‘Charlie Big Potato’ by Skunk Anansie plays and the crowd’s heat rises through the roof and everybody is on their feet as M.D.K. appears at the top of the ramp clad in a suit complete with long-coat draped over his shoulders. As the beat kicks in, he throws the coat off to display the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder. He closes his eyes and looks up to the skies as he bathes in the crowd reaction and his music.
Diamond: “Well, this is one way to kick off the show!”
Baxter: “Is there a better way?”
M.D.K. slowly makes his way down to the ring and points at various members of the crowd and laughs at them before climbing up the steps, and stopping on the ring apron to pose for the baying crowd before stepping through the ropes and taking a microphone from Donald Masters before stopping, pulling him back and thrusting the microphone into his chest and gesturing to him. Donald raises his arms and M.D.K. points at him angrily…
Diamond: “What is he doing?”
Masters: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the new reigning… defending… undisputed WGWF Heavyweight Champion on the world… M… D… K!”
The crowd boos as Masters hands M.D.K. back the microphone who snatches it with a smirk before turning to the crowd and slowly turning on the spot.
M.D.K.: “Peons… peasants… pissants… YOU’RE WELCOME!”
The heat is off the charts as M.D.K. bathes in the heat once again.
M.D.K.: “It is I, the once and future king of the WGWF, the Hall of Fame residing, weakling chiding, time biding ONE Violent Man, TWO Time World Champion, THREE Simple Letters with FOUR words to say…”
He pauses for effect before continuing…
M.D.K.: “I. TOLD. YOU. SO!”
The heat spikes once again and the crowd boo incessantly.
Baxter: “He did…”
M.D.K.: “All of you doubted me, all of you said I was too old, I was out of shape, out of touch and out of time to take another bite of the cherry. I was told I didn’t have form heading into the match. And yet here I stand; a smirk on my face, your hatred in my heart and the World Heavyweight Championship on my shoulder.”
More heat…
M.D.K.: “And now you can witness your present and future… A man who will battle all-comers, a man who will now be the ever-present fixture as your champion and this is your future for as long as I want…”
“Tristan Slater, let me be… frank for a moment… For seventeen months you have been the undisputed king of Turd Mountain. You have overcome the odds, you have taken on every challenge with a smile on your face and a spring in your step and you have beaten them all…”
There is polite applause from the crowd until a smile creeps across the champion’s face as he adjusts the title on his shoulder and continues.
M.D.K.: “… then along came a juggernaut… A creature for the ages, a god amongst men and The Crimson King of the WGWF! And he ran you down like the roadkill that you truly are. For me, you are old news and tonight, we see who is going to take the first swipe at the crown.”
“I look to the main event tonight and I smile… I smile as I think of what could potentially be coming my way… the idea of swatting aside Andre Dixon…”
Crowd pop…
M.D.K.: “The idea of battering Andy Johnson…”
Bigger pop…
M.D.K.: “That glorified fucking potato…”
Even bigger pop as the crowd work out who he is referring to.
M.D.K.: “Or Chronic… Chris… Page…”
The pop is off the charts at this point. M.D.K. shakes his head…
M.D.K.: “Whoever it is, it matters not because they will be swept aside like the old news that each and every one of them are… Maybe… just maybe, it might be none of them! Maybe, I want to be the master of my own fate, maybe there are others sniffing around like a pig for truffles…”
The crowd start chanting for James Raven and M.D.K. runs his hand across his face and smiles.
M.D.K.: “Yeah… that’s the pig in question… One suckling piglet hungry to have a moment in my shadow like so many of you… So many of you clamouring like feeder fish to have a grain of my glory rub off on you… But out of everybody in this realm, there is one person fit to stand by my side, one person who dared to dream and has chosen to be by my side. The Crimson King needs his Red Queen… and she gave me that special little extra to be standing here now… My Queen… Alyce Starchylde!”
K. Flay's 'Blood in the Cut' begins to play as Alyce steps out onto the entrance ramp. She blows a kiss to the crowd as they boo. She is surrounded by an entourage, among them a guy in a Dr. Seuss style hat and a guy in a cat suit. They seem to surge from the crowd all around her and bow. She skips down the entrance ramp as her entourage follows at a respectful distance. The entourage take a knee surrounding the ring as they watch Alyce. She climbs into the ring and makes a curtsy to MDK who bows in response. He kisses her, which she responds to forcefully. They pull apart, all smiles as the crowd continues to boo.
ALYCE: "Your jealousy tastes sweeter than wine"
The crowd is almost nuclear in it's anger.
ALYCE: "But it's okay. I understand. You are all subjects to the Mad King and his Mad Queen...and let me tell you, even as we speak, there are others on their way to serve the royal court. And for those who think that my accomplishments pale in comparison to those of my Mad King...well, I HAVE beaten two Hall of Famers...one a crotch named Camden that I buried like campground garbage...and I have a win over the reigning, defending, Heavyweight Champion of the World my Mad King himself! So MY WORD IS GOOD FOR ANYTHING I FUCKING WANT!
MDK applauds as the crowd boos.
ALYCE: So if the butthurt Tristan Slater is so keen to face me...and get made a mockery of...he can step to me whenever he wants! Until then...this is OUR world and MDK and I are NOT BENEVOLENT RULERS! You pigs WILL bow!
Alyce smiles and offers another curtsy to MDK.
Huge heat from the crowd as M.D.K. smiles and continues.
M.D.K.: “She will be by my side, riding into victory and she will bask in my glory while each and every one of you will be rendered truly… and utterly… INFERIOR!”
His music plays, he takes a bow at the hostile crowd, taps his shoulder where the title rests before pointing at himself as we cut to a commercial.
MATCH 1:
KYLE SHANE
versus
THE SENTINEL
Freak of Nature ’92 plays and out steps Sentinel to a decent pop. He slaps hands with the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.
Masters: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Jakarta Indonesia and weighing in at 315lbs… Sentinel!”
Diamond: “Here comes Sentinel a true stalwart of the WGWF.”
Baxter: “I checked our records and he has a loss column reading like a telephone number…”
Diamond: “He does not!”
Baxter: “He might do… 911 is a phone number… And a tragic moment in history…”
Sentinel is prepping himself in the ring as ‘In the Morning and Amazing’ by Circa Survive plays… The big screen shows shots of Kyle’s matches. Kyle Shane steps slowly out onto the stage. The Assassins hood to his long-coat is pulled low over his face. The distinctive voice of Anthony Green hits the bridge: "And how could anyone, you are in my dreams. Half human, half machine. You with someone else that I have felt and seen. I cannot rest, or my consciousness contest. Looking right through the lens. From winter brings the spring again..." Kyle tilts his head back and holds his arms out, taking in the reception of the crowd. The crowd gets on its feet for the returning God of Game.
Baxter: “He may have lost the title, but he certainly hasn’t lost the energy and Kyle Shane looks focussed.”
Diamond: “He has a history of turning it around after a loss to move onto bigger and better things and I expect that tonight is the beginning of that.”
There are pockets of people that are irritated and give their negative reaction to the flippy, smarky, self-absorbed Game Changer, but a vast majority of the people know his history and his accomplishments, if not his in-ring prowess. Some even give him a fanning bow as Kyle swaggers down the aisle. Halfway down the aisle, Kyle pivots, holding his arms up to either side of him. He climbs onto the apron. Kyle balances on the ropes for a moment, points to himself and smirks, holding his arms out, and then he hops down, takes off his long-coat and stretches a few times to get ready.
The bell rings and the pair lock up and Sentinel uses his size to charge Shane into the corner. He goes to follow up with a short running clothesline but Shane drops to one knee and drags Sentinel face-first into the turnbuckle. He rolls through to be behind Sentinel and hits a flurry of kicks to the back of Sentinel’s legs before hitting a standing dropkick to the small of Sentinel’s back which Shane backward rolls through and as Sentinel turns around, Shane hits a picturesque standing inzughiri that drops Sentinel to his knees. Shane walks to the centre of the ring and measures the big Indonesian up and charges but Sentinel drops down and hits a big back body drop!
Diamond: “High impact start from Kyle Shane before Sentinel tries to slow him down with a counter!”
Baxter: “Not so fast!”
Shane manages to flip through and lands on the top turnbuckle with a bit of a wobble. Sentinel staggers to the middle of the ring and turns to find Shane leaping from the top turnbuckle with a flying crossbody that sends Sentinel crashing to the mat. Shane hooks the leg!
1!
2!
But Sentinel manages to kick out.
Diamond: “Sentinel has drawn the short straw tonight to face a raging and intense Kyle Shane.”
Shane sits up and shakes his head before leaning down to pick up the big man from Jakarta. He connects with a couple of uppercuts before backing Sentinel into the ropes and whipping him into the ropes and as he returns, is driven to the mat with a drop toe hold! He follows up with an elbow to the back of Sentinel’s head before locking up the head and pulling the bigger man back to his feet. Sentinel pushes The God of Game into the ropes but as Shane returns, he connects with a Goddess White Sword neck-breaker! He mounts Sentinel as he crashes to the mat and whales in with MMA style knees to his downed adversary!
Baxter: “I almost feel sorry for the big man from Jakarta tonight! He has been drawn against him at the worst possible time.”
Kyle gets to his feet and drags Sentinel up, delivers a couple of knees to the ribs of Sentinel before delivering a couple of elbows to the back of Sentinel’s head before locking up his head and drives him to the mat with Pieces of Eden! He hooks the leg!
1!
2!
3!
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Masters: “Here is your winner… Kyle… Shane!”
Kyle gets to his feet and the referee raises his arm in victory but Shane snatches it away as he glares at the camera intently as his music plays.
Diamond: “Kyle Shane displaying the intensity that shows everybody why it won’t be long before he tastes gold once again.”
Baxter: “The gold is in some pretty elite places now but I think he will have his eyes on the man who took the title from him!”
BUT... YOU LOST.
The crowd boo's intently as Nick Ryan is shown walking the backstage hallway until he comes to the office of Flash Rotten. Nick doesn't knock, he simply walks right into the office to see Flash Rotten ending a call on his cell phone.
FLASH ROTTEN- "Don't people knock anymore?"
Flash states as he addresses Nick.
FLASH ROTTEN- "What do I owe this little visit?"
NICK RYAN- "Don't get cute with me, Flash! You know damn well why I'm here. Why am I not getting a shot at the Television Championship? I was told that I had earned my opportunity and yet tonight it's gone to Christian and Erik Josten?"
Flash interjects.
FLASH ROTTEN- "Are you serious right now? Bro you lost your chance at Summer Madness, remember? Uh... You lost to Andy Johnson in the middle of the ring thus he has the first crack at the Television Title once we crown our new Champion tonight."
NICK RYAN- "I didn't lose to Andy Johnson."
FLASH ROTTEN- "Yeah, you kind of did."
NICK RYAN- "No I didn't."
FLASH ROTTEN- "Yeah you did."
Nick starts to get angry as he responds.
NICK RYAN- "NO! I DID NOT!"
Nick infatically states as he slams his fist down on Flash Rotten's desk.
NICK RYAN- "I wasn't even AT Summer Madness! How can I lose if I wasn't even there, huh? Explain that to me."
FLASH ROTTEN- "Nick there's nothing to explain because you where there and you did compete and you did in fact lose."
NICK RYAN- "I see what's going on here... You're out to screw me! You're keeping me away from anything that resembles a Championship. It's not going to work! If you don't want to give me an opportunity than I'll just take it upon myself to GET one!"
Nick turns and exits the office leaving Flash as he states.
FLASH ROTTEN- "Is he mental?"
We return to ringside
The roof EXPLODES with a thunderous ovation from the sold out crowd as a single spotlight hits the top of the ramp and down upon the former WGWF World Heavyweight Champion "Glorious" Tristan Slater. Tristan stands in a grey hoodie that's half way zipped up over a white V-Neck t-shirt. He's going on a pair of black jeans with grey and white ADIDAS hightops.
Diamond: For seventeen months that man right there went undefeated in the WGWF; the longest undefeated streak in the history of the WGWF, and it came to an end just two short weeks ago at Summer Madness in what can only be described as a FIGHT against MDK.
Tristan starts to make the walk towards the ring.
Baxter: He has nothing to be ashamed about as that war at Summer Madness could have went either way at any point down that closing stretch.
Tristan Slater reaches ringside where he looks up to the left at the upper deck before shifting his head to the right and looking up at the sea of fans that have jam packed the building tonight on Monday Night Brawl. Tristan nods his head as he climbs up on the ring apron where he once again looks across the sold out crowd.
Diamond: Nothing but respect coming from this packed house towards The Glorious One tonight as he's about to step through those ropes.
Tristan enters the ring as the fans continue to roar louder than the music as we see Tristan walks across the ring where he reaches through the ropes calling for the microphone. Donald Masters walks over and hands Tristan the mic. The music starts to fade away leaving the standing ovation for Tristan as he takes center ring. The massive ovation transitions into a "THANK YOU GLOR-IOUS! THANK YOU GLOR-IOUS! THANK YOU GLOR-IOUS! THANK YOU GLOR-IOUS!" chant. The chant seemingly gets louder and louder as Tristan starts to turn a slow circle in the ring as he takes in the show of respect from the WGWF audience.
Diamond: I've got goose bumps!
Baxter: You're not the only one.
Tristan complets his cirlce as the chant CONTINUES! Tristan starts to laugh to his self before nodding his head in approval as he raises the microphone to his lips while addressing the crowd.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "You're welcome."
The chant breaks out into solid ovation as Slater turns towards the camera.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "I guess this is the part where I'm suppose to whine or cry about losing the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship two weeks ago at Summer Madness."
The crowd breaks out into loud boo's upon the close of Slater's statement before getting quiet quick as the Glorious one continues.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "I guess this is the part where I make excuses for not leaving Madison Square Garden as the World Heavyweight Champion..."
Loud boo's reign out from the crowd as Tristan continues.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Or is this the part where I down play MDK's victory while boldly and strongly exercising MY rematch?"
There's a massive ovation from the crowd!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "... Well that's not going to happen tonight."
The crowd quiets down quickly as Tristan continues.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "For over seventeen months I've ran rough shot over such names as Chris Page, names like Famine of the Vile, names like Terry Borden, like Vega$, like Andy Johnson, like Paul Frost, like the Extinction, like John Cable... For seventeen months in singles action they stepped to the plate and put them down; and while I enjoyed doing it, while I enjoyed PROVING that I am the best of the best regardless of a "roster size" and regardless of a "talent level"!"
There's applause heard from the crowd as Tristan takes a moment to gather his thoughts before he continues.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "And at Summer Madness I was looking to continue my historic run... But I didn't. The unstoppable Tristan Slater was stopped by a better man on that particular night, Danny Tenegra."
The crowd boo's relentlessly at the mention of MDK. Tristan stands back allowing them to get it out of their system before he states.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "I always knew the day would come when I was put down and make no mistake about it Danny put me down fair and square, no excuses for defeat... I... Was... Beaten."
Tristan seriously states as his expression also clearly indicates.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "But don't you worry Danny, don't you fret because while you might be in the clear through Caged In doesn't mean that you or whoever leaves with the World Title will be free and clear come the West Coast Rumble..."
There's a massive ovation from the crowd!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Or dare I say Wrestle Wars Twelve."
The ovation gets louder!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Hell, might even be the Brawl AFTER Caged In..."
The ovation gets even louder!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "... The facts are I have my rematch in my back pocket until I am ready to cash it in because that was the agreement made when BOTH of us were asked to take a step away from each other for a bit. This, this little agreement changes the game and puts the ball in my court! It allow me to dictate when and where, and that my friend is dangerous."
Tristan casually states.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "And while I ponder on the specifics of my return match I'm going to enjoy kicking back, relaxing and watching to see if Danny Tenegra can break his curse; you know the one, right? The one where he wins a WGWF World Title but can't defend it."
Diamond: Ouch!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "The ultimate question upon questions will be answered come Caged In... Is Danny the true definition of a transitional champion?"
Baxter: Ouch!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Ladies and Gentleman I'm standing in a pretty good place because not only do I have my rematch for the World Title in my back right pocket... I have my rematch for the Intercontinental Championship, the Championship I MADE RELEVANT, the Championship that I made mean more than the World Title when it was around my waist before I was forced to relinquish it in my back left pocket."
The fans go ballistic!
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "I've always said that it's good to have options; which is why I think that I'm going to roll with option C."
Once again the fans quiet down waiting to hear what the Glorious one has to say.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Oh... Surely you haven't thought that I've forgotten you, Alyce."
Tristan looks directly into the camera as he states.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Are you ready?"
Tristan asks.
"GLORIOUS" TRISTAN SLATER- "Because I'm coming through the looking glass."
"Glorious" Tristan Slater drops the mic to a thunderous ovation as "My Name Is Human" hits the speakers and the scene fades.
MATCH 2:
WGWF TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
VACANT
ERIK JOSTEN
versus
CHRISTIAN CONNOLLY
Masters: The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL! And it is for the WGWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP!!
The entire arena is plunged into darkness, leaving intense beams of white and blue to slash randomly across ringside. Pulses of synth then lay a trail for pounding drums, while licks of base trigger lights to flash in series around the arena. Joining in with the "WHOOO!" chants that escape from the beats, the fans rise in expectation of the entrance.
"KEEP IT 100!"
Grandtheft & Keys N Krates' "Keep It 100 is then unleashed in full throughout the arena, speakers distorting with bass.
A spotlight breaks from the swirling pattern around the arena to focus on the scaffolding above the entrance, where glimpses of a sleek figure slipping between the poles can be caught. Finally emerging from the steel jungle, the Suntan Superman leaps over the WGWF logo and down onto the stage. His WGWf World Tag Team title glistening as the light bounces off of it.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Gliding down the aisle, the Suntan Superman reaches out either side of him to slap the out-reaching palms of the WGWF fans, before leaping up onto the apron.
Masters: Introducing first… from Norfolk, Virginia… weighing in at 234 pounds… he is ONE HALF OF THE DVC.. THE SUNTAN SUPERMAN… CHRISTIAN CONNOLLY!!!
Gloved hands grab the top rope, slingshotting Connolly into the cable, where he balances for just long enough to removed his Aviator sunglasses, clipping them onto the collar of his shirt before hopping down into the ring.
"Young and Bitter" by Hot Tag Media then hits, and Erik Josten walks out from the back. The cheers emanating from the crowd nearly drown out the music as they show their support for one of the best tag team wrestlers in wrestling history.
Masters: And his opponent… from Seattle, Washington… weighing in at 325 pounds… he is one half of the DVC… HE. IS. ERIK JOSTEN!!!
He looks at them, staring intently at a select few, nodding in approval. Sliding into the ring, Josten stares out into the crowd, oblivious to the fact that his tag team partner is standing just a few feet across the ring from him, fists clenched, ready to roll.
Diamond: This is a match-up many of hoped we'd see but didn't think we would. And we have it here to crown a new TV champion! The battle of the DVC!
Dominating the centre of the ring, Josten watches the C2 hesitantly circling him, a devilish grin growing at what he sees as his reluctance. He licks his lips, then beckons his tag team partner to come and play.
Diamond: Even for those WGWF fans who’ve yet to see Josten in action, you can tell, just by the look of the man, that you don’t want to get in too close.
Darting in, Connolly lands a hard Snap Kick to the outside of the knee, before dropping back out of his firing range. Shaking his leg back loose, Josten holds his arms out to the sides, again inviting Christian to get close to him. Having done enough stalling for his liking, C2 again shoots in, scoring a Snap Kick to the exact same spot. Staying in close, C2 manages to bend from the path of a right hand by Josten, rotating through into a Spinning Backheel Kick.
With his foot catching Josten just under the ribs, he’s sent stumbling back a couple of steps, and the C2 wastes no time in filling the void by launching forward, then thrusting her right knee across his partner's jaw with a violent flying knee.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Diamond: This looks to be the best bet for the C2 here, hit and run.
Baxter: The problem here though is that there’s no way he can do enough damage in 2 seconds to hurt Josten in the long run. We've seen in the past how violent Josten can be, the man isn’t going to be beaten with a kick every 20 seconds.
Diamond: You may be right, we’ll have to see. But one thing is clear, this seems more like a golden opportunity for Josten to make the biggest statement of his career, rather than him drawing the short straw.
Backing away, Josten wipes the back of his hand across his bottom lip, smothering it with blood where C2’s knee split it open.
Josten: Gonna take more than that Superman…
Smirking at his opponent, Connolly again rushes him, faking another flying stripe before sliding down through his legs. Kipping-up before Josten can turn, Connolly is ready to meet him with a Spinning Backfist, playing his teeth’s xylophone with his knuckles, before throwing himself up into his highest vertical leap.
Hanging in the air, C2 shoots hisr feet in rapid fire, scoring with a trio of kicks to the chest… only for Josten to thrust out his right hand, catching him around the throat.
Baxter: And again I’m proven right.
Before gravity can grab a hold of him, Josten shoves C2 off and into the buckles. Before he can sneak out of drop down, Josten rushes the short distance to the corner, crushing Connolly against the buckles, and expelling the air from his lungs.
"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Grabbing his wrist, Josten goes to whip C2 into the opposite buckles, only to instead violently scythe at him with a Shortarm Clothesline, corkscrewing C2 down onto his front.
Diamond: You didn’t need to find his profile on the WGWF website to know that Josten would be bringing the power game. He’s one big block of muscle, and with his talent, you know there isn’t much he’s not capable of.
Baxter: If I had to pick one thing, it would be flower arranging.
Knowing that being dazed around a man like Josten is about as far from a good thing as you can get, C2 goes to crawl away, only for his hungry opponent to reach down and grab him around the waistband. Pulling C2 up, Josten grips him around the collar as well as the waistband, then tosses him up, catching him in a brutal Backbreaker.
Keeping him across his knee, Josten puts a smothering grip over Connolly’s face, pushing down, while doing the same with his other hand on his thigh.
"LET'S GO JOSTEN! SUPERMAN! LET'S GO JOSTEN! SUPERMAN!"
As the WGWF fans pour their support for both men, he simply closes his eyes and drops his head back, savouring it all.
Not getting the submission, Josten releases C2 from the torturous hold, hooking his arm around his waist as he goes to collapse. Keeping hold of his opponent, Josten spins as if he’s about to launch a discuss, then flings the limp C2 into the buckles with sickening force.
Diamond: Josten is violence.
Baxter: Josten is also just what the WGWF needs. A big, muscled, tough, violent pain-bringer who doesn’t bring a load of whiney, tree-hugging liberal morals to the table to stop him reaching his potential.
Diamond: In your own way, you may be right. Remorselessness, in this business, could be the difference between walking back with gold around your waist, or going to the back of the contenders line.
The impact sends C2 bouncing back towards him, allowing Josten to lift him up, turn, then drill him down into the canvas with a Spinebuster. He holds him down for the cover.
"ONE!
TWO!
T-NO!"
With a scowl emerging on his face, C2 pulls his right foot back and kicks it into Josten’s face, breaking the pin. Spinning up for his feet, C2 holds the small of his back, and tries to get a jump on his slower-to-rise opponent. But, as he rises, Josten grabs C2 around the waist, taking him over with a Belly to Belly Suplex before he can fire off a strike.
Josten stays on the attack by grabbing C2 by the hed and pulling him into a front facelock, then lifts his partner up into a Stalling Vertical Suplex. As he holds him up, C2 thrashes his feet and prompts the collapsing of the Suplex.
Rather than floating over for a cover, Josten pulls C2 by the waistband into a tight rear waistlock. Rising to his feet with the C2 held tight to him, the Hoss adjusts his footing with a sharp jolt of the pelvis, before throwing the struggling Connolly overhead with a German Suplex.
Pushing off with his feet just as he was launched, C2 manages to flip through and land crouched on his feet as Josten drops onto his back. Anger kick-starts C2 back into action and he springs up, catching Josten in the breadbasket with a Double-stomp
Diamond: C2 is firing back!
With Josten forced into a partial sit-up, C2 sets himself to fly, winding himself back before releasing himself up into a standing twisting Corkscrew Senton, landing his tailbone down into Josten’s abs. Rolling back through to his feet, C2 once again take to the skies, busting out a standing spinning 450 Splash.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Staying on Josten, C2 hooks the far leg, and grapevines the near with her own.
"ONE!
T-NO!"
As Josten bursts out and goes to power back to his feet, C2 locks his hands in a clinch around the back of the head, then pulls his face down into the point of his knee as he thrusts it up. Hearing the fans explode as he showcases Killyouintheface style to the masses, C2 scores with another knee, weakening Josten footing so that he collapses forward when he leaps up and tucks his knees in against his chest.
Diamond: The hit and run earlier didn’t work, so now he needs to stay on Josten, and just chip away at him by stringing it all together.
As C2’s knees drive into his sternum, Josten bounces back to his feet, then drops back against the ropes. Seeing his head slumped forward, Connolly kips-up, then rushes at him, sharply snapping his body back against its momentum to score with a Moonsault Kick to under the chin. Josten’s head snaps back, his body following, and the crowd rise from their seats as he tumbles back over the top rope and down to the floor.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Baxter: While it might give the fans something to cheer about, this isn’t good for C2. First, it gives Josten time to clear his head, and second, I’d be a lot more worried of him outside the ring that I would be of her.
C2 backs away to the far side of the ring, gesturing for the fans to up their volume another notch.
"SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN!"
Seeing Josten’s head rise above the horizon of the ring apron, Connolly launches out of his blocks, rushing across the ring then firing himself out as a torpedo through the ropes… or, to be more accurate, like a Negasonic Legacy Warhead.
But, not exactly the most drably coloured of superstars, the rapidly flying C2 becomes a bright flash in the corner of Josten’s vision, and he rolls out of harm’s way. With no way of slowing his momentum in flight, the C2 torpedoes the ramp, sliding halfway back up towards the WGWF*TRON.
Baxter: Flight aborted.
Diamond: Being partners with Connolly for years may have just paid off for Josten there.
Stalking his down opponent, and urged on by a section of fans, Josten probed him with the toes of his right boot, before trapping his arm as it goes to take a swipe at him.
Reaching down, Josten grabs C2’s head, pulling him up, then using them to lift him off the ground. Having to grab his wrists to pull himself up, C2 leaves himself vulnerable… and Josten takes the chance to throw him down, back-first onto the aisle’s ramp.
Baxter: Raw. Brute. Power.
With the referee only just starting his 10 count, Josten steps over the C2 before pulling him up, then sinks in a deep and intrusive grip to put him back down with a one-handed scoop slam.
Diamond: From what we’ve seen so far, I don’t think too many will be rushing to fight Josten if walks out TV champion.
Grabbing C2 by the wrist, Josten pulls him up, then whips his tag team partner back towards the ring, slamming the small of his back against the ring apron. As he staggers back towards him, the former Dream-A-Maniac steps to the side, then kicks his legs out from under him, sending Connolly plummeting down onto the back of his neck.
With the count ticking over towards 10, Josten pulls C2 up, grabbing his head with his left hand, and a handful of tights with his right. Spinning around, Josten lifts him off the floor, then after two more rotations, flings him in under the bottom rope.
As the official reaches 9, Josten ominously slips in after him.
Diamond: He’s managed to toss Christian Connolly around with ease here, but it looks like he’s now ready to deliver the final blow.
Baxter: Shuffle along, his head will fly right at you, and I wanna catch it!
Pacing around the groggy C2, Josten flexes his ripped right arm, then takes a couple of swipes at thin air, like a swordsman slashing down to whistle the air. As C2 gets to her feet, Josten drops against the ropes, bouncing against the cables before he finally launches himself.
Charging at the C2, Josten goes to behead him with a the Long Arm of the Law, only for Connolly’s instincts to kick in, snapping him around into a spinning Backheel Kick that catches Josten a little south of a equator.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Baxter: Someone show that referee a reply! Tech Monkeys, run it on the Tron!
Diamond: I gotta believe that was an accident.
Face souring, Josten doubles over, stumbling to the ropes and collapsing across the middle cable. Adrenaline does its best to numb the pain from his back as he breaks through its mobility restrictions and springs to the top turnbuckle.
Springing from top, C2 pumps both his feet down into the base of Josten’s skull with a Double-Stomp, leaving him convulsing on the ropes. Landing beside him, Connolly sharply spins and throws a kick up into his face, sending his opponent stumbling back towards the middle of the ring.
"SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN!"
Diamond: For the first time in this match Josten looks in trouble, and his eyes are looking cloudy!
Wincing a little where his foot thwacked against his skull, C2 grabs the top rope, yanking back on it to springboard onto the top, then fly off onto Josten’s shoulders for a Hurricanrana… but as he lands on Josten, he grabs around his waist and flings C2 down into the canvas with a Powerbomb.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Diamond: How did he do that? 5 seconds ago, the man could barely stay on his feet!
Keeping hold of the C2, Josten pulls his limp body back up, before drilling him down, neck and shoulders-first into the canvas with a 2nd Powerbomb. Keeping her folded up, Josten pins his shoulders down.
"ONE!
TWO!
THREE!"
Releasing his grip on Christian, Josten watches him unfold across the canvas, before the referee wisely slips in-between them, protecting the fallen Connolly as "Southern Proud" starts back up.
Diamond: That was just a scary performance from Erik Josten as for the 2nd time, he is the Television champion!
Baxter: They way he looked, he may hold that title longer than the tag team titles.
Masters: The winner of this match… ANNNNND NEEEEWWWWW WGWF TELEVISON CHAMPION... ERRRRRIIIKK JOSSSSSTTTENNNN!!!
The referee hands Josten the belt and he raises it high over his head. But he doesn't take much time to bask in his victory. Instead and turns to his fallen partner to make sure he's ok. He goes to help Christian up, but Christian pushes him away.
"This is your moment. Enjoy it."
He puts out his fist and Erik bumps it before Christian rolls out the ring. The crowd cheers for both men, then a "JOS-TEN" chant breaks out. Erik stands in the middle of the ring and for the first time in a long time, cracks a smile as he revels in the admiration.

John starts to make the walk towards the ring with his eyes intently sizing up the stiff competition that already stands waiting. John glad hands several fans before climbing up on the ring apron where he steps over the top rope and into the ring where he removes the IC title from his waist before holding it high in the air with his right hand drawing an even louder ovation.
The ovation continues!

Andre looks down towards the ring at the three other participants as he starts to walk towards the ring with a look of all business on his face. Andre reaches ringside where he makes his way up the steel steps and to the ring apron. Dixon looks at each participant before stepping through the ropes and into the ring. The music fades away leaving the referee to call for the bell.
DING.... DING.... DING....
All four men are in different corners as the opening bell tolls.
Diamond: One of these four will punch their ticket to the Main Event of Caged In and Challenge for the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship!
The fans are all standing and cheering wildly as the sizing up between all four begins. Andre starts to walk towards Andy which brings Chris Page in that direction as well where he stands in between Andre and Andy going face to face with Andre. John walks over spinning Andre around and opens up with right hands to a huge roar from the crowd as Chris backs off into a neutral corner watching the exchange as Andre starts to fire right back on the IC Champion! Andy starts to go towards the action when he's yanked backwards by Page and Chris whispers something in Andy's ear which brings a nod from his son as Cable blocks an exchange from Dixon and counters by driving a knee in the midsection.
Baxter: Both Chris and Andy are simply watching as Cable and Dixon are going at it!
John drives Andre back into the ropes where he flings him across the ring, Cable reverses and it's Dixon that bouces off the ropes looking to mow over Cable with a running shoulder block! John stands his ground as a stalemate takes place. Cable challeges Dixon to try again! Andre bounces off the ropes once again looking for a second shoulder block and again we're met with a stalemate. Cable rolls out to the floor as we see Andy come over to the rope where he sling shots down on top of Cable with a Cross Body Block taking both men to the floor and leaving Chris Page to stand in the center of the ring with Andre Dixon.
Diamond: There's certainly some history right here.
Page and Dre exchange some verbal plesantries while out on the floor Andy reaches down picking John up where he tries to whip John into the security barrier only to see John use his powering strength to yank Andy towards him and connecting with a clothesline taking Johnson down while in the ring Andre and Page circle each other before locking up center ring to see Andre power Page back into a neutral corner where he starts laying in serious shoulder blocks to the midsection before bringing Page out of the corner where he scoops him up over his shoulder and looks to deliver a running power slam! Chris slides down the back of Andre where he latches on to a back waist lock delivering a release German Suplex! Cable slides back into ring as there's a buzz from the crowd upon seeing Chris Page reach his feet where he stares over at the Glorious Mandingo Man Beast.
Baxter: Here's something we've all wanted to see!
Diamond: Are those crickets chriping now?
Cable and Page stand across the ring from each other and as they start to walk towards the center of the ring Dixon blind sides Cable! Andy Johnson is shown rolling back into the ring where he comes up behind Dixon rolling him up with a School Boy!
REFEREE: ONE.... TWO..... THREE!!!
Masters: ANDRE DIXON HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
Dixon has a look of complete and total shock on his face as he reaches both knees while the crowd responds with a massive ovation before breaking out into a thunderous "ANDY! ANDY! ANDY! ANDY!" chant directed towards Mr. Johnson.
Diamond: I can't believe Andre Dixon has already been eliminated!
Baxter: It goes to show any one at any time can be eliminated, and as of now we're down to a Triple Threat between Johnson/Cable/and Chris Page. One of these men will go on to Caged In and challenge for the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship.
Andre rolls out to the floor with his hands on his hips as he kicks the ring steps out of sheer frustration before making his way back up the ramp while in the ring Chris and Andy stand looking at Cable who is working his way back to a vertical base where he see's this is now a two on one exchange. Andy walks towards Cable only to be pulled back by Chris Page. Chris leans over whispering into Andy's ear but before a plan can be hatched Cable explodes towards both men taking them down with a double clothesline!
Diamond: Cable isn't going to wait around to get jumped!
Chris gets back to his feet using the ropes only to be sent over the top rope and out to the floor with a clothesline!
Baxter: Better be glad it was a Four Way Elimination and not a Battle Royale or Chris Page would be gone!
Andy is shown getting back to his feet where he comes up to Cable and as Cable spins around Andy drills him with a hard right hand that doesn't even make the Beast flinch. Andy swings again and it's blocked by Cable who then counters and drives Andy into the mat with a Side Walk Slam! Cable presses the cover.
REFEREE: ONE.... TWO.... THRE
Andy escapes the near fall as we see Cable reach a vertical base as he see's Chris starting to get to his feet on the floor. Cable charges across the ring where he dives through the ropes with a Suicide Dive through the top and middle ropes too Chris Page bringing the fans to their feet!
Diamond: Cable just flew like a cruiserweight!
In the ring we see Andy getting to his feet where he runs over to the turnbuckles and climbs them from the inside and as John stands back up Andy leaps off the top rope with a Flying Cross Body Block only to be caught in mid air by Cable! John hurls Andy over his shoulder before driving him into the floor with a Running Powerslam!
Diamond: Cable is dividing and conquering!
The crowd is rabid as John reaches his feet where he picks Andy up off the floor where he hurls him into the ring. Cable climbs up on the ring apron before stepping over the top rope and into the ring. John bounces off the ropes looking to land a massive elbow drop that see's Andy roll out of the way at the last possible second and John crashes into the canvass. Chris starts to push himself up off the floor and back to his feet where he see's Cable down and immediately slides into the ring where he reaches his feet and starts to put the boots to Cable!
Baxter: Chris knows his competition rests within the Intercontinental Champion and he's all over him!
Andy starts to work his way back to his feet where he see's Chris stomping away at Cable. Andy and Chris make eye contact and it's Chris who gives Andy a head nod. With that nod Andy comes forward stomping away at Cable drawing some boo's from the crowd.
Diamond: Like it or not this is a sound strat for BOTH Page and Johnson. Eliminate the biggest threat and move on to a singles match.
Baxter: OR is this exactly what Chris wants? Who says John is the biggest threat to Andy?
Chris reaches down picking John up off the mat where he hold him by both arms for Andy to unload right hands on. Andy seems reluctant as Chris calls out for him to hit Cable. The crowd starts a loud "NO! NO! NO! NO!" chant from the crowd and the distracted Andy allows Cable to throw his head back crashing it against Chris's nose breaking Page's grasps! Andy swings at Cable only to have it blocked and countered by a Chokeslam by Cable! John spins around and catches Chris with a boot to the face as he charges towards Cable! Page rolls out to the floor and it's Cable who turns his attention back towards Andy who is getting back to his feet where he's planted with the WAKING NIGHTMARE! Cable makes the cover hooking the near leg.
REFEREE: ONE..... TWO..... THREE!!!
Masters: ANDY JOHNSON HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
Diamond: ... And then there where two.
Andy is rolled out to the floor as Chris Page has reached his feet looking in the ring where John stands telling Chris to "bring it". The crowd starts to reach a fever pitch as Chris climbs up on the ring apron where he steps through the ropes and into the ring. The fans get louder and louder before exploding as Page and Cable immediately begin to trade right hands!
Baxter: It's either going to be Cable or Page that earn the right to challenge for the World Title come Caged In 2017!
Back and forth the right hand exchange continues before Page ducks under a right hand while taking a back waist lock but before Page can deliver the Suplex it's Cable with a standing side switch before John delivers a Release German Suplex to Page! Cable beats Page to his feet where he charges towards him looking to deliver clothesline, Page ducks sending Cable bouncing off the ropes and into a front waist lock by Page who hurls Cable over head with a Belly to Belly release over head suplex! REFEREE: ONE..... TWO..... THRE

Cable comes right back with a knife edge chop across the chest of Page!
Diamond: Back and forth these two are going!
Baxter: It's all about a chance for the title!
Page comes back with a hard right hand rocking the Beast only to have the Beast comes back with a hard right hand of his own rocking Page back into the ropes. Chris bounces off the ropes and into a boot the midsection doubling Page over. Cable positions Page where he hoists him up in the air for a Powerbomb only to see Page counter with a sit out Face Buster! Page is quickly into the cover hooking the near leg.
REFEREE: ONE..... TWO..... THRE....
Cable kicks out to a huge ovation from the crowd! Chris is back to a vertical base where he reaches down picking Cable up off the mat where he positions him for the Page Plant! Chris rolls Cable over making the cover... Only there's no referee! Suddenly LOUD boo's roar as MDK sprints down towards the ring where he dives into the ring under the bottom rope getting back to his feet unknown to Page and clearly Cable!
Baxter: The World Champion is in the ring!
Diamond: He said he was going to choose his own fate!
Page gets back to his feet where he turns around and is planted with the HELLSHOT! MDK puts Cable on top of Page before rolling out to the floor where he sprints back up the ramp and behind the curtain while the referee is still down! There's another buzz from the crowd as KYLE SHANE emerges out towards the top of the ramp with his eyes firmly focused on Cable as he walks towards the ring.
Baxter: KYLE SHANE!
In the ring John starts to come too and begins to push himself up off Chris Page.
Diamond: Shane looks to be laser focused on getting his hands on Cable!
Shane slides into the ring where he reaches his feet and immediately picks Cable up the rest of the way and instantly dropping him with the PIECES OF EDEN! Shane rolls out to the floor as the crowd boo's.
Baxter: Completely remorseless!
Diamond: Why would Kyle Shane walk in, interject himself and leave?
Baxter: He's bent! That's exactly why! But he just sent a message loud and clear to the reigning WGWF Intercontinental Champion!
Kyle Shane, intense, makes his way back up the ramp while we see Chris Page, unknowing of any of the actions, crawl towards the cover draping his arm across the chest of Cable! The referee slowly starts to come around where he see's the cover.
REFEREE: ONE......... TWO.......... THREE!!!!
DING... DING.... DING....
Masters: The winner of this contest AND the new NUMBER ONE CONTENDER for the WGWF World Heavyweight Championship... "CHRONIC" CHRIS PAGE!
Diamond: Page is the number one contender! What will MDK have to say about this? He choose his destiny with Cable only to have Kyle Shane seemingly with his own agenda costing Cable a shot at the World Title.
Chris Page slowly reaches his knee's where the referee raises his arm in the air. Chris points towards the Caged In backdrop as we once again see MDK walk out to the top of the ramp simply seething as Monday Night Brawl leaves the air.
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT:
The crowd pops as Denise Essex is shown standing in front of the Monday Night Brawl backdrop in the interview area backstage.
DENISE ESSEX- "Joining me at this time is the General Manager of Monday Night Brawl; Flash Rotten."

All attention diverts towards the top of the ramp as there's no Andy Johnson.

Andy makes his way towards the ring.
The fans ROAR once again!
Masters: The thrid participant, he represents the GLORIOUS NEW BREED and is the NEW WGWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, JOHNATHON "THE BEAST" CABLE!
The Beast walks out infront of the sold out crowd with the WGWF Intercontinental Champioship proudly strapped to his waist and a huge smile on his face as he rubs over the gold plate of the Championship.
Masters: And introducing the final participant; he is ANDRE "THE KING" DIXON!!
Andre steps out in front of the crowd to a massive ovation.
Dixon challenges Cable and as John turns and charges towards the ropes he runs right into a front waist lock by Chris Page and it's Page who hurls Cable over head with a release belly to belly suplex!
