We open up to a view of a bedroom and from the looks of it, it feels like we got transported back to the 80s era again. There are NSYNC and Britney Spears posters covering the entire walls. Along with that, the sound of "I think we're alone again by Tiffany is heard blasting in the background. Suddenly, the sound of a door creaking open is heard. The camera pans over to see Pax Egan and KC Cooper giggling like school girls as they walk in and take a seat on the bed. Both are wearing side ponytails, matching MTV t-shirts, and leggings.
KC: Paxy, I was thinking that we could break out the cassette players and record some stuff like the good ol' times.
Pax: Oh, that's a great idea.
Pax's eyes light up in delight as she nods her head, then looks under the bed and pulls out two old cassette players along with a bunch of cassettes. Throughout their careers, they used this as a way to document what was happening inside the ring. Sure, it was different, but they enjoyed it. Anyway, she dusts everything off before placing them on the bed. She then pops a blank cassette in and pushes the record button.
KC: So, Pax, how does it feel to know that we will have our very first match in the upcoming WGWF Brawl?
Pax: Mate, I am so nervous, but also excited too. Glad I listened to you when you said to make the jump, as this was a great opportunity for us. Are you just as nervous as me?
KC sure did seem nervous, as she was pacing back and forth the entire time Pax was talking. Finally, she stopped and placed her hands on her hips and sighed.
KC: Super nervous. What if we somehow mess up? The whole world will see it and talk about it for a long time. Once it's out on the internet, it is hard to ignore. Remember that one time you botched a move and a fan noticed it and uploaded the video. You beat yourself over it for months.
Pax hits the stop button on the cassette and gets up to confront KC, which then leads to a hug between them.
Pax: Yeah, I know, but every time I realized it's all a learning process. We are still new to this business, Pax. I am sure we will have more moments like that where we screw up, but this time if it does happen, I am not going to be mad at myself. Instead, I will pick myself up and continue to do better each time. Pinky promise you will always be by my side. Through the bad and good.
KC: Pinky promise.
**A FEW HOURS LATER**
We open up the screen, and we get a view inside a roller skating rink. The rink was adorned with colorful lights and signs everywhere. Set in a vibrant, retro-inspired environment, this roller skating rink is the hub of excitement, music, and adrenaline. Amidst everything, KC and Pax sat on the side and were seen lacing up their roller skates.
Pax: I don't know if you remember, but this is the first place we've met.
KC: Weren't we so young when it happened?
Pax nods her head, stopping what she was doing to reflect back to that time.
Pax: We were like nine. Our moms brought us here. I remember I saw you carrying around these cool accessories. I was so curious where you got them from, so that's when I went up to you and asked you, and you explained they came all the way from Japan. I remember you said your family took you to Japan on vacation. I was so envious of you.
The two got up and walked toward the rink, where they glided on the ice while continuing on with their conversation.
KC: I envied you! You had the prettiest long hair and your clothes were super cute. Looks like that hasn't changed since then.
Pax smiles and cups her own cheeks cutely.
Pax: Aw, thank you, mate, that is nice of you to say. The important thing to know is we connected with not only our love for fashion, but other things as well, such as wrestling. I don't think people understand just how close we are in and out of the ring. We could practically be sisters.
KC spins in circles and holds onto Pax to prevent her from falling. They both share a laugh.
KC: That was close, but you are right. We have a bond like no other team out there. It's certainly unmatched. Now it's only a matter of time before the WGWF universe sees it.
Pax: YEAAAAAH let's show 'em!!!
They share a high five before doing a spin around the ice and continue to skate away from the camera as they enjoy some fun time before their big debut match.
Pax: When you first join a new wrestling company, it's a lot like going to a new school. It's a completely different environment than what you're used to. You don't know where anything is, and you certainly don't know who will be your friends, or foe. It's all just a guessing game. This is the feeling we have received upon walking through the doors of the company for the first time. Although the small praise we have received by the tag champs is appreciated, we don't know what the rest of the roster is thinking when it pertains to us.
KC: We hope to earn the respect of the rest of the locker room as time goes on. Perhaps our debut match is a good starting point for that. I don't know a lot about Brooke Blakely and Emily Sims, but from what I've seen of them they are very hardworking, determined ladies. Take Brooke for example. She just came off a big ladder match at War Games. Although she didn't come out of there with her hand raised in victory, she had a five-star performance and proved she is of champion caliber.
Pax: She will have her big moment in the spotlight one day, as will her partner Emily Simms, but you can't do that if you are hiding in the shadows a lot of the time. May I ask what the reason for that is? Is it fear? Intimidation? Lack of motivation? Whatever the reason maybe I hope you find whatever it is that you're lacking and show your true potential. It would be a shame for it to go to waste. Who knows, maybe our words will help motivate you and push you to want to succeed.
KC: We don't mind praising and showing respect when we feel it's needed, at the same time I know it doesn't take away from what we are capable of doing ourselves. I understand we are the new girls who will be thrown to the field of a well acquainted pack of wolves of roster members. The thing with us is we've been thriving under pressure and being put in tough situations throughout our entire career. Come Brawl we will add another one to the list, overcome what is expected of.
Pax: The world has only seen a small dose of Cassette Collective. While we enjoy having fun and bringing a different kind of energy when that bell rings, we are all business. Our combined power and strength will prove to be too much for our opponents. The reason for your defeat will be due to lack of experience. You see, ladies, you are walking into this match blindly in hope the trust is there whereas we, we built that trust over the years. Not only that, but we know each other like the palm of our hands, so there is no issue there, and instead will work to our advantage.
KC: We are about to take the company by storm. This storm will clear a path of success and opportunities for us. Our introduction on this Brawl will certainly be impactful.
KC: Paxy, I was thinking that we could break out the cassette players and record some stuff like the good ol' times.
