OOC: No where near what I wanted but family drama just took a crap ton out of me. I apologize for that. I know it's super late but better something rather than nothing.
Skylar stared at her phone, looking at the CuriousCat app that she had downloaded to see what kind of questions that she would get. She knew there was the chance for creepers, but she wasn’t expecting someone to ask her who the guy looking in her window was. Of course, it had freaked her out, but she remained calm with her response to it. Though, of course, she was now regretting living in a first floor apartment…and regretting having not gone to Chicago with Otto to watch one last Trauma in person before getting back to it for WGWF. The brunette let out a shaky breath before she slowly, and carefully, began going around to each window in her apartment, taking quick glances out of them before closing the blinds and pulling the shades. Carsons jumped a little when her phone’s alert notification went off, and she let out a shaky laugh when she saw it was a notification from Adrianna.
Skylar Carsons: ”Calm down, Sky…it was just Adri. You should have known she’d have something to say to that creep.”
Skylar sent out a tweet asking if anyone was available for a video call and let out a sigh of relief when Jessi said that she would be in a bit. It took a little bit, but when her phone rang with a video call from her friend, a breath of relief escaped her lips yet again. While she had hoped to have heard from her boyfriend, Skylar understood that Otto had a show the next day and was likely doing last minute preparations for it. She attempted to put a smile on her face as she turned the video on, seeing Jessi eating some sushi.
Skylar Carsons: ”Hey, Jessi! Late night snack?”
Jessi Ozborne: ”Something like that…had a girls’ evening with Blaze. You know if we find out who sent you that question, they’re going to get their asses kicked, right?”
Skylar closed her eyes for a few moments as she nodded, not sure if she wanted to know who the person was or not. She could see her friend watching her with concern, but she gave her a smile to try and ease the worry.
Skylar Carsons: ”Yeah, I know, Jessi. And I’ll be alright…Adrianna asked Lana if there was anyone that could come sit with me for a little while since Otto’s in Chicago and everything. I’m sure it was just someone trying to mess with me or something since the first edition of Smash, with the new roster, is coming up. Especially with me having a match on the show and all.”
Jessi Ozborne: ”That’s right! You hung back this weekend to get yourself ready for your upcoming match. I know you’re going to kick some ass! Who’re you going against, again?”
Skylar gave a little nod as she watched the other woman pop a piece of sushi into her mouth. The brunette had to think for a moment before making an ‘Oh!’ face before she responded.
Skylar Carsons: ”Amber Mansley! That’s who I’m against on Monday! I guess she thinks she’s some big shot or something, I don’t know. She’s had one or two more matches in WGWF than I have, but from what I’ve seen and heard, she’s not all that impressive…at least not to me. I don’t know…I haven’t exactly been at my best in my last couple of matches there.”
Skylar watched as Jessi rolled her eyes at the comment, and the brunette braced herself. She knew that a lecture of some kind was going to be coming her way…that was until she watched the other woman take just a touch too much wasabi with her next piece of sushi. She watched with amusement as Ozborne began choking on the wasabi, chugging her drink to chase away the spiciness from the condiment. Jessi let out a few more coughs before she was able to speak again, finally.
Jessi Ozborne: ”So. Not. Funny! *coughs* Anyway…you’re Skylar fucking Carsons! Don’t doubt yourself just because of a bad couple of matches! You can kick this bitch’s ass, and I know you can! You just have to believe in yourself is all! Go into this match ready and raring to go, and just do your best! No one can ask or expect more than that of you!”
Skylar gave a nod but before she could say anything else, there was a loud knock at her door, causing her to jump a little. She glanced at the door then at her phone and saw Jessi give her a little nod, basically telling her that she’d be ready to get her some help somehow if it was needed. The brunette got to her feet and walked over to the door, glancing through the peephole to see an older woman with dark hair and bright blue eyes standing there.
Skylar Carsons: ”This must be Lana’s mom. I’ll call you tomorrow, Jessi. Bye!”
Jessi Ozborne: ”Alright, keep me updated! And remember, you can and will kick Mansley’s ass! Later!
Skylar hung the call up and pocketed her phone, slowly answering the door and looking over the woman carefully.
Skylar Carsons: ”You must be Felice…thank you so much for coming. I don’t normally get like this, but there was just something about that message that spooked me.”
Felice Corvin simply nodded as she walked into the opened door. As soon as the older woman was in the apartment, and the door was locked again, Skylar felt oddly at ease. Whatever had been creeping in the night around her apartment wasn’t able to get to her anymore…at least for now.
