Lexi Gold sat in her Mirror Maze, adorned in a crimson Valentine's Day dress. The maze was filled with oddities such as antique dolls, flickering candles, and cracked mirrors reflecting distorted images. As Lexi crafted cards for her enemy, Novia Vidal, the maze seemed to come alive. Shadows danced around her, and whispers filled the air. But Lexi remained focused on the cards themselves; the cards contained images of creepy dolls and cryptic messages. The longer your eyes were fixated on this, the more it became unsettling.
Lost in her strange obsession, Lexi fails to notice the changes in the maze around her. The walls sprouted spiders and snakes, unfazed by the spider that landed on her hair, her focus solely on her task at hand. With each card she completes, she can feel the dark thrill that sends shivers down her spine.
Finally, as she puts the finishing touches on the last card, she places them all inside of an envelope. A wicked smile forms on her face as a result of her handiwork. She gets up off the ground and turns to leave the maze, Lexi is stopped in her tracks by a chilling sight. In the mirrors before her, she sees the reflection of Novia Vidal, her eyes filled with rage and determination.
For a moment, Lexi is frozen in fear, her heart pounding in her chest. But then, with a grin, she realizes the truth: Novia may not be present in body, but her spirit haunts here, and Lexi intends to make sure it never leaves.
With a flick of her wrist, Lexi scatters the cards throughout the maze, disappearing into the shadows, her determination nearing obsession. Within the illusion of the mirrored maze, Valentine's Day went from a joyful occasion to a display of darkness and vengeance, leaving the viewers with a sense of discomfort.
“A year ago, I competed in the Denzel Porter Invitational against my friend Buster Gloves. Despite the initial tension, the competition concluded on a surprisingly positive note, solidifying our friendship. Although I would have found contentment in winning, the outcome left us with lingering thoughts about missed opportunities and a sense of unfulfilled potential.”
“It’s a new year, another chance to renew myself and my name into this business. The DPI serves as the perfect stage for unleashing our aggressiveness, and I couldn't have envisioned a more fitting platform.”
“I just wish it was under better circumstances. Let me explain who Novia Vidal is first and the connection we have. She and I are employed in another company. While she is not at the top of the mountain there, she has been working her way up to that position. I have respect for a woman who consistently puts in hard work and dedication into her ring work. However, recently Miss Vidal made a choice to abandon the good girl image when she turned her back on a mutual friend of mine who also happens to be a performer.”
“I don’t support, or condone that type of behavior. The way you went about it has snake-like behavior written all over it. If you were seeking attention you took the wrong approach. I have recognized my past habits in you, so I have every reason to fight you and beat some sense and respect into you. I’m sure you’re determined to secure a win against a top-tier figure in this business that could potentially open a window of big opportunities, but it won’t be at my expense.”
“Here let me paint you a picture. You, a traitor to the fans, standing in the ring with Lexi Gold, a veteran of the squared ring. You thought you could waltz back into the spotlight after abandoning the people who supported you? Well, think again. I didn't just earn my stripes, I bled for them. My blood will continue to leave its mark at the DPI. What will you bring to the table? Or am I going to be stuck in a game of manipulation with you and your group? You’re the one who pulls their strings and they merely follow your commands.”
“I’m a one woman army, standing tall as a solitary force to be reckoned with, so Novia I encourage you to place your obstacles before me, and I'll crush them, even shatter them. For now enjoy your last moments in the spotlight, because soon, the lights are going out on your sorry excuse for a career.”
“Throughout my career, I've faced numerous opponents from all walks of the wrestling world—veterans, rookies, retirees, and future Hall of Famers. With that in mind, you might wonder, what would victory signify for me, and how might it impact my career path? It's straightforward, really. My goal is to prove to myself and the world that I'm far from washed up. Even when my body feels like giving up at times, I still have what it takes to keep going. Novia holds certain advantages over me, notably her youth and the fact that she hasn't accumulated as much wear and tear on her body as I have.”
“When we meet in the ring, you'll question my ability to endure and see me as just another overhyped wrestler, but I won't let time dictate my worth. I've faced challenges head-on, overcome every obstacle, and emerged even stronger. After enduring some intense training, I'm prepared to shatter any doubt that I’m just a thing of the past, and prove to the world that I'm anything but washed up through my unwavering passion.”

“Cuando pides un deseo a una estrella…”
Underneath the beautiful skyline of Los Angeles, the voice continues.
“No importa quién seas.”
The melody forming from her voice is gentle, yet strong. Along a ten foot wall, she sat alone. Her eyes fixed on one particular object. An object of her desires, one would think. They shifted from the immaculate object down to her wrist as she looked directly at a bracelet that said “Princesa”. Novia Vidal wasn’t like most people in the wrestling business. She didn’t have the exciting life of over-the-top situations that she had been put in front of. Only lessons in life, inside and outside of the ring. Her Spanish slipped for the moment, allowing her to speak in English.
“It was a dream. We all have a dream, right? I grew up in Guánica. I don’t think you’ve heard of it, but I know you’ve never been there. My brothers and I didn’t have anything that you wanted, Lexi. We didn’t have fame, money, or attention, we had nothing. Papa worked two jobs, Mama worked three. It still wasn’t enough. We had each other, and.. For a while, it was all we needed. I didn’t have a dress for every day of the year or jewelry that gleamed in the night sky. Yet, I always dreamed of being.. You.”
As she glanced away from her bracelet, Novia picked up a doll. The image of perfection, she thought as a child. Now, all she saw was Lexi Gold. The blonde hair. The style. The class. It was all encapsulated in this one doll. As the doll laid against her hands, Novia’s head cocked slightly as it drew her attention.
“What’s it like to be wanted by so many men? What’s it like to move from company to company constantly without needing to be loyal based on how much money you needed? My brother and I lived no further than ten miles from you, and it looked nothing like what you have. You don’t need anything. You could walk away from wrestling tomorrow and nothing would change for you. You’d lose NOTHING. You’d still be you. You’d still be this sex symbol and celebrity. Sponsors would clamor to you even more because for every appearance you make, you’d make triple what I get. In one single day.”
With her eyes remaining on the doll, Novia began to frown. Her beliefs remained intact; She wanted to be what Lexi Gold had become.
“Why do you do it? Why do you keep coming back and doing all these things? You’ve put your body through everything, and nothing changes! You’re still you. You get broken with every single table you go through or every single time you get hit with a chair. Do you get a bruise? No. You come back to perfection. The beauty that never fades.”
She had become more alarmed by what Lexi Gold was. If someone can go through all that pain, how could someone like Novia defeat her?
“Papa told me that I’d be beautiful forever. I never believed him, you know why? Beauty fades, I thought. The more he told me that I’d always be special, the less special I felt. Why? How did you become special? You're no better than I am. You lived easy. You had everything sent to you when I COULDN'T EVEN HAVE SUPPER! You do television shows, you do commercials. You’re on magazine covers, you get everything. Why not me? Why not someone who came from the BOTTOM of the world and has fought for every single thing?! I slept in rundown apartments with twelve people. Cars, I slept in those too! When I came to America, all I could think about is Disney. All I could think about was being Cinderella. Six months later, my brother was signed to SWWS. I couldn’t make it, because everyone wanted Lexi Gold. Everyone wanted the blonde goddess.. Do you know what I did?
I took my last ten dollars and found a way over the border to Mexico. I had to wear a mask, Lexi. I had to face reality, I’m not Lexi Gold. I wore a mask because of YOU. The standard you set for this business wasn’t attainable for someone like me. THIS IS YOUR FAULT…
You took my dreams from me because YOU WERE ALREADY LIVING THEM!! I wanted to be the only, not the first or last. You made that impossible. I found my way into SWWS, FINALLY. You know what the first thing I saw was? Lexi fucking Gold. The one person who had everything. Not handed to her, I won’t lie. You fought for a lot, but you had a lot of help along the way. You knew the right people and you knew how to flaunt the things that got you there.
I got here by wrestling. I got here by doing moves that nobody else can really do. They called me "La Estrella Fugaz". The Shooting Star. I flew through the night like a bat and swooped down on my prey. You may think this will be just another match, like so many others have. You'll see yourself emerging with victory, and then it's gone. The golden opportunity falls short as the star takes your light and makes it hers. I promise you, the Denzel Porter Invitational will be the night that you'll wish never happened.
It isn’t glamour shots that will get the victory. It isn’t the urge to hurt yourself to get even more fame than you already have.. No. It’s skill and it’s will. I will hurt you, and I will defeat you. I will be YOU better than you ever could.”
The world saw Novia Vidal as someone who was simply beneath Lexi Gold. As her eyes left the doll, it focused on the true prize. A stunning mansion in the heart of Los Angeles. The home of the Golden Goddess.. Lexi Gold. Sights were set. The dollhouse would remain, but a new doll would take it over. With her shattered dream facing the possibility of becoming a reality, her melody continued.
“Cualquier cosa que tu corazón desee… Vendrá a ti.”
