The last time we saw the warrior know as Ragnarök he had a journey to Valhalla he would not forget anytime soon. Odin spoke truth to him leaving him with even more questions. Everything he knew about his heritage, family and friends was only skin deep. The knowledge Odin gave him made him continue to dig deeper. Ragnarök knew just the place to continue the journey. The house of his father was a place he hadn't been in years. However, the way Odin spoke Ragnarök knew there was something important in that house he never saw before. So, he made the journey back to the family land. Over four acres of land and one beautiful Victorian style home. Making his way in the home his emotions were strong. This was the last place he saw his father alive before going to Valhalla. His scent was still there as the young warrior made his way upstairs to his father room. Everything looked exactly how it was left. Ragnarök looked even closer this time but nothing stood out. He then remembered under the bed was never checked. So, he lifts the mattress to saw a small wooden box.
Ragnarök: What do we have here...
His voice trailed off as he took the box and placed it in the middle of the room. He knelt down and blew the dust off. Playing with the old lock he smashed it and removed it. Opening the box he saw letters, documents and even some old Viking coins.
Ragnarök: Wow, all this time.
These were papers and documents never seen by anyone except his father. Grabbing the first letter he saw Ragnarök read what was written.
My dear son Ragnarök
By the time you read these letters I will no longer be of this world. There are many things you will not understand until the moment is right. I'm sorry you didn't learn more from me over the years. However, the biggest lesson is going to come to you long after I'm gone. Odin has spoken with me and promised greatness with you. He will guide you and protect you only until the time has come for you to go alone. This is not to scare you my son but to encourage you that our bloodline will thrive because of you.
He folded the letter placing it beside him. Reaching down he grabbed another as he continued to read.
My dear son Ragnarök
You are grown now. I'm proud of what you've accomplished. I've always taught you to fight with a purpose never emotions. You're intelligent beyond anything I could imagine. It's been a while since your mother has passed but know she was the real warrior of this family. It's time you know the truth behind my success. It wasn't Odin, my amazing combat skills. It was in fact a strong, fearless women who never left my side even with her last breath I can feel her presence to this day. So, no matter how strong, smart and fearless you consider yourself. Without a woman keeping you focused you are weak. This is said out of respect to you my son because Odin has shown me your future and it's bright. You have someone waiting for you when the time has come but first you must speak with the greatest Goddess of them all. Her name is Frigg, and she is the wife of Odin. He was great because she allowed it and showed him what it took and soon, she will speak with you.
Ragnarök was trying to process everything he was reading. It was a lot, but things were starting to make sense. The only thing he was wondering was who is the lady. He had no interest in love at the moment but if it was spoken by Odin then it will happen. He wanted to stop but there was one more letter. Placing the letter in his hand there was a simple message.
If you wish to speak to Frigg. You must be ready to hear the unspoken truth about your future and take a blood oath to never speak of it again. Ragnarök looked on the backside of the letter and saw the words búa drepa ek munu ráða. He had no idea what would happen if he spoke those native words.
búa drepa ek munu ráða
(To live, To Kill, I will rule)
He spoke the words written as a great fog appeared in front of him. When it cleared there stood Frigg. A beautiful young woman no doubt the only Goddess in the world. He stood out of respect, but she was different from her husband. She was proper and had a calming demeanor that surrounded her. Odin was blunt and to the point whereas, she was there to teach the importance of patience. She looked the warrior in the eyes and spoke.
Frigg: You are still a growing warrior. You still have pain to suffer before you finish the journey, I reveal the one who is met for you. I do this because you're not ready for her. The hate in your heart must be removed in order to understand the true love that awaits you. Do not misunderstand my words as disrespect for I do not have the capacity to do that. I want everyone in our bloodline to be successful. Instead, I know you have battles ahead that will determine the ultimate path you wish to go. Everything up until now has been the plan. Odin challenges everyone to open their eyes to potential and you did that. It is time for the trail of Frigg. If you succeed you will be rewarded. This reward is greater than gold, silver and diamonds. It is greater than all the love put together and placed in your heart. I will leave you now as you think about what it could be. You have yet to reach the prime of your life and still your name is heard throughout the land. Some of the greatest warriors never had that experience. So be proud and go forth showing the dominance instilled inside you. You live to kill; you live to live, and you live to rule. Before I go you must show a commitment to me as you did with Odin.
Ragnarök: What do you need from me?
Frigg: Blood.
Ragnarök: Yes, ma'am
She commanded him to cut his hand. When he did, she took the blood placing it upon her face and screamed. She turned to smoke but just as she was about to vanish, she entered his heart. Ragnarök grasped his heart and passed out. When he woke up, Ragnarök was fine. He was at Madison Square Garden. Unsure how he got there he felt different. Stronger than before. Wiser than anyone in the arena. There wasn't much time to figure out what was going on as someone knocked on his door. When he opened it someone from the New York Post stood before him.
Reporter: Ragnarök, I was told I could speak with you by Chris Page. It looks like you've had a rough day. Are you having second thoughts about Summer Madness?
Ragnarök: Why the hell would I be having second thoughts? What about The Kraken should frighten me? I've been to hell and back. I've been to the darkest parts of the world. Hell, I've been to the abyss and survived all of it. I'm a fearless warrior he only cares about himself. I stopped caring about others a long time ago.
His chest pounded for a second as he holds his heart. Frigg slowly working on his personality and way of thinking. Suddenly it stops and he continued.
I don't need to open my mouth and give you guys some information on The Kraken. Instead, I am going to show you and this entire drug-infested city what I'm about. I look exhausted because I'm tired of the games. I just want my match to come so I can break the rookie in half. Humble him inside the ring and prove to him where Madison Square Gardens is for legendary talent something his punk-ass will never understand. He is mediocre at best. The Kraken will be kept in the abyss for all eternity when the great warrior known as Ragnarök gets done with him.
Reporter: Ragnarök, you always seem anger like the world owes you a favor. Aren't you worried that competing at a high level like this will eventually catch up to you?
He was about to speak hatred toward the young man as his chest pounded again. It was annoying as Frigg tried to control the situation. He was fighting it though.
Ragnarök: Staying pissed off has made me successful. Something you will never understand. Being told what to do and when to do it is so sad. in this business we might have a boss, but we do what we want because without us the great reputation of Chris Page will take a hit. He needs us more then we need him I can assure you of that. I stay anger because positive thoughts and actions only get you hurt. I'd rather bring the hurt then deal with that bullshit again. I'm sure the next question that will come out of your broke ass mouth is what my favorite kind of pain is. I'm glad you asked. The Kraken seems like a confident boy lost in a man's world. He doesn't realize his place is beneath my boot. Squeezing his head against the mat as his kicks and screams like a child. His confidence will be crushed under my feet. The fearless creature known as The Kraken will wither into the corner and disappear. I'm not here to make you feel good about yourself and he knows that. My job is to enforce the rules and my will on him however I want. So, I'm not worried about my competitiveness catching up to me because I'm a former Television champion. Former Tag- Team champion and those moments don't leave me. It is what lights my fire every damn day. My legacy doesn't stop because I lost. It keeps going because soon enough I'll be competing in the main event for the World championship. That's what makes The Kraken mad. I'm better then him and he knows it. Now ask your final question before i kick you out myself.
The reporter tried to compose himself and manages to ask one last question.
Reporter: Win or lose tonight do you feel you will make an impact on Summer Madness that will be felt for years to come?
Ragnarök: You are asking some middle school questions son. I mean where the hell did you get an education at? Cracker Jack University? Anyway, Summer Madness is a two-day event for a reason. There is so much going on that we wanted to bless the world with our talent. However, I look at it as an opportunity to make my presence known multiple times throughout the weekend. The only person that knows my plans are me. It will stay that way until I wish them to be revealed. So, as I mentioned before this event is far bigger than winning or losing for me. It is about letting WGWF know that I'm a threat with or without a partner. I will not tolerate disrespect thrown in my direction and The Kraken is going to be the example I set for everyone us. Now get the hell out of my face.
He shoved the reporter out and shut the door. He saw an image of The Kraken on the television pre-show and broke the television. His stress was high but as a professional he would focus when it mattered the most. The scene fades as Summer Madness begins in front of a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden.
