KC Cooper and Pax Egan stood at the entrance of their local zoo, excitement buzzing between them like the hummingbirds they were eager to see. KC adjusted her sunglasses, squinting at the vibrant sign that read “Welcome to the Wild!” while Pax fished for their tickets in his backpack.
Pax: “Got ‘em!”
Pax announced, waving the tickets in the air.
KC: “Great! First stop, the aviary?”
KC suggested, her eyes already scanning the map.
Pax: “Definitely. I heard they have a new macaw exhibit.”
Pax said with excitement in her tone, handing over the tickets to the attendant at the gate.
They strolled through the zoo, marveling at the colorful birds in the aviary, the playful antics of the monkeys, and the sheer size of the elephants. Every exhibit seemed to offer something new and fascinating.
Pax: “Look at the way the macaw uses its beak to climb.”
Pax observed.
Pax: “That’s some serious upper body strength.”
KC nodded, her mind already swirling.
KC: “The way the monkeys swing from branch to branch with precision. We could definitely incorporate some of their agility into our training.”
After an hour of exploring, their stomachs began to rumble. They made their way to the food court, the scent of freshly grilled burgers and fries drawing them in.
Pax ordered at the counter.
Pax: “Two cheeseburgers, please and a large fries to share.”
As they sat down with their food, KC took a bite and sighed.
KC: “Nothing like a good burger after a morning at the zoo. I saved my appetite.”
Pax: “Agreed.”
Pax said, chewing on a fry as her eyes wandered.
Pax: “So, have you thought about our next match?”
KC leaned back, wiping her hands on a napkin.
KC: “Yeah, it’s going to be tough. Our opponent is a gorilla, and a so-called, remember?”
Pax nodded, his expression serious.
Pax: “I’ve been thinking about that. Gorillas are incredibly strong. We need to focus on speed and strategy, not just brute force.”
KC smiled.
KC: “I’ve been thinking the same thing. We need to be unpredictable, use our agility to our advantage. Like the monkeys we saw earlier. Let's not overlook John Blade, the rapper. It seems he's more dedicated to creating new verses for his new rap song than focusing on what really counts in the ring. We should take advantage of that."
Pax: “Exactly. We need to be smart about them.
Gorillas are also highly intelligent. We can’t just charge in.”
KC: “Agreed.”
KC said, finishing the last of her burger.
KC: “Let’s take a walk and talk strategy.”
They headed towards the gorilla exhibit, their conversation getting more intense. The gorillas were lounging around, some munching on leaves, others playfully wrestling.
KC: “Look at them.”
KC points to a particularly large male.
KC: “That’s the kind of strength we’re up against.”
Pax: “Look how they move. Deliberate, and powerful. We need to counter that with speed and finesse. Our speed is our great advantage.”
They stood in silence for a moment, observing the gorillas then Pax turned to KC, a determined look in his eyes.
Pax: “So what’s the plan?”
KC grinned.
KC: “We use their strength against them. We need to be like water, flowing around their attacks, striking where they least expect it.”
Pax: “Keep them off balance.”
Pax continued speaking.
Pax: “Use quick, precise movements. Don’t give them a chance to use their full strength.”
KC nodded, her mind racing with ideas.
KC: “Exactly. We need to practice our evasion techniques, work on our speed drills. And focus on endurance. We have to outlast them.”
As they left the gorilla exhibit, their minds were filled with strategy. They knew the match would be challenging, but they also knew they had the skills and determination to win.
KC: “Ready to hit the gym tomorrow?”
KC asked as they made their way to the zoo’s exit.
Pax: “Absolutely. Let’s turn this visit into our secret weapon.”
KC laughed.
KC: “Who knew a trip to the zoo could be so productive?”
They left the zoo with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to face their opponents with a fresh mindset.
Pax: “Rewind your minds back to Smash where Thunder and Lightning came at us with everything they had, but just like an old-school mixtape, we spooled them up and played them out.”
KC: “That's right, Pax. They thought they could storm in and take our titles, but their strategy backfired, and we weathered the storm. However, celebrations are on hold because we must defend our titles again, challenging us to see how far we are willing to go. Our opponents are none other than A.L. Gorilla and John Blade. Seeing those guys takes me back, KC; it's like Clowns R' Us had a jailbreak. Talk about a mismatched duo—a gorilla and a rapper, or maybe a guy in a gorilla suit? Either way, we weren't expecting this kind of challenge.”
Pax: “That’s a thing we love about WGWF. We love how the company offers a diverse range of challenges. We're more familiar with Mr. John Blade than his opponent, but his behavior raises some concerns. You walk around with your archaic mindset, treating women like they're just props in your sad little play but guess what? Times have changed, and so has this sport. Women are here to show you and everyone like you that we are not just equal; we are superior in every way that matters. So, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to step into that ring, and I'm going to teach you a lesson you won't forget. Not just for me, not just for the women in this audience, but for every woman you've ever disrespected. Your time is up. The era of treating women like second-class citizens is over. When that bell rings, it's not just a match. It's a reckoning and when I'm done with you, you'll know exactly what it means to be humbled by someone you thought was beneath you. You wanted a fight, and now you've got one. Let's see how tough you are when you're up against real champions. When our match concludes everyone will know that the only thing weaker than your respect for women is your so-called strength in that ring.”
KC: “The fact that you are teaming with a gorilla won’t be much beneficial to you. Let me tell King Kong something—you're not the king of the jungle, you're just another monkey trying to climb the ladder. You can pound your chest, you can throw your weight around, but in this ring, none of that matters. What matters is skill, heart, and determination—three things you severely lack. We’ve taken down bigger and badder than you. When we step into that ring, your little charade ends sooner than you think. We’re going to show everyone that beneath that costume is just a scared, confused wannabe who bit off way more than he could chew. We see this match as a prelude to an intense war. When all is said and done, we will walk out the same way we came in—as champions. There is nothing either of you can do to change that outcome.”
Pax: “Got ‘em!”
