[[The rain lashes down onto the man's umbrella as he stands in the cemetery, veiled in darkness and echoing with the low rumble of thunder. Illuminated by occasional flashes of lightning, tombstones stood like silent sentinels amidst the cascading rain, casting elongated shadows across the sodden earth. The wind howled mournfully, carrying the scent of petrichor through the air, while the storm's symphony seemed to harmonise with the whispers of the departed souls resting in eternal slumber…

The man shifts his umbrella slightly to the side as he places the spliff between his lips and we watch as Devlin Knight makes his way from the tombstone, across the mud and onto solid ground. Flashes of light off in the distance catch his eye, but this isn't lightning now, this time it's something different, something Devlin can't quite put a finger on. He takes a draw on the spliff as he walks through the gates of the cemetery and looks up as the rain slowly begins to dissipate…
However as Devlin looks up at the serene night sky, tiny glimmers ignite in a sequence, akin to a subtle, intricate dance of celestial sparkles. The shimmering lights, almost imperceptible to the naked eye, a captivating symphony of impulses passing through, just like stars twinkling in the night, each carrying its own unique significance in the grand cosmic symphony. Suddenly something closer to the ground grabs his attention and Devlin spots The Bunny walking towards him…]]

Devlin: ”Figured you'd show up sooner or later…”
Bunny: ”Had to be here to see this, honestly… Ego deaths are quite a spectacular thing…”
Devlin: ”Aren’t they? I mean this is something you'd only really experience when you're sleeping.”
Bunny: ”Or when you've been knocked out facing Tristan Slater and aren't getting up for the ten count…”
Devlin: ”I'm still there, huh?”
Bunny: ”Oh yeah, you're not waking up just yet nor are you winning this one I'm afraid…”
[[Devlin takes another draw on the spliff before letting what's left of it drop from his mouth as he steps on it, crushing it underneath his Louis Vuitton’s.]]
Devlin: ”Makes perfect sense I suppose, I was getting a little ahead of myself after the World Title match against Cholo…”
Bunny: ”Way ahead of yourself buddy… But still, nice night for reflection eh? Then you'll be awake in no time…”
[[As Devlin and The Bunny look up in the midst of a breathtaking display of fireworks in the dark, starry night, a single burst of light streaks across the sky—it's the start of something remarkable; the neurons in Devlin’s brain firing... As this particular neuron ignites, it sends forth a dazzling chain reaction. With each neuron firing, it's as if a new firework is launched into the sky, creating a mesmerising sequence of vibrant patterns and colours.
The crackling sound of the fireworks mirrors the electrical impulses travelling along the neurons, lighting up the neural pathways with every pulse. Each burst signifies the exchange of information, like the neurons communicating and processing thoughts, sensations, or memories… Memories that seem to be jumbled, confusing and maybe not even Devlin’s…]]
In the vast expanse of existence, I've soared through cosmic tapestries, transcending the confines of time and traversing the limitless dimensions woven into the fabric of reality. Each leap sends a tremor through my being, propelling me beyond the known boundaries of the universe.
Through the kaleidoscope of space, I've witnessed celestial ballets, where stars pirouette in galactic symphonies, painting nebulae in hues that defy the imagination. Planets, like gems scattered across the cosmos, bear the scars of ancient epochs, whispering secrets of eras long past…
But nothing has ever compared to what I've been through during my time in the current incarnation on this planet we know as the principle Earth. My time as Devlin Knight so far has seen me well, I haven't gone hungry nor thirsty and I've wanted for nothing… Could the same be said for my time as the other guy? I personally don't think so but hey I spent more time as him than I ever have as Devlin so far… So maybe that time will come at some stage, but for now? Now I focus on what's ahead of me… Chaos, Witches and the Intercontinental Title.
[[The sight is blurry, but we can just make out the silhouette of someone sitting in a chair across the room. Devlin blinks a couple of times as the vision clears up slowly and we see Aurora cradling little Ava in her arms. She looks up as Devlin stretches and a smile crosses her face…]]

Aurora: ”Well hey there poppa! You've been sleeping for quite some time, mama and I have been waiting for you to wake up!”
Devlin: ”I'm sorry Ava, daddy had to take a nap… Hey mama, you okay?”
[[Aurora and Devlin share a kiss as he sits himself up and stretches. She places Ava in his arms and grabs the chair she’d been sitting on, bringing it closer.]]
Aurora: ”Oh I'm good, we've been fine the whole day and half the evening you've been out.”
Devlin: ”I've been out that long?”
Aurora: ”You have, it's early Wednesday morning…”
Devlin: ”Damn, why so long? Not much happened against Slater to have caused that…”
Aurora: ”Maybe you just got lazy? Over tired? I mean are these hospital beds that comfy?”
Devlin: ”Not even a little…”
Ava begins to fuss, so Aurora takes her from Devlin who himself removes the bed covers and slides out, grabbing his jeans from the cabinet and pulling them on. He looks around for his hoodie and slides that on too.
Aurora: ”So, you've got to travel to Dallas for the next Brawl…”
Devlin: ”Oh yeah? Who am I facing?”
Aurora: ”It’s a triple threat qualifier, for a shot at the Intercontinental Title at First Dance. You're against someone named Enchantra and Chris Chaos…”
Devlin: ”Wow, I said the other day but Candace really has got me working since returning eh?”
There's a knock on the window to the room and both look up to see Abe Greenberg enter the room. He walks straight up to Aurora and Ava and coos at the baby before kissing Aurora on the cheek.
Aurora: ”Heya uncle Abe!”
Abe: ”Heya sweetheart, you good? And how's my precious princess doing?”
Aurora: ”He’ll be okay…”
Devlin: ”Oh ha - ha!”
Both look at Devlin and smirk. Aurora picks up the baby bag after placing Ava in the buggy she had parked in the corner and says her goodbyes. Abe waits until she's out of sight and turns to Devlin who's now getting his sneakers on.
Abe: ”One week.”
Devlin: ”Alright… I'll be ready. But first, Miami and Smash…”
Abe nods and the two men walk out of the hospital room as the scene slowly fades to black…
You see there's not much that can be said for my journey… Except for the fact that I have been dealing with way too many people who are something they're not. People who just aren't people at all, people who have given themselves some sense of false security in what they do… Some form of God complex and yes J Mont I'm talking about you.
I never noticed it when we worked together because I was just like you… Didn't give a shit about those around me, nor how what I did affected them, now? I've grown up and I can see you and what you do, for what it truly is. But I digress, because I've got a hell of a lot more to deal with before I turn my attention to you…
I didn't quite get to the point I was given the opportunity to get to, but I did manage to headline in a match for the WGWF World Title, but everything happens for a reason and for me, that reason is to take the WGWF Intercontinental Championship and make it what Cholo began to do… And a whole lot more, but like everything in life there are blockades in place, hurdles to jump over and mazes to navigate… But for me that'll be like guiding myself through the stars in order to find my way home…
[[As he steps onto the streets of New York City, the air is thick with a mix of excitement and unpredictability. Walking through Times Square, neon signs dazzle above him, competing for attention amid the bustling crowds. The discord of honking taxis and chatter in several different languages fills the air, creating an urban symphony that's both chaotic and strangely harmonious… People from all walks of life pass by, dressed in a mix of styles. Some sporting ripped jeans, leather jackets adorned with studs and patches, and spiky hair dyed in vibrant colours, others donning Polo shirts, khakis, and boat shoes as they hurry along the streets. The hipsters flaunt their shoulder pads, power suits, and oversized blazers, exuding confidence and ambition.
Some time has passed as he ventures into Greenwich Village, where the streets transform into an artist's canvas. Graffiti-covered walls showcase intricate murals and tags, reflecting the city's rebellious spirit. Art galleries display works by emerging talents, while street performers captivate audiences with their music and dance. Passing by iconic venues like CBGB, the raw energy of punk music spills onto the streets, drawing in a diverse crowd of music enthusiasts. Inside, bands belt out their angst-filled lyrics, shaping the soundscape of the era. The aroma of street food wafts through the air, tempting passersby with the sizzle of hot dogs, pretzels, and roasted nuts sold from colourful carts and as he places a coin into a newspaper vending machine and pulls out a copy of the New York Times we see the date reads March 8th, 1983. Devlin Knight stands, takes his paper and turns towards The Back Fence, a music bar sitting on the corner of Bleecker and Thompson and walks through the door…
In the corner a three-piece band plays a cover of “Mad World” by Tears for Fears and one of the patrons watching was… Wait, was that Bob Dylan? Quite possibly, but Devlin paid him no mind as he ordered an Amaretto and Coke and sat with his face away from the stage light. The song finishes and Devlin applauds almost spilling his drink on the guy next to him as he does…]]

Devlin: ”Damn, sorry man…”
Man: ”Oh don't sweat it brother, never touched me… These guys are bodacious huh?”
Devlin: ”Yeah, they're pretty smooth. Hella range on the singer too.”
Man: ”Oh for sure, she's Radical!”
Devlin: ”You an exec or something?”
Man: ”Me? Nah broski, I'm just here supporting my wife… She's an actress you see.”
Devlin: ”Oh that's cool, where's she at now?”
Man: ”She’s taken the twins to Macy’s, they're only a year old…”
Devlin: ”Oh, you got twins eh? Sweet.”
Man: ”Hah! Yeah, listen to me telling you this like we know each other…”
Devlin: ”Don’t sweat it man, I've got kids myself… So would I recognise your wife??”
Man: ”Perhaps, she goes by Cindy-Lee Reynolds…”
Devlin: ”Wait, Cindy-Lee??”
Man: ”Oh you do know her?? Well, she goes by Knight now so…”
[[Slowly Devlin stands up without acknowledging the man as he spots Abe waving him over from the entrance to the toilets.]]
Devlin: ”I’m… I'm sorry Francis I've got to go…”
[[Devlin pats him on the shoulder and begins to walk away, as Abe rushes him over with his hand…]]
Francis: ”Okay kid… Oh, hey I didn't tell you my name?”
[[Devlin sidles up to Abe and straight past him. He stops and spins around pointing out towards the bar…]]
Devlin: ”That’s… Abe that's…”
Abe: ”Yeah Devlin… That’s your pops. Francis Knight. This is where we find out exactly what happened to you, for Stephen Debonair to end up adopting you, but right now? We have to go… We will revisit.”
Devlin: ”But Abe, if we're able to find out…-”
Abe: ”Another time mate… The temporal manifester is losing capacity, we need to go back and fix it before we can do this…”
[[Devlin sighs, nods in understanding and pushes the door to the men's bathroom open, where a luminescent purple hue glows around one of the cubicles… He steps in as the scene closes out…]]
It isn't just time and space that I have travelled, it isn't just the cosmic multitude of tiers and levels of dimensions that I have journeyed across… Memories from various lifetimes flood my consciousness day in and day out, woven into the fabric of my soul's journey through time, not being able to forget is both a blessing and a curse.
In one existence, I find myself as a nomadic wanderer, making my way across immeasurable deserts under a scorching sun, seeking wisdom in the whispers of the wind. In another, a healer, tending to villagers plagued by illness in a quiet community in the mountains. There was also a time when the call of the sea beckoned me… I sailed thunderous oceans, embracing the relentless rhythm of crashing waves. I was a sailor, a navigator sailing uncharted waters…
Each of these existences offered lessons, experiences, and a unique perspective, shaping the essence of my being across lifetimes and now, here I am bringing each of those lessons learned to the forefront with me as I walk into the American Airlines Centre… And as I face you both…
[[Slowly in the darkness, a figure emerges and walks toward a spotlight situated in the centre of vision… Devlin Knight dressed in black sneakers, black jeans and a black hooded top with two giant G’s interwoven into each other (standing for Gods Given). He stops walking and raises both eyebrows as he speaks.]]

Devlin: ”Monday December fourth, Dallas, Texas I will set foot inside the ring to take on two individuals with the goal to make it to First Dance and participate in whatever awaits me, vying for the WGWF Intercontinental Title… A belt that has as much prestige in the company as the World Championship, a belt that holds so much in the way of battle, respect, loyalty and consistent ability… But before I can even get there I've got two individuals, namely Chris Chaos and Enchantra, blocking my way… But believe me, I'm more than focused, more than ready, more than prepared to stake my claim in that niche category and among those warriors!
Enchantra… A Witch by all accounts who deals in the dark arts and blood magic, extremely interesting. A less intelligent man would accuse Enchantra of being a wannabe extra from the Harry Potter movies, but I know better. Growing up with a coven in my family consisting of my daughter, sister and her girlfriend I know very well the ins and outs of that particular craft… This witch is attempting to make herself the perfect warrior so far she's got the charisma of John Blade and well, that's it… So what does she want to take from Chris Chaos? I couldn't tell you, but she would have everything she needed in Devlin Knight and more, that's for certain…
Not only is this woman a Witch, she is seemingly a Spirit of the black realm who has taken over an unwitting vessel… Someone who appears to know all about Wrestling at that, and given the parasite inside, is going to make her all the more dangerous… And to top it off, she's got this big mountain beast she calls “manthing” that basically does all the stuff she's too cowardly to do herself. But the thing is, she isn't Devlin Knight, I don't care if she's Insidious, I don't care if she's the exorcism of Emily Rose! I don't even care if she's that pig thing from The Amityville Horror! She - is not - me!”
[[Devlin moves slightly to his left as we follow his every move, the spotlight still strong and the darkness around him still enveloping his surroundings…]]
Devlin: ”And then, we have Chris Chaos, a man I know a little about but never had the honour of stepping into the ring with, until now… An XWF Hall of Famer, an XWF top lister… A man who has held the XWF Universal Title, a man who was part of one of the best XWF Tag-Teams with Gabe Reno, Iconoclast, who also went on to win the WWH World Tag Titles… A man who has won the XWF TV title and X-Treme titles twice a piece and been PW Champ and, a man who like Enchantra, isn't Devlin Knight, a man who appears to be walking into the WGWF and making demands already. Oh yeah, I've seen your little shots being taken at Cholo… But rest assured you'll have to get past me first before you even consider going for the World Title.
You know what, Chris? I've decided I'm going to “let it in”, I've decided that whatever it is, because I've not figured it out yet, I'm gonna let it in. Could be a vampire, could be some kind of virus, maybe even a stray dog! Who knows?! All I know is, I'm opening the door wide and I'm extending the invite because well… Why the hell not, eh?! You can advertise your Championships all you wish too because until you're sitting there counting thirty belts over five promotions across the globe, Rookie, Wrestler and Matches of the year in successive years, breaking records left, right and centre then boss? You don't have the right to call out anyone…
Monday night, you'll both see what Devlin Knight brings to the table and you can have the pride to tell people, you lost to the WGWF Intercontinental Champion…”
