Austin Ramsey is suiting up in a locker room. Todrick Tabor-Ramsey is at a make-up table applying her make-up. Akasha Monroe called Austin to wrestle in a Proud House Wrestling special show that MIL Network was hosting. She was working on relaunching the brand, and she hit up her sister, Toddy, to get Austin involved. Austin has been having a rough go at life since WGWF presented WrestleWars Eight to the world. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, his 28 documented personalities have gone MIA. They have been replaced with a dual-friendly and sinister Austin. His green eyes are now half black and half green. He thinks he has found balance, but Toddy and his doctor do not agree with his reasoning.
Austin looks over at his wife as he finishes getting ready. He walks over to her and wraps his arms around her. She reaches up, puts her hands on his, and smiles. He says nothing but looks into her eyes in the mirror.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Husband.”
Austin Ramsey: “Wife.”
She slowly stands up, turns around, and wraps her arms around his neck as he wraps his arms around his waist.
Austin Ramsey: “Things have been rocky since WrestleWars, but tonight we show the world that we are back on one accord. All the people that have been interfering with not just our marriage but our partnership in the ring will all see that it has been for naught. Tonight, we display the new versions of ourselves and the evolution of us as a tag team with an inseparable bond. The only way we are breaking up is if death makes us part. It was in our wedding vows. Are you ready to show the world that the Empress within you has been awakened?
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “We have been through a lot in the last few months. We allowed someone to come into our house and take what rightfully belongs to us. Tonight is the first of many nights that we show the world who we are, and once we reclaim our titles, we won’t let anyone get that close again. The Empress will join her Emperor because we are better than the many “Kings and Queens” of this business. Till death do us part, my dear husband.
The two kiss and Toddy goes to wipe her lip gloss off of his lips, but he takes her hand in his. With his free hand, he picks up his red wooden baseball bat that is showing the battle wounds from the damage it sustained at Monday Night Brawl, and he spins it. He opens the door for Toddy, and they make their way to the guerilla area. He puts his forehead on hers. “I Love You,” he whispers to her. Unfamiliar music begins to play in the arena.
The sound of a whip is heard, and Austin Ramsey steps out from behind the curtain as all hear these words.
Austin has on white gear with his signature New York Yankees red baseball cap. He has on white trunks with a red triangle on the front and sides. A black fist is shown breaking through bricks with red flames behind it. He has the same logo on his kick pads and on the black boots before the toe area. He twirls his bat in a circle on his right side. He slowly walks down the ramp with an expressionless face.
Many of the fans wonder where Todrick is and fear the worse. The two of them had not reconciled, which was the reason for the new demeanor in Austin. Austin has his fair share of supporters that are cheering as he makes his way up the ring steps. He slowly steps between the ropes. He walks to the center of the ring and holds his arms up, and lets out a frustrated roar. The crowd comes alive once more and cheers him on. He walks to his corner and takes off his hat and jacket. He sets his bat down, and the crew takes it all out of the ring.
The camera pans over a packed arena in Atlanta, Georgia, as the crowd erupts in anticipation. The energy in the air is palpable, and the stage is set for an epic showdown. Suddenly, the lights dim, and the arena is enveloped in darkness. A pulsating beat starts playing, and colorful spotlights sweep across the stage, revealing two figures standing tall in the center.
Lisa Danvers: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the ring... The Starlight Express!
The crowd explodes with cheers as The Starlight Express, a charismatic and high-flying team of wrestlers, emerges from the darkness. Clad in dazzling silver and gold outfits adorned with glowing LED lights, they exude an otherworldly aura.
Lisa Danvers: “And their opponent, hailing from Manhattan, NY, Austin Ramsey!”
The Starlight Express grabs a microphone.
The Starlight Express: “Atlanta! Tonight, the cosmos aligns with destiny, and We stand before you as the embodiment of speed, grace, and awe-inspiring spectacle!”
The crowd roars with their disapproval.
The Starlight Express: “Austin Ramsey, our unlucky opponent, We've heard the tales of your prowess in the squared circle. They say you're relentless, unforgiving, and a true sort of fan hero. But lately, it seems that Lady Luck has abandoned you again. What was supposed to be a tag team match has turned into a handicap match for you as, yet again, your wife has moved on to bigger and better people in the back. Haha.”
Austin shrugs and smirks at the two men who are high-fiving one another. Their smiles disappear when another unfamiliar entrance theme begins to play in the arena.
The crowd all turns to look at the entrance ramp as the lights move to the drumbeat when the words begin. Todrick Tabor-Ramsey steps out onto the stage. The crowd erupts in massive cheers. Todrick stands at the top of the ramp with a defiant look on her face. Austin looks at his wife with pride in his eyes. She is wearing all white like her husband. The same logo with the fist punching through bricks with red flames shooting out is on the right side of her one-piece outfit. It has a v-cut in the middle and has her husband’s signature color of red on the laces.
She spins around, and the words Austin’s Wife are in big letters on her back in fairwater script with beautiful rhinestones adorning the outside of the letters. The crowd gets louder at this reveal. She turns around, and her thigh-high black boots have the same logo on them at the knee area and also above the toe area. Her blond hair is laid with finger waves, and her make-up is flawless as she begins walking down the ramp. Her hips are giving it to the people as she hits them with an ole’ nasty walk as she sashays to the ring.
Austin walks to the ropes and sits down on the second rope as he gingerly takes his hand, and she reminds the crowd why Candice Page has nicknamed her “The Cutie With The Booty.” The Starlight Express does not look pleased in their corner. Austin takes her hand and leads her to the center of the ring, where he slowly spins her and pulls her in for a kiss. This sets the arena ablaze with deafening noise, and it looks like the Show Stealerz has given all the people who believe in love a reason to believe again. Austin is handed a microphone which he accepts and points toward Todrick. The crowd all scream yes, and he gets down on one knee and offers her the microphone. She accepts, and she looks at all in attendance, and she smiles.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Hey, Rockstars!”
Todrick has to wait for the crowd to settle down because those famous two words always work them into a frenzy. Austin steps back to the corner and gives his wife the spotlight. The look of pride had not left his face that was emotionless before. She brings out the best in him. She was his everything, and it showed.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Now, this is truly a welcome for a queen, except I’m no queen; there are too many of them in this business, some deserved and most not when you analyze their abilities in the ring and on the microphone. I’ve never been one to settle for a secondary monarchy; why be a queen when you can be an empress? As an empress, it’s like the words say in my new entrance theme, I already live in your tomorrow; you can’t hide.
This change in us is quite deliberate, we still love all of you, but the lyrics are significant in our themes now. What do I mean by that? The mere fact that you don’t see us out here with our WGWF tag team titles kicked it off. We are allowed to carry them wherever we went because that is a house that we built. Since the opening of the WGWF, we took a tag team division from non-existent to now; everyone wants to be involved in something with The Show Stealerz, with a fucking z. We were put on this pedestal by our fellow roster members, and we have an enormous task at hand at War Games.
Usually, it’s Austin that is the one out here delivering stats and the cold truth, but as it says in my lyrics, I am the future of your sorrows, take your time; it’s too late. I already live in your tomorrow; you can’t hide. To the Show Stoppers, whom we clearly inspired, I am the Empress of Tomorrow, and we all know that day and night. Your destiny’s written all over the sky; you can’t hide! You did what any team would do when we were in a vulnerable position, and you did it well. I hope you enjoyed your time as filler champions for the WGWF. Much like our opponents tonight are hoping to come in and establish themselves as the Proud House Wrestling Tag Team Champions off our blood, sweat, and tears. That act has been done, and everyone is tired of watching that show.”
Toddy is interrupted abruptly.
The Starlight Express: “How dare you! How dare you come out here and disrespect us by not even mentioning us when this is the match you should be focused on. You won’t treat us like we are not worth your time or acknowledgment. Empress, you say? All we see is a fallen Emperor and his mouthy concubine who does not know her place.”
Anyone who knows Austin Ramsey knows that he does not tolerate disrespect of any kind when it comes to Todrick Tabor-Ramsey. He comes out of the corner with his eyes glossed over in anger. He makes it to the center of the ring, and Toddy stops him. She gingerly steps in the middle and puts a hand on his chest. She gently grabs his head and whispers into his ear. A sinister look begins to grow on his face, and as she is finished, he quietly backs himself up to their corner.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “You should’ve went with Cleopatra; she too was called a concubine, so let me show you exactly what a concubine can do with a motivated Emperor.”
Toddy hands the microphone to the referee and walks toward her corner. Austin’s face can barely contain the snarl, and his look is dripping with vitriol. She looks over at her opponents and whispers into his ear once more. He looks at her, and she nods yes. His entire demeanor changes as if he has been released from some invisible chains.
Toddy steps outside of the ring ropes, and Austin looks at her for confirmation again. She smiles sweetly at him and grabs his face. She whispers in his ear again and then kisses him on the lips. She releases him and ensures that she stares at her opponents and waves goodbye to them.
The bell rings, and Austin walks to the middle of the ring as the Starlight Express argues who is going to start this contest against Austin Ramsey. He stares at them and draws an invisible line in the ring with his foot. The crowd all gets behind Austin, which upsets the prideful team of the Starlight Express. Finally, the silent one of the team steps in and walks up to Austin, and slaps him squarely in the face. Austin takes the blow, snaps his head back, and looks at his opponent, challenging him to do it again, but harder this time.
This shakes his opponent's confidence as Austin gives him a creepy smile. Austin points to the side of his face and does not break eye contact. Toddy had released him from whatever chains that were usually in place when it came to Austin. That was dangerous when it came to this new Austin that wasn’t governed to the traditional rules that his various personalities had. Austin was like a wild Pokémon on the field that your Pokedex could not identify. He sneered at his opponent when he exhibited hesitation.
Austin Ramsey: “Hit me bitch; I want to show the world why it was a mistake when your mother didn’t swallow. That makes you mad, huh? Are you gonna cry, or are you gonna hit me? I’ll say worse if you don’t. It may be pride month, but no one in the community has pride when they look at you and your JoAnn’s fabrics dumpster trash that you used to make these hideous costumes. You two are about image, so I know that makes you mad. Now hit me, bitch!”
Tatum Jackson: “This is an Austin Ramsey that we have never seen. What has gotten into your father?”
Daniel Ramsey: “My Dad is tired of everyone coming for his marriage and also coming for The Show Stealerz. He wanted this tag team, worked hard to get it when Mom was at her peak, and they were created to be champions. No team will get in their way.”
Tatum Jackson: “Oh, how convenient. You accuse me of being one-sided when I call out Michelle Riggs on her bullshit regarding Paul Montuori, but I guess it’s all good when it's your adoptive parents.”
Daniel Ramsey: “You asked me a question, and I answered. I don't believe that it’s my fault that you didn’t like my answer. Michelle is the savior of this business, and it looks like my Mom has tapped into what her friend does best and used that to guide my Dad to greatness. Acknowledge it, Tatum.
Austin is met with a scramble to tag in the other partner. Mouth enters the ring, and that is whom Austin wanted all along. He called his wife a concubine, much like Ragnarök had called his wife a whore, and talked about physical looks. All Austin saw was the face of his opponent at War Games, and he rushed him. Austin buries his shoulder into his midsection like a football player and lifts him up; he transitions and cleanly sends him down into the mat with a cradle suplex. He hulks over his opponent, grabs him by the head, and pulls him to his feet. He grabs his face and mushes it into the corner.
Austin sneers as he begins repeatedly punching him in the face. The referee starts counting, and Austin stops at four to ensure he doesn’t get disqualified.
Tatum Jackson: “Oh, come on, how is that fair? He should’ve broken the count since he is such an honorable man, right?”
Daniel Ramsey: “What is your problem with my Dad?”
Tatum Jackson: “You paint Michelle as a saint but refuse to acknowledge when your Dad returns to his former roots. He wasn’t always liked, you know.”
Austin rushes his opponent for a shining wizard in the corner. He grabs his head and tosses him to the mat. He then hits him with a standing moonsault. Austin wastes no time and pulls him up to his feet and then blasts him to the face with a standing savante kick. He looks at Toddy, who blows him a kiss. He pulls his opponent up and takes him down with a Ramsey Special (belly-to-belly moonsault slam).
Austin looks at his downed opponent, and his eyes remain green and black, where they are usually all-black by this point. It truly signifies that he only has one driver on the train, and the other personalities are no longer there. He points to Todrick, and the crowd erupts with sounds that both Ramseys are used to when it comes to them, cheers. Austin drags his opponent over to the Ramsey corner, and Todrick tags herself in.
Toddy bounces her opponent’s head off the turnbuckle and places her opponent into the corner facing forward. Austin points at Todrick, who twerks for a few seconds before delivering dual superkicks to the head of their opponent. Austin immediately turns, rushes his opponent in the corner, and sends him to the floor with a sunset flip powerbomb, in the ring. Toddy pulls her opponent up for the Wig Snatch. She kicks him in the midsection, grabs his head, and pulls him into the DDT position. She raises her right hand into the air, and she moves her legs back and forth while swaying her hips, and plants him into the mat with a spike DDT. Toddy has had many great women wrestlers as inspiration during her career. Maryse was the inspiration for this one as she disrespectfully lays on top of her opponent and mushes his face as the referee, Bianca Williams, gets into position and counts. One…Two..Three!!!
Austin grabs the microphone and screams.
Austin Ramsey: “Wait…before you play our music. I got something to say.”
The crowd roars with approval. Toddy just got the pin in a very decisive victory. This is the tag team that they knew was championship material. After this, there was no doubt that The Ramseys would walk out as Tag Team Champions again. Any wrestling promoter that was worth their salt would acknowledge what the Ramseys were bringing now. This wasn’t the cookie-cutter mold anymore.
Austin Ramsey: “Before this match, my wife told you to listen to our lyrics; you are her Rockstars. I love that and all of you but don’t get confused when mine said that I’m on my own. I was on my own, and when my back was against the wall, I want all of you to watch me shine. That’s why it’s said twice, watch me, watch me shine now! WE mean us, and you, are gonna watch all these bitches fall. The change was needed because we are still here for you, but our opponents need to know we have tapped into what makes Emperors and Empresses. We needed to let all the princes, princesses, kings, and queens know that they are dealing with the house the Emperor and Empress built.
Ragnarök has had a lot to say lately about my wife and my Empress. He isn’t the first, and he won’t be the last. Don’t get mad because he was trying to take her to a place that she was in when she was questioning her transition. We have to make sure that we don’t get lost in those things; my wife was fine with his words because she has overcome them. She is more than capable of standing up for herself. My wife is a hero, and she is AMAZING. Are you all ready for a treat? We appreciate Dionysius for giving us a banger of a theme, but to show you all exactly where we are as a team and to shut up the haters, we found a way to have a theme that represents the lyrics one hundred percent. Now play our muthafucking music.
Daniel Ramsey: “Another reveal from The Show Stealerz, they aren’t playing with the masses. A new attitude and new dominance in the ring. They have a point to prove.”
Tatum Jackson: “Toddy certainly has a new hold on this version of Austin. Are they unstoppable now?”
Daniel Ramsey: “Call them what you will, Emperor and Empress, but Toddy has found a way to master Austin’s psyche as only she can. Good luck to anyone that has to face this team in the ring.”
To complete the new evolution of The Show Stealerz, their new joint theme plays. Austin’s new lyrics are on full display, but Toddy’s are mixed in, talking about how amazing she is. It is the perfect one for the two of them. The crowd shows their appreciation with the eruption of cheers as it plays.
Austin grabs his wife in the ring and raises her hand, which the crowd loves. When the music talks about amazing, she gives the crowd a full twerk, and they reward her with cheers as the words say, “Bring it to the floor.”
The two walk up the ramp hand in hand. They stop at the top and face the crowd, and Austin raises her hand in a dominant show of unison. The crowd cheers as the main event comes to an end.
The two enter the gorilla area and are met by Akasha Monroe, who hugs them both and thanks them profusely. This was going to be a great exhibition for PHW and WGWF. The Show Stealerz absolutely stole the show tonight. It was exactly what she knew they could do. They two make their way down the hall. There are a lot of fans and wrestlers who nod in respect toward the couple. They return it with grace and dignity. Tonight, worked the way they both wanted and walking into War Games; they had all the momentum they needed. Damage and Ragnarök absolutely had their work cut out for them in this tag team championship match.
The Show Stealerz was wholly connected to one another with three new dynamic themes and a singular belief. Who was going to check them? The Greek Gods had declared themselves gods and ruled a golden era, but the new Emperor and Empress had arrived, and they weren’t just aiming for today. They were aiming for tomorrow. Many teams had established themselves, including Mac and Bam, the mystery tag team who kept destroying their personal items, and the repeatedly failed Syndicate. Even the great Lexi Gold and Kim Pain had failed at their hands.
The opponents didn’t matter anymore, the Emperor and Empress had risen, and they were living large as they would continue to watch others fall down. The Show Stealerz stopped at the top of the ramp and faced the crowd. Toddy knew her touch would mold her husband, and she pulled him in for a triumphant kiss that sent the crowd into a frenzy. The theme said it all; she was amazing, and he would roar with a roar to destroy the pressure that held him against the wall.
The successful couple turned and faced the crowd, and Austin held her hand in the air with confident solidarity. The Show Stoppers were in for a rude awakening when they met this team that had just reintroduced themselves to the world in a massive way.
Daniel Ramsey: “Looks like we are all going to be bowing down to the new champs of the WGWF come War Games.”
Jackson Tatum: “For once, we may actually agree on something, Daniel. The Ramseys are not the same team they were in the past. Tonight they showed us a new attitude, and they declared themselves above royalty. I can’t wait to see what happens at our affiliate’s show, War Games. When we see the match of the night!
The two kiss and Toddy goes to wipe her lip gloss off of his lips, but he takes her hand in his.
🎵 “I'm on my Own
Against the wall
The pressure's building
But, no, I will never fall
Instead of crying
They hear me roar
And now I see that
I'm way better than before
I never needed you at all” 🎵
Austin has on white gear with his signature New York Yankees red baseball cap.
