“How do I get myself into these things?”
Samuel Chatman stared at the worn-out wrestling boots on the top shelf of his closet. They had been through countless matches, absorbed sweat, blood, and tears, and still carried the indomitable spirit of a wrestler who had given everything to the sport. 14 years. It felt like a lifetime, and yet the memories felt as vivid as if they happened yesterday. He remembered his first match, a rookie with more passion than technique, fumbling in the ring but determined to make a mark. The crowd had been smaller then, but their cheers were just as loud and clear in his mind.
Over the years, Samuel had faced formidable opponents. Some were friends outside the ring, sharing a drink after a match, laughing about a move gone wrong or a stunt that brought the house down. Some were rivals, pushing him to his limits and making him question if he had what it took to continue. But every challenge, every setback, was an opportunity. An opportunity to grow, learn, and get better.
There were the championship belts, of course. The gold, the glory, the culmination of years of hard work. But for Samuel, the real reward was the journey. The grueling training sessions, the injuries that made him question if he'd ever step into the ring again, and the moments of self-doubt they all added up to a career he was proud of.
He remembered the fans, their faces painted, holding banners, screaming his name. Their energy, their passion, was infectious. On days when he felt like giving up, it was their cheers, their belief in him, that kept him going.
And then there were the moments of pure magic. Like the time he executed the Wolf’s Howl, his shooting star press. He'd been practicing it for months to win a crucial match. Or the time he stood in the middle of the ring, looking at his opponent, both exhausted, neither willing to give up, a silent nod of respect passing between them. He fought with everything he had left and came out victorious in a match on the grandest stage of them all in the company he was signed with.
The world of wrestling had given Samuel fame, fortune, friends, and a few foes. But more than anything, it gave him a sense of purpose, a passion, a reason to wake up every morning and give it his all.
As he dusted off his boots, he knew he'd never truly hang them up. For even though his active wrestling days continued and he wasn’t in title contention at the moment, the spirit of the sport, and the lessons it taught him, would stay with him forever.

“I’ve been doing this for a very long time; each time I see my name on a match card, the feeling is always the same. I feel blessed and honored to still be performing in front of the masses. Growing up, wrestling wasn’t my first choice, but then I got bit by the bug in high school and never looked back. I was no stranger to being in the spotlight as the captain of the football team, captain of the basketball team, all-around jock. Beloved and coveted by many, but there was one that had my heart, I just wasn’t ready for the kind of love she provided.
She stuck with me, trained with me, pushed me, and was the reason for most of my success in this life. She is the mother of my firstborn, my manager, and still a person who has my back with anything I have going on. Akasha Monroe is one of the best in this business when it comes to managing the careers of superstars. She opened a lot of doors for me in this business. She opens the door, I enter, and then I make them take notice of me and all that I bring to the table.
A lot of people think that my bravado is brash and undeserved, but when you come from a life where you have very little and you are not expected to succeed at anything in life, you have to seize every opportunity that comes your way. That is what I did and continue to do. I have earned the right to feel like I am the shit and let everybody know it. The WGWF is no exception to this storybook career of mine. I have had ups and downs everywhere I’ve been, but I’m on an upward streak here. I’m the man you have to beat if you want to prove that you should be here, something that Enigma, DuBois, & Johnny Stylez are going to learn on Mayhem. Welcome to the master class that I am about to teach.”
Samuel Chatman was no stranger to the wrestling world, but the "Full Metal Mayhem" match was in a league of its own. A brutal, no-holds-barred encounter where anything goes and the ring is strewn with metallic objects - from ladders and chairs to chains and tables. It was not just a test of skill and strength but also a testament to one's resilience and willpower. Samuel knew the risks. He'd seen wrestlers walk out of such matches with deep gashes, broken bones, and scars that lasted a lifetime. But he also knew that winning this match would cement his legacy as one of the all-time greats.
He spent weeks preparing, both mentally and physically. His training sessions were longer and more intense. He incorporated hardcore drills that simulated the chaotic environment of the Full Metal Mayhem. Slamming onto tables, practicing aerial moves off ladders, and understanding how to utilize the objects around the ring as weapons without getting severely hurt in the process.
But physical preparation was only half the battle. Mentally, he had to steel himself for the pain and carnage. He visualized the match every night, walking through every possible scenario in his mind. Samuel sought advice from veterans who had been through similar matches, gleaning insights and strategies that would give him an edge.
In the week leading up to the match, Samuel's routine became even more rigorous. He watched tapes of his opponent's past matches, looking for patterns, weaknesses, and any small detail that he could exploit. He also revisited his previous Full Metal Mayhem matches, analyzing his moves, understanding his mistakes, and plotting his strategy.
The night before the match, Samuel sat in his home gym, the metallic gleam of weights and chains reflecting in his eyes. He wasn't just preparing for a match; he was preparing for war. He had a ritual, an old wolf mask from his rookie days, that he would hold during his meditation sessions. It symbolized the transformation from Samuel Chatman, the man, to "The Lone Wolf", the wrestler.
On the day of the match, the air was thick with anticipation. As Samuel stepped into the arena, the deafening roar of the crowd filled his ears. But in his mind, it was just him and the ring. He had prepared, trained, and visualized this moment for weeks. The pain, the chaos, the metallic mayhem, he was ready for it all. Win or lose, Samuel Chatman was about to put on a show that would be remembered for ages.

“Tonight, I embark on an all-out war with some names that you may know from their work in other companies, but their debut to the WGWF world. I’ve seen them make their flashy entrances and get all of you worked up without lacing up a wrestling boot. That’s cool and everything, but it takes more than a flashy entrance to get the job done when it counts the most.
I’m not a hater, I got no reason to be, but I watched DuBois come into the WGWF, and he has been labeled as one of the people to watch. A title that he has not quite earned yet because he has yet to beat the gatekeeper of the WGWF. He packages himself well, and you will watch him because you won’t be able to take your eyes off of me during this match. If he gets in my way, I won’t hesitate to put him down. Melee is a new show, my show.
Some people like John Cable are eager to be on this show because he clearly can’t hack it on Brawl. How many times has he challenged and flopped in big-time matches? It’s like he’s averse to being a champion. He sees the prospect of winning a new title, and like a dog with a scent, he came running. This isn’t going to be your moment in the sun, your show, or any of the shit you are looking for. You weren’t even considered to be in the main event; that should tell you what management thinks of you. I stepped up when someone couldn’t make it. Once again, you just missed the mark; that seems to be your thing. But hey, I’m still very concerned about you, Big Guy.”
Sam chuckles as he knows John Cable will be one of the few who remembers that inside joke from their last meeting.

“Enigma, there is no Smash here to suck your dick and tell the world how good you are after he puts you into prime positions. You have to earn your spot here in the WGWF. That’s what people like me are for, to make you work to earn everything you get here. If you want to be known as the monster you claim to be, then you have to go through me. If you thought facing my little sister over at the Entity pushed you to your limits, then I am going to be your worst nightmare. I’m going to expose you as the overrated wrestler that you are. I’m actually going to enjoy that as a measure of revenge for Toddy. I am glad that I am going to be on the welcoming committee for you.
Johnny Stylez, where to begin? I owe you a debt that I intend to pay when we step into that ring tonight. You begged to get me into OPW to restart your company, billed me as the face of your hardcore division, and then you ghosted all of us. I was robbed of my big moment in front of the world. My name was on everybody's lips because of the division that I helped to rebuild for you. Then boom, it was all for nothing. I promised myself that if I ever saw you, that hands would be laid, and debts would be paid. You weren’t shit then, and you won’t be shit now. I am going to make you disappear for good this time. I’m going to make sure the WGWF isn’t corrupted by all your bullshit. Fuck you, Stylez!
Tonight I am going to reintroduce myself; the man has transformed into “The Lone Wolf”. All of my opponents will hear the wolf howl before being ripped apart by my teeth. I’m hungry and will not be denied. Oh, and before I go, I know this night is supposed to be about Justin York, but fuck that baby-backed bitch. I ain’t doing shit for him. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire. I will Sparta kick that bitch in his bird chest into a bottomless pit.”
Every wrestler has an inner beast, a persona that's larger than life. For Samuel Chatman, that beast was "The Lone Wolf." As the Full Metal Mayhem match drew near, Samuel felt the transformation was necessary. He wasn't just stepping into one of the most brutal matches in wrestling history; he was entering as an entity that symbolized raw power, resilience, and solitary strength.
The metamorphosis began days before the match. Samuel started distancing himself from everyone, even his closest allies and trainers. He would spend hours in isolation, channeling the spirit of the wolf. An animal known for its sharp instincts, cunning, and prowess.
His training changed too. Samuel would begin his sessions at dusk, running through the woods near his home, feeling the ground beneath him, hearing the sounds of nature, and tapping into the primal instincts of a predator. It was more than just physical preparation; he was aligning himself with the soul of the wilderness.
He altered his appearance for the match. His usually clean-shaven face now sported a fake rugged beard to mock John Cable, his hair grown longer and wilder. The most significant transformation was his new wrestling attire: dark, wolf-themed trunks and boots, complemented by a black entrance cloak with the image of a lone wolf howling at the moon.
Tonight, the atmosphere in the locker room was electric. Whispers filled the air as other wrestlers and staff caught glimpses of Samuel, or rather, "The Lone Wolf." The energy around him was palpable, an aura of mystique and intimidation.
As his entrance music hit, a haunting wolf's howl echoed throughout the arena. The lights dimmed, and a cold blue hue enveloped the place. Samuel, cloaked in his new attire, made his way to the ring with a slow, deliberate pace. His eyes, usually filled with determination, now had a wild, untamed look. The crowd, sensing this transformation, responded with a mix of awe and excitement.
Inside the ring, amidst the chaos of metal objects, "The Lone Wolf" was in his element. Every move was more aggressive, every slam resonated with a primal force, and every glance at his opponent carried the cold, calculating stare of a predator sizing up its prey.
The Full Metal Mayhem match was not just about winning for Samuel. It was about unveiling this new, raw, and unbridled version of himself to the world. As "The Lone Wolf," Samuel Chatman had not just transformed his persona; he had elevated the very essence of what it meant to be a wrestler in the eyes of fans worldwide.
