Name - Sahara 'The White Widow' Duke
Height - 5'10"
Weight - 155lbs
Entrance Theme - In This Moment - Adrenalize
Ring Entrance -
An eerie voice pipes through the arena PA–
As the lights dim, fog slowly rolls over the stage as if emanating from a dark beyond. The random sounds of a radio tuning through various stations floats over the arena as bright white lights suddenly shine up from beneath the stage, bathing the entryway in an angelic glow. Slowly, white webbing begins to appear on the darkened tron as of a spider spinning it's web...
As the hard-hitting beat of In This Moment’s ‘Adrenalize Me’ begins pumping through the arena, The White Widow, Sahara Duke emerges through the ghostly fog...
As Sahara moves toward the center of the rampway, her rows of platinum braids shine from within the shadows. Clad in black and white attire, one of her boots is emblazoned with the word White, and the other Widow. Her jaw is clenched tight, and her face etched with a permanent scowl of condescension. She slowly turns her gaze toward the fans before locking eyes on the squared circle as webs continue to engulf the tron, spelling out the name... SAHARA
As the music continues to tell her tangled tale, she charges toward the ring and jump slides through the bottom rope...
(If Sahara is introduced first and waiting for her opponent, she will enter the ring and sit on the top turnbuckle with a leg wrapped around the top rope. If she is introduced second, she will slide into the ring locking eyes with her opponent(s) and not break eye contact under any circumstance until the bell sounds.)
Hometown - Chicago, IL.
Why is your character a wrestler - Initially it was to make money as Sahara was a known d-list wannabe actress and failed wrestler that was rediscovered by FIGHTNY as a waitress at a Chicago Applebee's. But that was before marrying her current husband,Bruce Wayne, err, Thaddeus Duke. As a Duke, she rediscovered her love of wrestling, but sees it changing in ways she does not approve of, and aims to bring back a bit of what made her a wrestling fan to begin with... unrelenting drama and violence.
Wrestling Style/Resemblence - While some might call her a "high-flyer", her style is better viewed as "high impact". She uses this as a way to level the playing field against larger opponents, though she will avoid doing high flying moves when possible. Her wrestling mindset is first and foremost that of a showman (showwoman?) -- if the fans don't have time to process what's happening in the ring, then it didn't happen/doesn't matter. She will play to the fans to draw them into the show, whether they love her or hate her.
Sahara should be shown botching higher risk moves from time to time (or successfully hitting them), after all, that's why they're called high risk/high reward. Her move set was designed specifically to counter the potential size difference between her and her opponents, literally transforming her body into a 155+ pound projectile weapon when necessary. Due to the inherent risk with some of these moves, she will sometimes take extreme chances that can result in either catastrophic failure (or success)...
Trademark Maneuver(s) - Sahara utilizes a limited move set, as she regards a well-practiced/well-executed move to be better than an endless list of poorly executed moves just for the sake of adding more moves to ones repertoire.
1. Moonsault/Top Rope Moonsault/Springboard Moonsault
2. Suicide Dive (Over the top or through the middle ropes.)
3. Various dropkicks, kicks, roundhouses/front kick/sweet chin music, etc. (She favors kicks over punches and will try to avoid getting tied up in close combat, especially against larger opponents.)
4. She will often flip her hair back before lining up an opponent for a move, giving the crowd time to see it coming. She considers this one of her moves.
5. Exploder Suplex (Only to be used on opponents she thinks she can actually lift.)
6. Frog Splash
7. Shining Wizard
8. Float Over DDT
9. Pedigree
Set up to Finisher - Widowmaker (From the outside/ring apron, springboard Superman Punch)
Finisher - Venom Drop (Coup de Grâce/Double Stomp off the Top Rope/Cage/Ladder/Scaffolding)
Alignment - Heel
