Replay of WGWF War Games Tag Team Championship match: One by one, they both land vicious kicks on Damage, and they are softening him up for the finish. Austin goes to the corner, and Todrick tags Austin after bouncing the skull of Damage off the turnbuckle and placing him in the corner facing forward. Austin had entered the ring and pointed at Todrick, who normally would twerk for a few seconds now but passed it by tonight... They nod toward each other before delivering dual superkicks to the head of their opponent.
Derrick Diamond: “Thirst trap!!! This could be it...”
Damage stumbles out of the corner, and Austin is quick to climb to the top rope.
Centurion: “Air Austin connects!!!”
As Austin goes for the cover, Todrick just manages to baseball slide and kick Ragnarök into the guardrail while the ref slides in for the count.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!!!!
Charlotte explodes as the Show Stealerz have just reclaimed the WGWF Tag Team Championship. Austin and Todrick are awarded the titles and have their arms raised in victory. Todrick is elated as she celebrates the hard-fought victory by jumping up on the middle rope and hoisting up her World Tag Team Title.
Centurion: “Love has conquered all tonight at War Games! The Show Stealerz have just become two-time WGWF World Tag Team Champions!”
Austin looks at his title and then at his wife celebrating with a look of uncertainly.
Derrick Diamond: “Todrick is celebrating, Austin looks puzzled.”
Todrick jumps down to the mat turning around to face Austin, who is now all smiles as the power couple hugs it out in the center of the ring. The referee raises their arms in the air signifying the victory. Austin walks over to the ropes and sits on the second rope so Toddy can treat the fans with her signature ring exit, which keeps the crowd in a frenzy as she bends over while stepping through the ropes. She hops to the floor, and Austin does the same. They slap hands on their way back up the ramp. They stop at the top of the stage, and Austin spins her around and pulls her tight as he dips and kisses her at the top. He picks her up, and they hold their championship belts in the air one more time before heading back through the curtain.
They hold hands, nod, and reply to those that are congratulating them on the way back to their locker room. Once they enter the locker room, Austin’s face immediately sours as he is forced to see the roses given to Todrick earlier in the night. Austin forgot he had Todrick’s hand and his, and he squeezed until she yelped and pulled her hand away. She can feel the heat radiating off of him, and her eyes are immediately drawn to the purple-colored spot in the wall where he had flung his juice box.
Austin said nothing but made his way over to his gym bag. He pulls out a lighter, walks over to the flowers, grabs the card, and lights it on fire. The flames flicker in his black and green eyes, and Todrick can see the sinister sneer on his face. For the most part, she had learned how to control this new version of Austin, but she was unsure at this moment. She knew he would be fixated on this, and she could do nothing about it. Austin sat down at her vanity table and destroyed the flowers, petal by petal while staring at Toddy’s reflection in the mirror. He was trying to control his face, but he couldn’t; his sinister side was taking over more and more. When he finally spoke, his voice was laced with anger yet calm and sounded like a sing-song tone.
Austin Ramsey: “This does not upset you, does it, Todrick?”
Todrick looks at Austin and silently thinks to herself. “He called me Todrick; that means he’s angrier than I thought.” Austin rarely picked a fight with her, but she could tell that is where this was headed and refused to engage in this trap. The last thing she needed was the Real Housewives of Wrestling cameras that constantly followed them to catch that on film.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Hey Babe, at the end of the match, you left us, I could tell. Where did you go?
He finishes destroying the last flower in the bouquet and throws the remains in the waste basket. He stands up, walks up to her, grabs her arm, puts his hand around the small of her back, and dances as if he is the Joker and she is Vicki Vale in the original Batman movie.
Austin Ramsey: “Oh, Todrick, that may have worked on me in the past, but you changing the topic doesn’t work with me now. You will answer my questions about these flowers before I answer any of yours. Do I make myself clear?”
Toddy says nothing and releases her.
Austin Ramsey: “Why don’t you go shower and get dressed so we can head to the hotel.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “You aren’t going to join me?”
Austin almost scoffs at the suggestion, but he looks her right in the eyes.
Austin Ramsey: “No. One of the perks about this new “one” Austin thing, in addition to missing personalities, my sex addiction seems to be gone. This means you can take withholding or using it to get your way right out of your arsenal. You want me to reenter our marital bed, sleep next to you, touch you; you know what you must do. You will talk to me about #flowergate, or we are at an impasse. Now go shower and take some time to think. I prefer to sleep in the bed at the hotel, but I’ll sleep on the sofa if we don’t talk.”
Austin turns his back and walks out of the locker room. Todrick stands there dumbfounded. This entire time, she had only controlled one side of the new him. She had to figure this new side out quickly. This would mean serious trouble if she didn’t figure this out. The scene ends.
A few days later, with the reality TV cameras filming, Austin had kept true to his word. He moved into one of the guest rooms. He destroyed every flower in the Ramsey household and, at a family meeting, forbade anyone from all flower-related activities. Daniel looked at his mom with a “is he serious look,” and she nodded her head at him. Todrick silently wondered why the twins had to attend this meeting because she was sure they didn’t understand. However, it was apparent that Dominic enjoyed the tone his father was using, and this did worry Todrick slightly. Sometimes she wondered if the boy had inherited more than his father’s good looks.
The couple had barely spoken in days. But she needed to talk to him about business, and she figured she would test the waters. She asked Daniel to take the twins to the nursery for a while. Austin quickly sensed she was trying to get him alone, so he connected his phone to the sound system in the house and played Whitney Houston’s (It’s Not Right But It’s Okay). He sat down and stared at her with a smirk on his face. She did this in the car when she was upset with him, and lately, he had been using all of her tactics against her. Toddy was not amused.
She rolls her eyes at him and walks into the kitchen. She starts making his favorite vegan dinner, Creamy sesame noodles with Yuba. This dish consisted of ribbons of protein-packed fresh yuba and some tofu skin. It has a delightfully bouncy texture and nutty flavor inside the quick creamy vegan noodles. It was one of his “feel-good” meals. Austin knew how long it took to make the dish, and he intentionally timed it and ordered the same meal on door dash so that it would arrive right before Toddy’s was ready. He snickered to himself as he got up and went to the bathroom as the doorbell rang.
Toddy was forced to answer the door, and she controlled her anger as she thanked the Dasher and shut the door. Austin came out of the bathroom and came face to face with her holding the food, and her arms were crossed. Her hips were cocked to the left, and her right leg extended, and she did not look happy at all. Austin stood there and stared defiantly at her. They stand there in a stare-off, and their eldest son has walked up to the situation that, grabbed both of them, led them into the living room, and pushed them down onto the couch next to one another.
Daniel Ramsey: “All right, I don’t know, and I don’t want to know. I assume this has to do with flowers after that whack-ass family meeting we just had. You two better figure this out and figure it out fast. You already know that you have new contenders for your Tag Team Championships, but have you bothered to watch the show back and not just your match? There is something you should see.”
Daniel turns on the Apple TV and turns on the War Games replay. He fast forwards, and you see Bam Miller and Mac Ban backstage. After their segment ends, he pauses the broadcast.
Daniel Ramsey: “All right, so let’s digest some things here. Mac says nothing can kill him and that The Alliance of Ultra-Violence needs to make a statement after War Games. He called all the other teams, including YOU, pretty fucking weak. Bam then reconfirms this sentiment about the house that you two built. Then Mac says it’s hunting season; whom is he hunting? The two of you. Then Bam, who must have bought his audacity in bulk, has the nerve to say that he will make your titles prestigious again. What is that brick supposed to be about?
I love you both, but you need to get your shit together right here and right now. Dad, you have a history with both Mac and Bam; you need to share that with Mom. If you two don’t fix whatever this is, history has shown us how this turns out for you two. Your strength is in the bond that you have in and out of the ring. Fuck some bullshit flowers; figure it out when you have time and not a championship defense looming on the horizon. You cannot lose those titles right after gaining them back. Whose house is it? If it’s your house, protect it the same way you protect me, Dominic, and Diana.
Dad, I love you, but I’m taking this food, and I hate vegan food, but you are going to eat what mom just made for you.”
Todrick smirks at Austin.
Daniel Ramsey: “And you, just answer his fuck…”
Todrick cuts her eyes at him, and Daniel quickly remembers that he has a black mother and fixes himself quickly.
Daniel Ramsey: “Mom, just answer his question or questions, and then y’all discuss and strategize what I just said to you and what you saw. Please?”
Daniel grabs the food and walks into the kitchen, and makes the twins bottles. Austin looks at Todrick, and they finally go into the dining room, where Todrick already had everything set up for them. Austin pours the wine, and they sit down. Austin watches as Toddy says grace as he isn’t religious. He always holds her hand to show respect for her religious custom as she says grace, but when she is finished, he doesn’t let go.
Austin Ramsey: “Look, Babe, I’m going to put all of my cards on the table. I’m fucking hurt. I was angry, but now I’m hurt. Everyone on fucking Twitter has had more to say about #flowergate than you have. I don’t believe you sent the flowers but say something to me and say something publicly. I feel like you are leaving me alone to face the entire world about these got damned flowers. You know I don’t like being alone, and you know these flowers are a big issue for me. You see that the entire world, Cholo, JMont, and so many others are using this against me, and yet you are silent. That is killing me on the inside.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Austin, there is nothing I can say that will fix this situation. Do you realize they are essentially calling me a whore in this as well? You see how it affects you, but that’s what people are saying without saying it. That I’m so weak-willed that after a few nice words and friendly gestures that I’d throw my entire marriage away. What does that say about me?
What good is anything I said about the flowers going to do with you? You know how you are when you get obsessed with something, so would I help you by feeding into your anger about them?”
Austin Ramsey: “You can tell me you don’t like it. You can tell me the truth whether I respond or not. At least you are saying something. You can talk to me like I asked you to and show me this is still 50/50 on everything. I’m not the same person Toddy. My head is different, and yeah, when you whisper that stuff in my ear, I’m not on the dark path, but you can’t control him. I want you to focus on 50/50 versus controlling me. You already know I’m yours, and yeah, you keep doing that whisper-in-my-ear thing before, during, and after matches. But I need you to respect where my head is now. Talk to me about the flowers, and then we can talk about Mac and Bam.”
Todrick looks into his eyes and recognizes the Austin she married is present. He is being open and sharing. Upstairs, you hear, “Son of a bitch, just wait until you get older.” You then hear Dominic defiantly giggle. Todrick’s motherly instincts kick in, and she tries to get up, but Austin pulls her back down and into the moment.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I’m not trying to control you, or I don’t know; maybe I am. This is all new for me, Austin. I’ve had to deal with 28 personalities for years, and I had to be a certain way with each one of them. My approach may be wrong for this new you, but I don’t know how to reach that other side of you. He seems resentful of me when I’m not doing what he..you..want. This is brand new territory for me as well.
Look, I don’t know where the flowers came from, I know that Cholo and I are just friends. I get it, he likes messing with you, and you don’t rule him out as a suspect, but I think if Cholo was actively pursuing me, he’d bring his A-game. I’m not your average run-of-the-mill lady and a single bouquet of flowers isn’t going to make me leave my husband. We swore an oath to one another. Until death do us part, I take that very seriously. You and Bam Miller have a history; what if Bam sent them? He is clearly coming after us. Sure, they said they were going after the other teams first, but he now has a title match against us at Brawl? Think, Austin. At the end of the day, I wake up next to you every morning, or at least I used to.”
Austin ponders this for a few moments, and they take a sip of their wine.
Austin Ramsey: “Well, I guess I did throw a go-kart on Bam and throw him into a dumpster afterward; he could still hold a grudge. But Bam is like Cashe; he gets the man code, we fight, and then it’s over. Mac wouldn’t go for that, either. Sure, we have had some competitive stuff in the past, but he has been a good friend to me.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Baby, I hear you, but when it comes to championships and advancing to the top, you have no friends in this business. You heard what he said when he was talking to Bam, you weren’t excluded in those thoughts of being weak. Friendship aside, they are coming for us, and you need to be ready.”
Austin Ramsey: “Toddy, you just don’t understand the depths of our friendship. Mac and I will go out there and have a classic banger as we have done in the past. He keeps telling me to work through stuff; this is just a friendly competition where we will bring our best like we always do.”
Toddy looks at him in his eyes.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Promise me that you will be prepared for anything. If and when Mac betrays your trust to get the win…”
Austin interrupts her.
Austin Ramsey: “Not when…okay, maybe if.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Okay, but I need you to be ready for it, and I need you to get over that betrayal real quick and finish the match doing what we need to do. Address it afterward.”
Austin Ramsey: “You really think he’d betray me or that he knows about the flowers?”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Judas was one of Jesus’ friends and disciples. I trust very few people. He may be innocent, but if he isn’t, I need you to be prepared in the event I can’t get to you and whisper in your ear.”
Austin’s face goes blank, and the scene ends.
A few days later, Austin and Todrick are all smiles as they are on a small yacht. Everyone is dressed in all white. Austin has on a white linen shirt that is unbuttoned and white linen shorts. Toddy has on a white two-piece with a big floppy sun hat. All the Ramsey children are there, and the family is having a good time. The cameras are there, but it doesn’t distract from the good time being had by all. Family and friends are surrounding them. They pull up to a private island that they had reserved, and everyone disembarks. Todrick and Austin sneak away from the entire group but not the MIL network cameras and find a secluded area. The two embrace, and Austin kisses her.
The fighting was behind them, and they were on one accord. What Daniel said had made sense, and they had talked extensively over the last few days. Twitter and Discord had driven a lot of it, but they were on the same page. They knew that facing Mac Bane and Bam Miller would not be a cake walk so they stopped fighting and trained harder, but they needed things like this to strengthen the bond that everyone was so threatened by.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Hey Rockstars! Well, you know that we are your reigning WGWF Tag Team Champions again. We could not have done this without each and every one of you. Your love and support are never wasted when it comes to us. As John Cable said on Brawl Talk or forgot to mention us, we are one of the last few heroes that you have to look up to in the WGWF. There is a house that we built, and we lost control of it, but we reclaimed it and the thrones at the top of the mountain. We have to accurately acknowledge what was in the history books, and we are going to spend a brief moment on the past because we all know the future is what is important.”
Austin Ramsey: “I know that since War Games, I have been focused on #flowergate, and while it still irks the fuck out of me, I am going to do what we have always done and focus on the task at hand. I’ll pick #flowergate back up when we successfully retain against The Alliance of Ultra-Violence. What is the B-Team Tekken rejects teams is this bullshit? You realize not every match is going to be hardcore, right?
Sounds to me like you are limiting yourself to certain types of matches that you think you can win. It sounds like you know that you can’t hack it in traditional technical matches, and you need a crutch to win. We already know that about Bam, but I’m surprised at you, Mac. You just came off of War Games, where you showed who you can be, but this is what you have limited yourself to? If you use the “brick” that Bam gave you, then you lose and go back to the bottom of the pack. You aren’t a bottom of the pack kinda dude.
Bam has improved by leaps and bounds over the years so I won’t sit here and act like he is the same guy I faced before. But if your gimmick is limited to violence, how do you propose to beat us in a match where violence gets you disqualified and us the win? We have the champion's advantage here, so you have to make zero mistakes to beat us, and it sounds like you both aren’t prepared for that after seeing what you had to say at War Games. Your comments were cute, but cute is for puppies, not champions. You were right to say you should start at the bottom and work your way up. History has taught us what happens when generals make bad decisions on the battlefield and go after the stronger opponent before they have properly strategized and looked at all the weaknesses of their enemy.
If you wanted to wage war, you should have read The Art Of War by Sun Tzu because you are entering into a war where your violence doesn’t matter. You are still on our playground with no stipulation, and we both know what that means. Ask JMont how it ends if you distract the referee and try to use a weapon against us during the match. I am not the Austin that either of you knew and the Austin that I welcome you to underestimate. Your past accolades matter not in this match, so do not rely on them. You are only as good as your last match, and you are facing an Austin that is more focused, driven, and connected to Toddy than ever before.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “The Emperor Of Tomorrow has spoken; let all that hear these greetings bend the knee.”
The two put the connected leaves' crowns on one another and embrace as the scene ends.
