A second generation star who stepped away from the business for 11 years, missing what many consider the 'prime' of a wrestler's career. He's been back for over a couple years now and has had some success, winning some gold early on in 2021 but pretty much going goldless in 2022 though a World Series of Wrestling finalist was a nice consolation prize. In 2023 he had a major bounce back, winning 3 titles in IIW and appearing in multiple international events. As 2024 starts, he is looking to finish his career in both WGWF and TPW plus accepting whatever big event booking that comes his way. One thing is for sure, once he hits 100 matches he is calling i a career. CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY: The son of former OCW/ICWF great: Scorpion. Though this was a fact that was unknown to Venom and to Scorpion until a few days before his career was set to begin in NLW. While Venom has tried to avoid his father, it has been difficult as his father is trying to kill him to fulfill a contract that will guarantee his freedom. Scorpion has been hired by a man seekin' revenge on Venom for nearly killing his son at an underground wrestling event. Despite battling his father and this done, Xavier was at the peak of his career in the 3 years that followed, winning numerous tournaments and the World Title in 3 separate occasions before stepping away from the sport in 2009 due to personal reasons though never officially 'retiring'. Xavier, along with Marcus Ka'Derrion decided to return to wrestling after being absent from the sport for over 11 years and formed a tag team called "Sins of the Fathers" and joined the GCWA in August of 2020. They had a great seven month run, in which they captured the tag team championships in two separate occasions, and only stopped because the federation closed its doors. They were the active tag champions at that time. Xavier also built a nice singles record and earned himself a World Title shot by winning a "Crowning Achievement" match against three other competitors. Again, the federation closed so he didn't get a chance to 'cash-in'. From there Marcus and Xavier decided to go their separate ways in June 2021, Marcus feeling he had scratched the itch but Xavier, 'bitten' by the success he had found, decided to continue solo and see how far he could go. He joined OCW, a promotion his 'hated' father is a Hall of Famer of, to see if he could do what the 'old man' could do. Well in his first match he won the World Title and had a good, albeit short, 3 months run. He won two other singles titles and was well on his way to match his father's success there but then the owner had a meltdown and after what has now become known as "the purge", Xavier decided not to return to the promotion. After a short hiatus, in December 2021 he set his sights both in a young promotion called TPW and a promotion that has been around since the late 90's: XWF. Unfortunately, it is here where his struggles begun. In TPW, he did OK, making it to the finals of the World Title match but losing, and received a North American title shot down the line but also lost. That promotion closed only after 4 months, so he decided to stay in XWF and wrestle there exclusively. He had mostly downs there, losing 'the big matches', had a few pay per view matches, but lost them all... He had 3 separate title shots which he had to work hard for, but 2 within a week's time and lost both (in controversial fashion to ease the pain I guess). He earned a just above .500 record he is not proud of, as he has always been a winner, and a champion no matter where he has gone. His contract was up for renewal in December, and he decided not to renew, instead focusing on some cross-promotional events at the end of the year which included IIW's Ice Crown Rumble. He did okay there, entering at number 17, eliminating Latoya Hixx, Pequeno Dinosaurio and Terry Marshall before being eliminated himself by Thomas Stone. He had two engagements this year, the Denzel Porter Invitational 2 where he lost to Jack Sullivan as well as OCW's Carpe Noctem 2 event in which he had two matches, winning his first vs. Mose Maurako but then losing to Corey Smith. Despite his struggles in 2022, he was recognized by the wrestling community and awarded one of only 64 golden tickets for This-Is-Awesome Promotion's World Series of Wrestling event which ran from October through December 2022. He did well there, surviving both cuts, being in the final 16 and finishing ranked #4 in the world and earning himself the WSOW video game cover. In 2023 he decided to come back to IIW and make it his home for the 2023 calendar year, having had a good time at the rumble and appreciating how he was treated and welcomed by management then. Unfortunately just months after him joining, IIW closed its doors. Xavier managed to win 10 of 12 matches, though the one he lost was the Ice Crown Rumble so that one doesn't really count and the other was a no-contest match. So he had a great run, and also won 3 individual titles, becoming a Triple-Crown champion but alas, all good things come to an end and he spent the rest of 2023, looking for a new home, and it was here he decided to go back to TPW and finish his career there but also sign to the Smash brand of WGWF. His goal now is simple, get to 100 matches, and whatever titles and accolades he gets between now and then, he'll gladly take if not, he'll ride off into the sunset, happy with what he has accomplished in his career. ENTRANCE The lights in the building start to flicker, matching the opening riffs and drums of 'The Infection' by Disturbed. After the intro, a brief pyro explosion goes off in the entrance and as the lyrics of the song begin, Xavier Lux steps out from behind the smoke left by the pyro. He stands there sporting a black 7 Wrestling Sins T-shirt. He looks around at the crowd who were starting to come around to him, until he aligned himself with Barrows. Now, they have nothing but boos for "The Man with Venom in his Veins" as he makes his way down the ramp, keeping his focus on the ring. Once he gets to ringside, he looks under the ring and takes out his new friend, BERTHA! He grins and then hops on the apron, wiping his boots before getting in. Once inside, he makes his way to the corner, climbs to the second turnbuckle and raises Bertha high in the air and the crowd boos even louder now. He jumps down, laughing, as his music fades, the ref checks him and then gets ready for the match to start.
