Backstory/Important Character Details:
John found his mother dead in their living room one night when he was very young. He then watched a man kill his father in their kitchen before John gutted him with a knife. John then spent several years bouncing around foster care before he met Hank Winthrop, a fighting trainer with a success rate above most. After a long time, Hank decided to train John to fight.
After the loss of his first fiance to a guy he was supposed to fight in an underground cage fighting ring, John lost his Poop, and killed several people before he left the warehouse that night. After several hearings, John was exonerated of charges due to temporary insanity, and the murder charges were dropped, but his professional fighting career after the cage fighting and the murders was all but non-existent.
That was when John decided to try out professional wrestling. After years of winning titles in random companies, he finally found a home in the EWCL, where he first formed "the Legion", and then "the New Breed". During his time there, he won several Titles and was named as the EWCL Tag Team of the Year after their impressive one-year title reign as the New Breed with Aaron Gold. During that time frame, John's most historic match took place: an Iron Circle Match for the EWCL Hardcore Title against Strait Hate, which John won to gain his second Hardcore Title reign in the EWCL.
While in the EWCL, he married his tag partner's sister, Jessica, and began a multi-billion dollar worldwide charity foundation, the New Breed Foundation. In his spare time, he helped run Hank's gym and had taken over the training duties of the gym himself as Hank got older.
In 2003, John became involved with the Royal Family in the EWCL, and Sean Corvik kidnapped his wife, as the Family tortured and raped her. John got his revenge, but not before the Royal Family had burned down his gym and helped in the scarification of his face begun by Straight Hate just one week prior to their Iron Circle Match. Luckily, Hank was not there, and none of the students or members of the New Breed were there when the Family burned it to the ground.
After Jessica's abduction and the loss of the gym, John spent a log time in mental recovery out of the public spotlight. Eventually, Jessica and Johnathan would return to the ring in the XWF.
Jessica suffered a severe trauma after her debut match in the XWF and was hospitalized, where she would try to escape her confines, and during a fight with her orderlies one night trying to get free, she fell and hit her head on a radiator pipe, and supposedly died.
During this time, another wrestler, Karl Cross, in a bid to draw Cable's attention, burned down the rebuilt gym. This time, though, Hank was sleeping inside, and Karl Cross killed him.
After the loss of his wife and foster father within a week of each other, John lost it again and disappeared for several months before showing back up in the WGWF.
After a successful run in the WGWF, John Cable was sidelined after a near-fatal car accident and had not been heard from in nearly 3 years, until his return to the ring in the PCW.
During his time with the PCW with Sebastian St. Paul as his Tag Team Partner, the New Breed was named Tag Team of the Year, and built a cornerstone angle with the Fabulous Freebooters that saw the popularity of all involved grow immensely. After two years in the PCW, the fed closed the Tag Team Division, and the New Breed went back to the WGWF.
During his second stint with the WGWF, John found out his previously deceased wife was in fact not so, and then she was again, but seriously this time, as he attempted to save her from a subway train, but was unsuccessful.
In his most recent stint in the WGWF, John had successful runs with several titles, including the Tag Team Titles, the Intercontinental Title, and a strong run on the World Heavyweight Title, which he won, but was taken from him merely minutes after the match.
Since the WGWF Relaunch in 2023, John has been a staple name on the roster, and had been drafted to the SMASH Brand. He has been on several runs at WGWF Gold, but has not earned a Title yet since Relaunch, and is looking for the opportunity to earn one again. Now that the rosters have been merged once again in to the WGWF Unified SMASH Brand, maybe he can.
Strengths:
#1 Size- his massive build and solid leverage give him a major advantage over smaller wrestlers.
#2 Conditioning: John trains hours on end every day. Growing up in the gym gave him a love for the machines and the work.
#3: In ring knowledge. John has spent the better part of more than 40 years inside the ring with some of the best fighters in the world. His knowledge base is astounding.
Weaknesses:
#1: His multitude of injuries. and the scars are still to this day painfully reminding him of his history.
#2: His mental state is often not totally balanced. John functions very much like Bruce Banner/The Hulk in his daily life... and often times, he ends up paying for a lot of damages to private property.
#3: Will often overestimate himself. It isn't that he underestimates his opponent, he just overestimates how far he can actually go before his body starts to shut down on him.
Entrance Theme Music (Provide YouTube link as well as name and version):
Ring Entrance (PLEASE write one out for use in match/show writing):
"The lights dim around the arena and a hush descends on the crowd. The opening taps of drums and the beginning riffs of the violins and bass of TRUST by Megadeath can be heard filtering through the speakers. Green pin spots swirl wildly around the arena flashing across the fans. Smoke fills the metal ramp as the drum beat and the guitar pick up a bit. A figure can be seen making its way out of the curtain atop the ramp, and green spotlights tear into the darkness, crisscrossing wildly in front of the curtain where we see a large silhouette of a man lit from behind the curtains.
The lyrics begin to chant the chorus and the chugging bass beat the crashing cymbals and the kicking riffs of the guitar. The spotlights are waving across the stage wildly, and out of the darkness of the curtain, into the green spotlights waving everywhere, just as the music kicks in hard, Johnathan Cable springs forward onto the ramp screaming at the night. Cable makes his way down the ramp towards the ring staring intently at the squared circle and brushing past the outreached hands of fans nearby. The lights fade in as the music goes on, and Johnathan slides in under the ropes to get ready for his match."

He will rarely cheat, and honestly lives by an honorable warriors code, but recent events have shifted his mindset towards a more... exuberant demonstration of violent intent... and has been sort of out of character as of late. He has been more brash, more volatile, and more unreasonable since feeling snubbed by management in the most recent Brand Draft, and has displayed a far more relaxed ideal of his former apprehension to violence for violence sake.
