To generate excitement for the upcoming Brawl Brand pay-per-view, the Cassette Collective opted to be featured on the Buzz Adams Morning Show, a radio broadcast situated in El Paso, Texas. Taking advantage of their spare hours in the area, KC and Pax thought it would be a fantastic idea to explore one of the local zoos. They explore the exhibits, savoring cold milkshakes. The next stop involves observing elephants. KC, enjoying her milkshake, gazes at two elephants bathing.
KC: Ever wonder what would happen if I leaped over this wall to pet one?
Pax dismisses the idea, leaning against the wall, observing the elephants.
Pax Egan: Well, mate, either someone catches you, calls the cops, and you get arrested, or the massive elephants might just stomp you.
KC pondered, rubbing her chin, when a new idea dawned on her.
KC Cooper: What if I did it swiftly, ensuring no one caught a glimpse?
Pax Egan: Are you willing to take that risk? Sure, they're adorable, but I won't jeopardize our friendship over you wanting to be Jack Hanna. How about I get you a stuffed elephant instead?
KC chuckled, tossing her milkshake into the trash.
KC: If you're paying, then sure, why not?
The two friends shared a laugh, slung their backpacks over their shoulders, and headed to the gift store. While browsing the gift store, they examined various items on display, including the sought-after stuffed elephant. Just as KC was about to select one, their attention shifted to the right, where they spotted a man dressed in a clown suit resembling Pogo's attire. They whispered toward each other expressing, not exactly happy.
Pax Egan: Why is he here? Do you think he followed us?
KC Cooper: I'm not happy. Should we grab something, knock him over, and make a quick escape?
Pax was taken aback by the suggestion.
Pax Egan: Are you serious? No! Let's wait until our match to resort to physical...
The guy glanced their way, greeted them, revealing he wasn't Pogo after all but perhaps a doppelganger of his. KC and Pax, feeling embarrassed, shyly waved before opting to skip the stuffed animal, exiting the gift shop and the zoo together as the scene faded.
TWO HOURS LATER..
In the well-organized radio studio, the air buzzes with anticipation. The room features neatly arranged radio gear, with a large table at its core. Buzz Adams claims one side, while KC and Pax position themselves opposite him. Amidst the commercial break, casual chatter fills the air before they all seamlessly transition, putting on their headphones,
signaling that they were prepared to start.
Buzz Adams: Welcome back to the Buzz Adams show. I'm Buzz Adams, your host, and today I'm joined by two special guests from the wrestling scene – Pax Egan and KC Cooper, known as the Cassette Collective. How are you both doing? Thanks for being here.
They exchange smiles.
Pax Egan: Appreciate the invite, mate. We tuned in to your show on the way here and the week leading up to our visit to El Paso. We're big fans.
Buzz Adams: I'm grateful for that. Love the accents, very charming. You both hail from New Zealand, born and raised, right?
KC nods and brushes her hair back.
KC Cooper: That's correct. We love our hometown, but wrestling has taken us around the globe, exploring some incredible places. This is our first time in El Paso, and it's been an amazing experience.
Buzz Adams: Anything specific you liked about the city?
Pax takes a sip of water before answering.
Pax Egan: Checked out some trampoline parks; we're big fans of those. Great way to burn off some energy.
Buzz Adams: I've got an eight-year-old back home, and he'd say the same. Never wants to leave when I take him to one.
KC and Pax nod in agreement.
Buzz Adams: Now, let's dive into wrestling. WGWF is in town on the twenty-first with a stacked lineup. You two are in tag team action. Tell the listeners about your opponents and what they can expect.
Both ladies express disapproval at the mention of their opponents.
KC Cooper: Our upcoming opponents are a duo called Clowns ‘R’ Us, featuring Pogo and Stitches the clown. They're all about humor and having a good time. We, being friendly, decided to extend some gifts and introduce ourselves to them. We usually get along with everyone, but, mate, things went south when Pogo handed us his O card. That friendship was over in an instant. As far as what to expect from us in the ring is concerned this is our return match to the WGWF. We plan to dish out some payback for the disrespect and pick up s win and after that who knows where the road will lead. We know one thing though we plan to work our way to the top. We won’t allow our past failures stop us from achieving success.
Buzz Adams: Wait, hold up. What's an O card?
Pax Egan: Onlyfans…
Buzz Adams: This Pogo guy asked you to check out his Onlyfans page. What a jerk. Well good luck and hope you kick their asses and gain your respect back. Here is a fun question I have for you both before I let you go, what do you call your fanbase? Collectors?
KC Cooper: We haven’t figured out one yet, but Collectors is a good one.
Pax Egan: What about the srunchers?
Buzz Adams: The scrunchers huh? I like that. Well hey it’s been great having you two and can’t wait to see the match next week. We will take a quick commercial break and we will return with some music.
The Cassette Collective takes a break, placing headsets down and getting water as the screen turns black.
KC: We grew up valuing this business and people in general, which is why we wanted to assist Santa with Christmas. However, looking back, delivering presents to those clowns wasn't a smart choice, and if we knew it would end in a disaster, we wouldn't have done it.
Pax: You live and you learn and we learned not to put our trust into everyone. Sure some may say that we misunderstood the situation for something else, but I don’t think that is the case. We felt insulted at that moment. More insulted than we ever have in our lives. Word of advice work on bettering your approach if not you will have no friends in this business, just enemies.
KC: I agree with her, that's why we were thrilled when Candace Page announced our rematch against you two. It's a chance to resolve our differences and release the pent-up frustration. While the world knows us for our cheerful presence and scrunchies, be prepared to witness a more serious side of Cassette Collective when the bell rings, which it has become evident that is not your guyses strength.
Pax: We won't tolerate any attempts to ridicule our names any longer. You assume you are the main act of Brawl, but in reality the only joke is the both of you. You show up with your painted faces, oversized shoes, and props to try and entertain the people, but when all is said and done we'll transform your circus into a sideshow, asserting our superiority as the top team.
KC: Paint yourself as heroes, but your actions in the ring tell a different story. Your attempt to deceive us has not worked. There's something sinister behind the face paint and comedy. That's why I look forward to wiping off the face paint and teaching you boys a lesson by instilling some respect through a good beating. We'll utilize our entire moveset that we acquired over the years to bring you down.
Pax: We are ready for First Dance, it's the Cassette Collective in action. Don't let the old-school name fool you; there will be no rewinding the past of failed attempts on our parts. Instead, we are confident in ourselves heading into this bout.
KC: Soon the world will bear witness Clowns R’ Us in a loop of defeat. Hit play on the future and that future belongs to US.
