In recent times, many casinos have begun adapting to a bit of a younger demographic. Not just with gambling, but with arcades and other things that the kids can do with their families, and when it's time for gambling, the kids can head to their hotel rooms while the adults are on the casino floor. A great way to have casino time AND family time on the same trip. Few places offer a balance between the two as impressive as the Circus Circus casino in Vegas. Inside this fun place for the whole family are CJ and Kaiyah. While Kaiyah is getting ready to head out, CJ has already booked a room and is waiting to hear from Cholo, his tag team partner for the upcoming Brawl as well as his opponent for WarGames. As the couple descended down the elevator, their mindsets were complete opposites.
“It’s alright, babe. You'll make the flight.” CJ’s tone was calm and relaxing. He could tell that his wife was unhappy with herself. “I know. I just can't believe I overslept. Plus I REALLY don't feel like sitting at the airport waiting three extra hours when I've got so much to do today.” The constant tapping on the elevator floor with her foot served as proof of her anxiety. In an attempt to distract herself, Kaiyah changes the subject completely. “You gonna be alright meeting with Cholo?” “Oh yeah. I'll be fine. Cholo’s cool people, and I haven't really had the chance to just chop it up with anyone on the roster. I mean yeah we're still gonna talk strategy and stuff, but it's not often I get to chill with another wrestler without the thought of getting blindsided. I haven't had that kind of time since Spencer Adams was in the company. Granted, that's mainly my fault because of how much I've been going after the World Title, and while that hasn't changed, it doesn't mean I can't get to know some of the people I work with. Not just as rivals or enemies, but as people. There are a lot of people in the world like them, like Cholo, and the more I understand, the more I can help uplift people.”
*DING*
“That's sweet. It's about time you finally learned to enjoy yourself without being paranoid.” Kaiyah teased while she and CJ were speed walking out of the elevator. CJ laughs lightly at the remark. “Oh that's rich coming from little miss frantic over here.” “Wooooowwwwwww! That's why you're gonna get a goose egg on your next slot bonus.” “Damn, a goose egg? Not even my bet back?” “Nope. Just a cloud of dust.” “That's diabolical. I'ma throw that dust cloud at you when you get back.” They go back and forth with lightheaded jabs until they reach the casino entrance. They stop briefly to share a quick kiss before Kaiyah exits.
While Kaiyah is off to catch her flight, CJ receives a call from his tag partner and soon to be opponent, Cholo. “Choloooooooo! What's gooooooood? Have you made it to Vegas? Awesome. Go home? That makes sense. Easier drive and whatnot. I'd like to, but I've already got a room booked here for a couple of nights. Maybe next time. Which casino? Circus Circus. Because we're about to beat up a pair of clowns. So I figured it's only fitting we strategize in a circus. I got my laptop and some snacks so that we can study their style and come up with our own method of attack. That way we can be a well oiled machine out there......oh yeah, anytime fam. See you soon. Byeonara!"
He hangs up the phone. While being a short distance from the casino floor, CJ is on his laptop waiting to meet up with Cholo. He hasn't lost sight of getting his hands on the World Title, that doesn't mean he's not willing to team up with Cholo. After all, he's a good guy. Phoenix has no animosity towards him, so that should make it easier for them to work together. However, he knows that beyond this calm comes the storm, and his focus will shift from seeing Cholo as an ally to facing him as an opponent. Now is his last chance to learn about his frienemy, and CJ aims to make sure he makes the most of this opportunity. First, clown the clowns. Then, conquer Cholo.
Clowns are polarizing. Normally when people see a clown, they're either excited or terrified. It's quite interesting. The same beings that are supposed to bring joy, laughter, and happiness to the world are the ones that are monsters that are the catalysts of countless nightmares. It's an extremely sharp contrast, but what if I told you that there was one more?
The DUMB clowns.
These are the ones that try to be the terrifying type because they're not entertaining, only to end up unintentionally being as brainless as the silly clowns pretend to be. They're the lowest of the low. The most pathetic of the clown archetype. Simply put, they're Clowns R Us. A duo of dunces that do their dastardly deeds and then disappear. However, they made a fatal mistake in the previous Brawl when they tried to jump Cholo. The current World Champion. Yes, that just further proves that neither Pogo nor Stitches could hold a balloon animal sized candle against him. So they decided to use the numbers game. In theory, it should've worked since it's two-on-one, but there's one variable that changes everything. The ONE in question. That ONE just went through war to recapture the World Title. That ONE showed the world what he's capable of when he's pissed off. And those insults to the title of ‘clowns’ have drawn out his hatred. Now he's set to rip your noses off and shove them down your throats.
Unfortunately for you, that's just the beginning of your problems. You see, that ONE named Cholo is MY opponent at WarGames. MY opponent for the World Title. The fact that you two bumbling idiots decided to try and possibly injure him before one of the biggest matches that the WGWF has ever seen crosses a line that you can't turn back from. Now you've stepped into the Luminary’s strike zone. I wasn't going to get involved as long as it stayed one-on-one. The moment you clowns decided to try to stack the deck, all you did was turn the jack-in-the-box, causing a fist to come out and deck you in your faces. You tried to take the honor out of what's about to be the biggest match of my young career here in the WGWF. For that, there WILL be consequences!
At the go home Brawl before WarGames, the circus will come to town! And the circus will then be burned to the ground! Then Cholo and I will stomp out the ashes. You've given the two most dangerous men in the company a common enemy. YOU! We're gonna make you regret that. Between my focus and Cholo's fury, you'll be caught in a hurricane of hurt with nowhere to run or hide. No party tricks or sneak attacks will save you. You won't get a pie to the face, but I'll damn sure feed you a PyroPiston, free of charge. I'll be honest with you, Pogo and Stitches, we're looking forward to decimating the both of you until the world sees you as the frauds you really are, Clowned R Us. I'd wish you good luck, but you're not worth receiving positive energy. Only an ass kicking of a lifetime, and that's JUST what you're gonna get.
A short time later, Kaiyah gets to the airport. She takes out her phone and rolls her eyes in disgust before sending a text message.
-”I'm here”
-”About time. What took you so long?”
-”I overslept.”
-”You told him, didn't you?”
-”No I didn't. We wouldn't be having this conversation if I did.”
-“I suppose that's an acceptable answer for now. I'll see you on the plane.”
A frustrated sigh combos with Kaiyah putting her phone away. She makes her way onto the plane, taking a seat by the window. A minute later, a casually dressed woman takes a seat next to her. A sadistic smile sends a chill down Kaiyah's spine. “Long time no see.” “Not a long enough time, and I'd rather continue to not see you.” Kaiyah's verbal hostility only draws out a chuckle from the lady sitting next to her. “There's that fiery attitude I missed so much. Yeah.... we're gonna have a great time together. Isn't that right....
There's a fade to black.
