“OUTCAST DESERVES TO BE IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY!”
Cholo is slammed against a wall and then lifted off the ground by what can only be described as the ghost of a man.
Cholo: Every… one.. *gasp* deserves… a… *wheeze* second chance…
“NOT HIM! HE’S A MURDERER!”
Cholo: and.. You are-
The ghost squeezes harder and Cholo begins to turn blue, his eyes starting to disappear behind his eyelids..
Cholo: Little… help… Unc-
Paco, who is currently curled up like a baby on the floor, finds some courage and digs into his pocket and pulls out a small flask… He gets to his feet, opens it and slowly approaches the ghost from behind and begins to sprinkle him with the clear liquid inside…
Paco: The power… of… Christ… compels-
But the ghost sends Paco flying across the room, slamming into the wall and falling down to the floor, knocked out.
Paco is busy packing a gym bag with very unusual items, a crucifix, garlic, a wooden stake, a flask with holy water and more. Cholo is standing by an open door, looking back and forth between his watch and Paco.
Cholo: Uncle, why are you packing all those things for? We’re not hunting vampires!
Paco: True, but Peter was very specific in his instructions… In order to break Outcast out of hell we need some personal items of his, and those items are going to be well protected… Who do you think is protecting those things? Simple men like you and me?
Cholo: I figured he meant like they’re going to be locked in a safe or the people who have those items may not be willing to let them go easily.
Paco: Peter sent us to get this very specific bible that was used on the day that Outcast got married… In a nondenominational church in Chicago! Those are the worst kind harboring all kinds of evil.
Cholo: Uncle, come on…
Paco: Think mi’jo, it’s an item that we need to break someone… OUT OF HELL. It’s unnatural, so you better believe that it will be protected by forces beyond our comprehension. So shut your face, go to my kitchen cabinet, get some candles, you know the ones, a few rosaries and we’ll be on our way.
Cholo: Good, cause we’re late already.
Cholo reluctantly goes and gets the items Paco needs.
Paco: By the way, are you wearing the silver necklace I gave you?
Cholo: Yes uncle.
Paco: Good, we’ll need it.
Cholo: We expecting werewolves too?
Paco: You’re right, we might! Bring your papi’s gun, those are silver bullets loaded in the chamber.
Cholo smacks his forehead as he goes to get the gun from Pacos office.
Paco: Hola there, are you Father Joshua?
Priest: No, I’m afraid he has gone for the evening. Was he expecting you?
Cholo: Yes, he was holding a bible for us.
Priest: A bible?
Paco: Yes, one that was used when a… friend of ours got married here back in 1995.
Priest: Ah well, well I have been a priest here for over thirty years, what are their names, maybe I remember them?
Cholo: Christian Cain and Nicole King.
Priest: Those names don’t ring any bells…
Paco: How about the name Outcast?
The priest becomes extremely uncomfortable all of the sudden.
Priest: Oh, um. Listen, I’m sorry, I can’t help you. Come see Father Joshua in the morning, goodnight!
The priest doesn’t even bother closing the door and he rushes inside. Paco and Cholo look at each other and then follow him. Inside the church it’s quite beautiful, there are large stained-glass windows with designs of different saints and patrons. The walls and ceilings are adorned with beautiful artwork and the chandeliers hanging definitely appear older than 1917. The marble floors cause the priest running steps to echo loudly throughout the church. Cholo catches up to him as they reach the table where they break bread, and turns him around, grabbing him by both arms. Paco catches up and holds up his index finger while he tries to catch his breath.
Cholo: Where is the bible father?!
Priest: No, please, I can’t. We swore to protect it, keep it hidden in case the day ever came.
Cholo: I’m sorry padre but that day has come, we need it!
Priest: Even if I show you where it is, it’s protected! You won’t be able to get it!
Cholo: Don’t worry about that, we came prepared. Look, I am not a violent person, and I definitely don’t want to sin by hurting a priest. But we are pressed for time, please father, where is the bible?
The priest reluctantly points to a confessional to the side of a high chair.
Priest: It’s in there. Go inside the confessional, on the priest’s side. Sit on the chair and feel for a button on the right arm rest. Press it and a door will reveal itself leading you to where the church’s most precious, and dangerous items are kept.
Cholo: Thank you! Let’s go uncle!
Priest: But be warned! We’re not responsible for what happens to you there.
Cholo and Paco exchange looks and then Cholo nods to the priest. They head over to the confessional, go inside, and it is bigger than what it appears from the outside. Cholo sits at the chair and sure enough he finds the button. He pushes it and the wall behind the chair slides open, revealing a set of stone steps spiraling down. Paco digs though his bag and takes out a stake and his brother’s gun. Cholo shakes his head and declines the crucifix and garlic Paco offers him. They head down the steps and after a few moments they arrive at a large room lit by torches. The room is indeed full of riches, lots of items dating back to who knows when, statues made of marble and other types of stones. Scrolls upon scrolls and all kinds of books, including bibles… It is here where Cholo and Paco go and begin to look through them. Paco looks behind him feeling cold suddenly as if someone was there with them.
Paco: You feel that mi’jo?
Cholo: No uncle, stop goofin’, help me find the-
But just as he grabs a bible with his right hand that looks very simple, nothing special about it, he reaches for his own throat with the left… and looks as if he’s trying to remove something from choking him.
Paco: Cholo?! You alright?! What’s-
But he doesn’t get to answer as the ghost of a man materializes in between them.
Paco: ¡Hay Dios Mio! ¡Un fantasma!
“YOU CAN’T HAVE THIS!”
Paco shoots it with the gun and nothing happens obviously and then he tries the stake but he goes right through the ghost and falls down to the floor. He begins to dust himself, as if he feels the ghost all over him and then goes into the fetal position, wanting no part of the ghost.
We catch up to the beginning of the story, where Cholo is nearly passing out when the ghostly voice of a female is heard.
“Let him go, Nelson. ”
The ghost turns to see the woman behind him, based on Paco’s picture, she is Nicole, the ex-wife of Outcast.
“NO NICKY! PLEASE DON’T…”
“Let him go and give them the bible, Christian deserves another chance. ”
“HE’S EVIL!”
“...and you’re not? Wouldn’t you want a second chance?”
The ghost looks up, not at the ceiling, he is clearly looking past it at the heavens above. He then looks down and closes his eyes, releasing Cholo who drops to the ground and begins breathing like crazy, trying to get as much air in his lungs as possible. Paco crawls his way over to him and tries to help him. The ghost of Nelson disappears but Nicole remains, grabbing the bible, opening it and taking out a picture that was in the middle of it. It is of her and Outcast on their wedding day. She smiles, and a tear falls down… She puts it back, closes it and kneels in front of Cholo who while still breathing heavily, is okay enough to sit up and look at the grayish woman in front of him.
“I know you are all doing this for a wrestling match, but there is so much more at stake. Take this, and save him, you’re right, everyone deserves a second chance.”
She hands him the bible and Cholo takes it, and no sooner than he has taken it, that she has disappeared. Paco and Cholo look at each other, confused, sure, but relieved more than anything else.
Outside of the church, Cholo and Paco sit at a bench, Paco is flipping through the bible while Cholo is in a conference call with the members of his team.
Cholo: Amigos, it wasn’t easy but we got the bible. We’ll ride to the airport in a few and head for Grand Junction.
Paco: Colorado?! Nah I ain’t going nowhere near Hell’s Gate.
Cholo: Looks like Cholo is flying solo fellas, he’ll see you soon.
Cholo ends the call and takes the bible from his uncle and then shakes his head at him as he walks away, heading for their car.
Paco: What?! Paco likes living!
Cholo is slammed against a wall and then lifted off the ground by what can only be described as the ghost of a man.

El Opening Shoot
Hola mi gente! Helluva a way to start, huh? But as our good friend Peter likes to say, “this time, it’s different”.
This time yours truly has teamed up with some amazing talent to join Peter’s team after he chose Cholo as the #1 pick! Wow, what an honor! Gracias Pedro, Cholo is truly humble by this gesture! Cholo wishes he could say this is nothing new to him, but the fact of the matter is that Cholo has never really been #1 in anyone’s eyes aside probably from his parents… How sad is that right? Regardless of pick, Cholo has always been known to shine and has earned his way to the top through hard work… He was ranked seventieth something in the QuagCup and he made it to the finals of that tournament…. Numbers are nothing but that, numbers… So, what changes now that he was the first one picked? Absolutely nothing… Cholo is going to show the whole world why Peter made the right choice, he is going to take our team’s flag and lead the charge, taking the good fight to Caedus’ band of misfits. Cholo knows that there is some great talent in that team, but when Cholo sees who is in his team, most of which are part of WGWF and not some random pieces from Jim’s past, well then it is very hard to not predict victory.
By now you know that Cholo tries to get along with everyone who’s name doesn’t sound eerily familiar to WGWF Dark superstar Milk Mayson. So, getting along with Mac Bane, Mark Flynn who Cholo is very familiar with, and Outcast, who Cholo didn’t have the pleasure of meeting while he was alive, won’t be a problem at all.
Mac Bane, Cholo has seen the path of destruction he has been leaving behind not only here in WGWF but everywhere he goes. Cholo got but a small taste of his power at the West Coast Rumble and that was enough to know the kind of man he is. He recently won a grueling tournament for the International championship in IIW. He is coming in on the hottest of streaks and that can only benefit our team.
Mark Flynn and Cholo fought last year, in a damn good fight which was part of the Cannabis Cup tournament… It was probably one of the toughest match of Cholo’s short career, and that is saying something considering Cholo had just defeated Thunder Knuckles in the round prior… Cholo wasn’t good enough to beat Flynn, and very few are, which is one of the reasons Peter has chosen him to be in our team.
Outcast, like Cholo said, he never met you, but Cholo does have a message he wanted to relay from Xavier Lux… Cholo just doesn’t express himself with that much hate and loathing for a person, honestly, Cholo was very uncomfortable reading Xavi’s note for you, so Cholo will just say the only line that matters: “he’s a rugged, tough son of a bitch with no quit in him.” To Cholo, that sounds like the kind of partner that not only we would want but need for our team.
Last but not definitely not least, our fearless leader… Most will say hated… Cholo says, misunderstood. Hang out on a cruise with the man and you will change your point of view, guaranteed. Peter is the current World Champion, he has defeated everyone that has been placed in front of him including Jim Caedus… As The Exiles, he and his team sent Apex packing into not only early retirement but likely a mental institution… and while this may not be Exiles vs. Apex part II… It is Team Vaughn vs. Team Caedus and the outcome will not change amigos… We will be victorious.

A few hours later.
Cholo and Paco are standing outside the front entrance of the Saint Clement church in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL. The building is not as old as it looks, built in the early 1900’s but the rustic style of it makes you think otherwise. They are standing at the bottom of the steps, and a service appears to have just ended, as a lot of people are exiting the building through the three large wooden doors. They wait until everyone has gone out, and the last person, an older priest who was giving everyone their fair-wells, begins closing the doors. When he gets to the last one, Cholo and Paco approach him.
Paco: Hola there, are you Father Joshua?
Priest: No, I’m afraid he has gone for the evening. Was he expecting you?

El Closing Shoot
Jim Caedus, Cholo got to tell you, he is not sure if you are mentally ready for this match… He just saw your breakdown in another promotion… carrying yourself around under a mask, feuding with a person you ended up falling in love with only to watch her get attacked and you be so distraught that you not only unmasked yourself, but you left that promotion? If seeing that affected you that much mentally, how can you be mentally prepared for this war against us?
But it didn’t start there, did it Jimbo? No senor, it all started a year ago when my amigo Pedro defeated you for the top championship of another promotion… You left at that time and whether it was predetermined that you were leaving or not and you just showed up to do your duty, the fact is that you have gone so far in your denial as to say that wasn’t even you? That somehow that was a doppelganger or something pretending to be you and you were stuck in… purgatory… You know, before this week, Cholo would have told you that is just crazy talk… But Cholo just fought a ghost for a bible of a man that has been dead for over a year just so we can break him out of hell for this match. So, your story may not be as farfetched as Cholo thinks it is, but still doesn’t make it true… You’re in denial and not being able to accept the truth:
That you just weren’t good enough to continue to carry on as World Champion and you used Peter as a way out…
That you weren’t strong enough to hang on to your wife and meet her needs…
That you weren’t man enough to be a father to your daughter.
That is why she is dead.
You’ll have to forgive Cholo Jim, he is normally not this dark but after what he has seen this week, it has put things into perspective. Cholo feels bad for you, he really does, you’ve lost a lot and at War Games, losing this match will only feel like piling on. You have got yourself a strong team, but a team is only strong as its leader, and you’re a mess… You’re not fit to be a leader… or to be in this match, period. Why don’t you do like Sky and give up your spot so an opportunist like Spencer Adams can take it? Give your team a proper chance at this match… They deserve it, and so do the fans.
Team Jim Caedus… how quickly this became Team WGWF vs. Team Outsiders didn’t it? Because make no mistake about it, Jim, Spencer, you may be ‘currently’ in this promotion, but when you look at your opponents, COMBINED none of you have been in this promotion as long as a single one of us has. You two are the new guys, the new blood, some will go as far as calling you ‘fresh meat’. Cholo is not one of those, you may be new here, but you are not new to the sport. He knows outside of this promotion you have won many titles and ten times as many matches…
All Cholo is trying to say is that this match feels like we’re the home team…. We have been here the longest, we have achieved the most and you are all just getting started, hoping to do a quarter of what we have done… Hombre, your three partners, will more than likely not stick around after this match regardless of the result… Lycana and Dolly are in other promotions where they are Super Stars... Robert “The Omega” Main, let’s face it, you probably had to dig him out like we had to dig out Outcast… He could have been in hell for all we know in a cell next to him…
The point is Team Caedus, you are temporary, you are not the long-term solution… You are not the mainstay players… We are…
We are The Harlem Globetrotters and you are The Washington Generals…
We eat, breathe and sleep WGWF…
WE ARE WGWF.
