This was it. The moment of truth. Everything I worked for now rests on my next move. Go home a winner or lose everything and forever be remembered as the guy who let it all slip through his fingers. A part of me hates moments like this. Start second guessing every decision I made up to this point. People think it's easy to be put into this situation. Always telling you what "they" would do if it was "them". But when you put them to the test, they all freeze up. It's never as simple as they think. My palms are sweaty. Can feel my heart thumping in my chest. Looking over at my opponent... He's as cool as the other side of the pillow. The way he looks at me... It's as if he knows what I'm thinking and is enjoying my inner struggle. To him, it's just a game. Win or lose, he goes home and will be able to sleep at night. I don't want to lose. I CAN'T lose. Not to him. Not now. It's go time!
Sean Graves - You got any 4s?
Blake Armstrong shakes his head with a smirk on his face.
Blake Armstrong - Go fish!
Sean Graves - Dammit!
Sean draws his 10th card in a row while Blake just holds a single card.
Blake Armstrong - Aight bro, just hit me with a Jack and I can finally put you out of your misery.
Sean has a Jack. In fact, Sean has 3 of them. He looks Blake in the eye with disdain and tosses his entire hand in his face causing Blake to burst into laughter.
Sean Graves - This is bullshit!
Blake Armstong *laughing* - What's that? That after all these years, I can still beat your ass in a child's game?
Sean Graves - That's because you're a child and can only play child games. Step up into a man's world and play a real's man game and we'll see who comes out on top bitch!
Blake Armstrong - Like what? Wrestling? You plan on getting back in the ring and challenging me to a fight now?
Sean Graves - Fuck that. Why climb in a ring when I can beat your ass right here. Besides, like I told Heather, I have no intention of wrestling again.
Blake Armstrong - Seriously? After that Masters of the Mat show, being in front of the crowd and in the ring, I figured you would get all nostalgic and jump back into the game.
Sean Graves - Did you see the chicks that were in that match? Can you blame me for jumping back in for that?
Blake laughs and drinks the last swallow from his bottle.
Blake Armstrong - Loser grabs a few more bottles... bitch!
Sean finishes off his bottle as well before backing away from the table and heading into the kitchen to grab a couple more. Closing the refrigerator door, he notices a couple of hand drawn kid pictures. One in particular has five big circles with lines coming from them representing arms and legs with the words "MOMY", "DADDDY", "TEGAN", "ZAK" and "ME". Sean takes a sip from his bottle.
Sean Graves - Aww... Kids are the worst artists its cute. Almost like they were dropped on their head or something. Then again, they have Steve Jason genes so...
Voice - Excuse me?
Sean nearly chokes as he turns around to see Heather Halliwell standing behind him.
Heather Halliwell - What did you just say about my kids Sean?
Sean Graves - I said they are lucky to have a mother as beautiful and as sexy as you.
Sean moves in for a kiss, but Heather backs away and looks at his with a raised eyebrow.
Heather Halliwell - What are you doing?
Sean Graves - Trying to tell you I'm sorry the best way I know how.
Heather Halliwell - Nice try. Not going to happen.
Sean looks Heather over and notices she's dressed up as if she's going on a date. She looks past him to check out her reflection in the mirror behind him.
Sean Graves - I didn't know we had plans tonight.
Heather Halliwell - We don't have plans.
Blake Armstrong - Did you and I have plans Heather?
Heather Halliwell - Please Blake. Stop flattering yourself. I don't have plans with either of you which is why Sean I need you and your little friend to pack up and get out.
Blake Armstrong - Did you and I have plans Heather?
Heather Halliwell - Please Blake. Stop flattering yourself. I don't have plans with either of you which is why Sean I need you and your little friend to pack up and get out.
Sean Graves - What? Where are we supposed to go? I'm staying here with you remember?
Heather Halliwell - That's the other thing. I need you to move out by next week okay?
Blake is heard snickering in the background. Sean shoots him a glare as Heather walks towards the front door and starts grabbing her keys and purse.
Sean Graves - You're serious?
Heather Halliwell - As a heart attack. Look I love you Sean, but this business arrangement we have... it didn't mean you could crash my office during shows or have your friends over at my place like you live here. We don't have that kind of relationship anymore. So... I need you out. Kay?
Heather blows Sean a kiss and walks out before Sean can even answer. As soon as the door shuts, Blake walks up behind Sean and grabs one of the bottles from his hand.
Blake Armstrong - Damn dude. This sucks... My beer's all warm because you took all day handing it to me.
Sean Graves - What the hell am I suppose to do man? Think I could crash at your place for a bit?
Blake Armstrong - You do remember I'm married to your ex wife right?
Sean Graves - Oh yeah... Tell Maria I said hi and I miss her.
Blake Armstrong - Fuck you. But seriously, what are you going to do?
Sean looks lost in thought before his eyes widen and he flashes that trademark grin of his.
Sean Graves - I got it!
