Post by Kyle Shane on Apr 25, 2016 20:10:39 GMT -5
In-Ring Name: "The Game-Changer" Kyle Shane
Sex: Male
Age: 27 years old
Height: 6'2
Weight: 218 pounds
Hometown: Boston, Massachusetts.
Pic Base: Andrew Garfield.
WRESTLER'S IN-RING INFO
Alignment (heel/face/tweener): Heel
Wrestling Style: Technical wunderkind, with still a lingering hint of high flying, high octane offense.
Strengths: 1) Speed. Just a lightning quick, slippery bastard.
2) Not an underdog anymore. Kyle Shane is a fucking dynasty. He is not someone who wants people to see him as small time. He is larger than life and always rises to the occasion in a big match.
3) COMBOS. Kyle is adept at chain wrestling and unleashing a series of combos, floatovers, reversals.
4) Resilience. Kyle can take a large, extensive amount of punishment, but refuse to give up. Will often get back up and ask for more.
Weaknesses: 1) Cockiness. Kyle is a true gamer, and have you ever tried to tell a gamer that they suck? It doesn't work. He think he's the best and nobody can tell him he may be wrong.
2) Aggression is heightened now, to the point of frenzy. He can become a pit bull when he gets worked up, unrelenting and not stopping.
3) Smaller stature. Not the biggest or strongest in the ring, can’t win a power game against bigger, stronger opponents.
4) Contrary nature of his new attitude. Let's face it, Kyle is tired of doing what "the fans" want him to do, so if he's gaining momentum and looking to hit a high flying move, he will pull back from it. He will take the time to mock the crowd at certain points of the match, because he is honestly sick of their shit and will do the opposite of what they want from him. This could lead to him getting too into talking shit to the fans and not concentrating on the match, but really, who cares?
Entrance Theme: "Hate Me Now" by NAS ft. Puff Daddy
Entrance Description: The rising musical score and the spoken word intro to "Hate Me Now" by NAS filter through the PA system, as the house lights dim and red lights backlight the entrance tunnel on the stage as Nas raps, "You wanna hate me then hate me; what can I do but keep gettin money, funny I was just like you, I had to hustle hard never give up, until I made it. Now y'all sayin that's a clever n***a, nothin' to play with. Hate on me, I blew but I'm the same OG. People warn me, when you're on top there's envy." The big screen shows shots of Kyle’s matches. Kyle Shane steps slowly out onto the stage. He slowly holds his arms out and does a pirhouette around the stage, taking in the disdain from the crowd. Kyle begins walking down to ringside, pointing at specific fans at ringside and giving them extra attention and abuse. He walks down to the ring with that inimitable Kyle Shane swagger in his step. He climbs onto the apron, and as Nas's lyrics hit their rougher, wilder pitch, Kyle balances on the ropes for a moment, points to himself and smirks, holding his arms out, and then he hops down, takes off his sleeveless trench coat and stretches a few times to get ready.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MATCH WRITERS: With this gimmick, Kyle is going to be wrestling a less flashy style. Specifically, less huge, high flying spots, although he will still pull them out in a big fight, instead most of the time focusing on a technical mat game. The reason for this is because he's going to be upping the heel shenanigans during a match, and depriving the fans of the fast-paced, insane spots they would expect from a face Kyle Shane is part and parcel of that. To that end, he may even start heading up top for a high flying move or two during a match, only to laugh it off and hop down, then flip the crowd off. Basically, he's going classic heel mode, saying fuck what the fans want, and doing things his way. That's not to say, though, he will still go for a high risk if it presents itself, but his moves now are less showy, crowd-pleasing cruiserweight and more aggressive, calculated, snarky asshole with a grudge.
BACKGROUND INFO
Biography: At this point, everyone knows who Kyle Shane is and what he's about. Dead mother, growing up in a trailer park, alcoholic abusive dickhead father, escaping to MIT to become a schmoozing, drug peddling, potheaded game nerd. Coming to wrestling. XWF Reboot, several titles. WGWF, many more titles, Hall of Fame nod, cornerstone of the fed for a few years, yadda yadda. Has a small circle of acquaintances and a love interest, but his cold, aloof and hard to understand demeanor makes sure he's always at odds with them. That's the bare bones.
But what's important to know about Kyle Shane right now is this:
Kyle Shane is pissed off about the direction his life has gone. He never intended to get so entrenched in this game, but he has, and he made it work. He dedicated a lot of time and energy into propelling the WGWF forward and making the Kyle Shane legacy shine alongside the boosted profile of the company brand. But there comes with that a distinct lack of appreciation for his accomplishments and a marked layer of apathy for every single thing he's sacrificed for the company, and frankly, Kyle's just had enough. He got tired of anchoring the main event scene and providing a strong, unbreakable lawful good figurehead for the roster to follow after. And he very much got tired of being overlooked, or worse, having what he did achieve sneered at because, for whatever reason, people thought it didn't measure up to the great things the generation before him did. Fuck that. No longer just the God of Game, because Gods want people to worship them and he does not want these people to worship him at all. A Game Changer, every time he steps in that ring. He feels the peers and his supposed fans of his work have overlooked just what he is for too long.
A real paradigm shift, a new era borning.
So he set out to make that his brand, and do what he does, not for the fans, but for him.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Kyle is a relatively tall, well built young man, thin, with longish legs, and a compact but extremely cut body. But the new Kyle Shane has a distinct new look. A long and bushy beard, longer hair, now it's not as gelled up into a quiff, but slicked. He has several game themed tattoos on his arms and shoulders (i.e. the 1-up mushroom and symbol on his shoulder blade, Link's Hylian shield and the Master sword on his bicep, etc.)
Out of the ring attire: He usually wears either a well-cut black suit (for swag effect) with an open necked white shirt, and black Italian loafers. Or else, for comfort, low-rider jeans and a video game or comic book t-shirt.
In ring attire: Kyle has completely revamped his attire. Gone are the long-fit basketball-ish shorts and hoodie. Now, Kyle sports professional looking wrist tape, and a pair of short wrestling trunks with bare legs down to the knee. The trunks are white and red, and have an 8-bit graphic box border saying "Game Changer". His knee pads are white, and have a red Kingdom Hearts Heartless crest on the kneecap. He has black boots with white kick-guards. To the ring, he wears a long white trenchcoat with a collar, but the coat has no sleeves and is open-chested. On the back of the trenchcoat is written in the font of the Kingdom Hearts game series in red the word "Heartless". Kyle takes the trenchcoat off before he wrestles, and prefers to wrestle bare chested.
