one thing. Nick had nothing to do with it. I could care less if that queer holds onto a title he never deserved in the first place. I could care less if he prances around saying he was “under used” in the XWF, and he’s the next Famine of the Vile, the next Chris Page, the next… well, James Raven.
The small ‘anti-Nick’ pack of the WGWF universe cheers Ravens criticism of the World champion energetically, but the majority of Nicks supporters sit quietly, waiting for Raven to continue.
James: So, it wasn’t to help Nick… maybe it was because I really, really, really despise Seth Stevens, huh? Maybe it’s because it bothers me that it looks like his face was beaten in by a shovel on his third birthday, or because his stable is nothing but a rip off of every “world domination, heel, insert-generic-menacing-adjective-here” group that has ever been seen in this industry. Maybe it’s because I still have a grudge that he beat my fiancé for the cruiserweight title way back when in the XWF… or maybe I don’t really give a damn what he does, either.
The fans are silent, trying desperately to figure out what Raven is getting at. He doesn’t care about Nick Ryan, he doesn’t care about Seth Stevens… then why interfere? Why put Seth’s safety on the line and help Nick win, if he doesn’t care about either one?
James: Was I trying to make a statement and put my name in the hat for the World title? No. Was I making sure that the Elite Syndicate didn’t get a clean sweep? Not really. Am I first of an impending wave of XWF invaders? Hell no. Was I just bored, and in the mood to fuck with people? Well… a little bit, but that’s not the whole reason. Did Matt Hopkins or Adam Barker offer me a shit ton of money to do it, a la Chris Cain? Uh-uh.
“Tell us! Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!”
Another chant breaks out amongst the crowd, stopping James in his tracks, bringing another wide smile to his face as he chuckles slightly and shrugs his shoulders.
James: Fine. In the immortal words of Hoobastank… the reason is you. Each and every one of you sitting in this arena tonight, and each and every one of you sitting at home creaming yourselves with every word I utter. There I was, sitting at home and enjoying an early retirement when suddenly I got an e-mail, begging me to come back and show Nick Ryan what a true champion looked like, but I ignored it. Then, came a second one, begging me to show Heat and Terry Borden what charisma actually looked like… and I ignored it. Soon, there was another asking me to put Seth Stevens in his place, and soon another asking me to snap John Stones winning streak. Another came, asking me to avenge my loss to Dean James, and soon one more telling me Adam Barker was running out of control… eventually, there were too many to ignore.
The fans cheer wildly, but James talks over them, on a roll now.
James: Through my entire career, you guys have followed me… from the XWF, to the TWC, to EW and SW, to The Experts… anywhere I’ve laced them up, you guys have been for me. It was time to return the damned favor. So do I care if Nick Ryan is the World Champion?
He holds the microphone in the air for the fans, who scream a resounding “Hell No!”
James: Do I care if Seth Stevens is the World Champion?
“Hell No!”
James: Do I care if I’m next in line?
“Hell No!”
James: Do I care who Barker has paid off, or who Hopkins is recruiting to fight the power? Do I care whether Heat doesn’t like me, or Jocelyn Camden has herpes?
“Hell No!”
James: Well, I kind of do care about that last part… but you get the point. I’m here to be what you need me to be, and it starts with showing you a real super star looks like. I guaran-damn-tee tonight I’m walking out with a win… with Nick, or without him. I’ll put this company on my back if you need me to, I’ll take down the Syndicate by myself if that’s what you guys ask from me. But… there’s one things I have to ask from you guys… help me bring this shit home, for old times sake. Fear the Raven…
He thrusts the microphone into the air one last time, a look of pride on his face as he blinks back emotion at the sound of the full throated roar.
“FOREVERMORE!!!”
Fade out.
WGWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
JOCELYN CAMDEN vs KENNY RADICAL (c) w/ Adam Barker
JOCELYN CAMDEN vs KENNY RADICAL (c) w/ Adam Barker
Masters: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WGWF Intercontinental Championship...
A massive pop is heard. "Bass Down Low" by The Cataracs plays as the crowd jumps to their feet.
Masters: Introducing first, about to make her way to the ring; She is the challenger... JOCELYN CAMDEN!
Jocelyn Camden steps out from the back to a large ovation. She nods her head and pumps her fist before she walks down the rampway. She slaps a few hands of fans along the way. As she gets to the ring, she leaps onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckle. She fist pumps in the air again as the crowd continues to go nuts for her. She leaps off the turnbuckle and into the ring.
Masters: And introducing her opponet...
"So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin hits the speakers drawing boo's from the crowd.
Masters: He is the NEW WGWF Intercontinental Champion, he's led to the ring by Adam Barker, representing the Elite Syndicate... KENNY RADICAL!
Kenny struts out to the top of the ramp with the IC Title strapped around his waist to the boos of fans. He's followed out by Adam Barker. He spits to the side as if spitting at his disapproving public and walks down the ramp not making eye-contact with anyone. He slides into the ring, stands in the cent, closes his eyes, and takes in all the attention. He loves the attention, even if it's negative.
Diamond: Just one week ago Radical officially became the Intercontinental Champion by defeating Brian Cady in a Three Stages of Hell match, but Radically impressively won the title within the first two falls.
Rotten: Cady certainly let down the WGWF locker room with that performance, but look at the bright side. At least we've now got an IC Champion that we know will show up and perform at a consistant level each and every week.
DING....DING....DING....
The Detroit crowd is on fire as the bell sounds for our opening match. Radical and Camden lock up center ring. They jockey for position with Radical using his strength to walk Camden back into the ropes. The referee counts Radical, Radical gives a clean break to the shock of the announce team.
Diamond: Radical and clean break just don't belong in the same sentence.
Rotten: I'm taken a back myself.
Radical steps back towards the center of the ring. He draws a line, as if their was sand, on the mat before taunting Camden to come on. Camden comes out off the ropes locking right up with Radical. Radical uses his strength advantage to snap Camden over with an armdrag take over. The crowd boo's as Radical is to his feet being cheered on by Adam Barker. Camden reaches her knees before gettting to a vertical base. Radical and Camden lock up once more, Radical uses his power to back Camden into the ropes, he fires her across the ring into the ropes, Camden bounces off the ropes leap frogging over a ducked down Radical, Camden bounces off the far side rope catching Radical with a running dropkick to sending him through the ropes to the floor from Camden. The crowd roars as Adam is shown coming around the ring and checking on Radical.
Diamond: Camden is on point tonight in the early goings.
Rotten: She's beaten Radical before, if she can do it tonight she will take the momentum from the Elite Syndicate and bring the Intercontinental Championship back to the WGWF.
Barker helps Radical to his feet. They are shown going over a quick game plan. Camden waits for Radical to get to the ring apron, Camden comes forward blasting Radical in the jaw with a forearm shot, Camden runs towards the ropes, she springs off the middle rope and connects with a drop kick to the face of Radical sending him back to the floor. Camden rolls out to the floor, she picks up Radical by the hair, she brings him towards the ring steps. Camden looks to bounce Radical head first off the ring steps, Radical blocks and it's Camden who eats a face full of steel shocking the crowd. Radical tosses Camden back into the ring. Radical slides in after Camden making a cover.
Referee: ONE.... TWO.... THR
Camden kicks out to the delight of the crowd. Radical reaches his feet, he picks up Camden before slamming her to the mat below. Radical hits the ropes gaining a full head of steam before dropping an elbow across the chest of Camden. Radical puts Camden in a seating position before putting his right knee into her lower back, he grabs each arm of Camden and begins to pull then backwards.
Diamond: Radical is looking to exploit the power advantage with this submission hold.
Camden is asked to surrender, she says "No" as Radical wrenches back on the hold. The crowd begins a "CAMDEN, CAMDEN, CAMDEN" chant in an attempt to root Jocelyn on. They respond with cheers as Camden begins to work her way to a vertical base. BRIAN CADY AND MATT HOPKINS
We take a look backstage inside the Joe Louis Arena, and see Matt Hopkins looking through some paperwork in his office. After a few seconds of silence the door swings open, with “The X Effect” Brian Cady walking into the office and a security guard two steps behind him.
Security Guard: “I’m sorry sir, he came storming down the hallway and got by me before I could stop him from coming in.”
Matt Hopkins: “It’s okay, I can handle it from here.”
A mix of cheers and boos can be heard from the crowd. Cady stares at the security guard for a second, before the guard walks out of the room and shuts the door on the way out.
Matt Hopkins: “Mister Cady… to what do I owe this pleasure?”
The X Effect: “You should know damn well why I’m paying you a visit.”
Matt Hopkins: “Depends… is this about Nick Ryan expelling you from the group, or how you’ve become a disgrace to anyone who has ever laced up a pair of boots to get in the wrestling ring?”
Cady takes another step forward, slams his fists on the desk and leans in towards Hopkins.
The X Effect: “I don’t give A FUCK… about losing the Intercontinental Title.”
Matt Hopkins: “Oh really? And why is that?”
The X Effect: “There are two simple reasons. Would you like to hear them?”
Matt Hopkins: “Oh please, indulge me with your grand reasoning.”
The X Effect: “First off, it didn’t help that you and Nick essentially ORDERED ME… to drop the title and walk away from your little fuck-buddy group.”
Matt Hopkins: “HEY!! You watch your fucking mouth talking about me and Nick!!”
The X Effect: “Listen jackass, there’s no need to fucking protect yourself. Because anyone and everyone who has a CLUE about this company know that I could have beaten Kenny Radical last week with one arm tied BEHIND MY BACK!! If you and Nick didn’t say shit, I would’ve fucked up your plans by retaining the title, and then dropping that piece of shit title on your desk at THIS VERY MOMENT!!”
Hopkins shoots up from his chair and leans over his desk, getting nose-to-nose with Cady.
Matt Hopkins: “Is that REALLY your biggest reason, maggot?!”
The X Effect: “For your information asshole… no it’s not.”
Matt Hopkins: “So what the FUCK do you want from ME?!”
The X Effect: “You saw what I did to O’Bom earlier tonight… and you’ve seen my work before against people like Kenny Radical. I can still kick some serious ass, and let it be known that I’m not going to ASK for what’s mine… when the time comes, I am going to TAKE IT!!”
Matt Hopkins: “HA HA!! IN YOUR DREAMS, FAT-ASS!!”
The X Effect: “Oh really?? Then put your money where your mouth is, and book me against another member of your homo group that supports a paper champion like Nick Ryan.”
Matt Hopkins: “Not a problem AT ALL!! Next week on Brawl, it’s gonna be ‘The X Effect’ Brian Cady against… JOCELYN CAMDEN!!”
The X Effect: “It will be my pleasure smacking that bitch around from pillar to post. Enjoy the rest of your evening.”
Cady turns away and walks out of the office, as Hopkins sits back down in his chair.
Matt Hopkins: “The pleasure is all mine, jerk-off… pleasure is all mine.”
