We cut to a scene outside a park. The location does not get mentioned nor does it seem at all familiar, but nevertheless we see a group of mothers sitting together on a bench having a friendly conversation with each other while doing some crocheting. Far off in the distance, we hear the sounds of children giggling. Eventually, the sounds became louder as the children got closer. The camera pans over to see a group of children no younger, or older than nine years old being led by a blonde girl with pigtails, dressed in denim shorts, a regular t-shirt that read the words Lexi on the front and on her shoulder was a luxury bag which we'll assume is a young Lexi Gold.
She continues to lead these other children straight to the basketball court, talking in a loud tone of voice as she did. Once they reached that area, she took a seat on the side and decided she would paint her nails while she watched them shoot some balls into the goal. The friendliness among her friends didn't last long, as two of them started fighting over a ball. Young Lexi notices it and stands up, which causes her nail polish to spill onto the ground.
Young Lexi: “Hey, listen up, if we are going to play basketball, we are going to play fairly and not fight over the same ball as small children.”
Female Kid #1: “She started it. She knew this was my favorite ball and purposely wanted to take it from me to be mean. I don't think she is really our real friend anyway.”
Female Kid #2: “Liar!”
Young Lexi: “Will you two stop fighting already? This is ridiculous. Look, play with this one. They are all the same, so no reason to bicker.”
She grabs a ball that rolled on the left corner of where she is standing and throws one their way, one catches it and they resume playing right this time. She smiles and sits back down, retrieving her
Tamagotchi from her back pocket and decides to play around with it.
The scene quickly switches over to a view of a swing set, still at the same location. All three of them come running toward the swings, screaming as they do, before hopping on the swings and swinging away while having a discussion over who could swing higher. Everything seemed right with the world at that very moment, until a random kid who looked to be a bit older than them walked behind them and pushed Lexi off the swing for no reason, then kicked dirt in her hair while she was on the ground. He eventually ran off soon after. Her friends look on in distraught as they hop off their swings, and help her back up. She dusts the dirt off her and turns toward them.
Female Kid #2: “I don't know what that was about, but I hope you are okay.”
Young Lexi: “I am fine, don't worry..”
They embrace in a group hug before letting go.
Female Kid #1: “Looks to me like we are dealing with a bully in our hands. What do you think we should do about it? Tell his parents?”
Lexi sighs and crosses her arms, knowing she had to be the one who continued to set a good example for the two of them. She had an idea.
Young Lexi: “Come with me, I'm going to have a little talk with this bully and figure out why he did that. Now to figure out where he went.”
Female kid #1: “I see him look. He just went down that slide. Let's head over there.”
Lexi leads the way for them where the bully was playing as they followed behind. The bully notices them coming and a look of surprise is shown on his face. He stops what he is doing and walks toward them, and before you knew it, they were standing across from each other. Lexi put on a brave face, crossed her arms and began to speak to him.
Young Lexi: “Alright kid, why did you push me off the swing and then throw dirt on me?”
Bully: “Uh because I wanted to. I don't need any other reasons. Are you going to cry?”
Lexi shakes her head, not showing signs of being scared yet the same couldn't be said for her friends as they kept wanting to leave.
Young Lexi: “Me cry? Never. What you did to me was wrong. You could have easily hurt me had you pushed me harder. Still, I feel like you should apologize.”
The bully laughs obnoxiously and inches closer to her, getting in her face, which causes her to become irritated.
Bully: “I'm not apologizing to you or your stupid friends now leave me alone.”
Young Lexi: “One quick question before you go, how do you feel about ants?”
Bully: “Huh?”
She smirks and shoves him down the ground, which causes him to land on a big ant pile. The ants would then start to crawl all over him. He freaked out and tried to swat them away before screaming and running away. The girls laugh and high five each other as they continue to play. The screen fades to black.
The screen opens up again, and Finally we get the present day. We find Lexi Gold sitting in a room on a leather couch. Just recently, she got a call asking if she would be interested in doing her first wrestling seminar.
She agreed, so there she sat in silence, picking at her nails nervously while looking at the wall as she tried to decide what she would discuss with these students. It is an important day. No time for screw-ups. Once she figured out everything she got off from the couch, stood up and took a deep breath in before walking out the door, eventually finding herself walking out and seeing a group of students in chairs waiting while their eyes met hers. She waved them off, obviously trying to hide her nervousness, then stood in front of a smile on her face and began speaking to them for the first time in her life.
Lexi Gold: “Hello, I'm Lexi Gold.”
The camera zooms in on her face as she continues to smile, realizing this was easier than she thought it would be.
To be continued…
“I was stuck inside Goth's creation of mind games for months, and just when I thought they were over he would create more to haunt me with, causing me to develop some type of psychotic behavior as a result of it, then came WrestleWars. I knew heading into it, I had to get myself together. I was about to stand toe to toe with a man who personified evil and lack of a heart. Despite all this there was a reason why he has, or had accolades elsewhere. That was clearly showcased in our match, but I showed zero fear or a reason to quit, and when the dust was settled the big six-foot monster that caused torment fell at my feet, and I was able to secure that sweet victory needed to secure my sanity back.”
“As much as I would love to relive every moment of that, I need to focus on a different matter, another match that involves twelve other competitors vying for a chance to become team captain at War Games. It's no secret of mine that I have never been fitted for the captain's role from a wrestling standpoint. I was more of a 'you lead and I will follow' kinda woman, but I want to shatter my own expectations and do things that would never seem likely to have happened years ago.”
“I want to break that glass ceiling and prove that I have what it takes to lead a bunch of lunatics into a battlefield. In order to win with certainty, I must get back in that same mental frame of mind such as how I did against Goth and throw everything on the table in hope that it works in my favor. Everyone involved in this match is no walk in the park.”
“My work is definitely cut out for me, especially when it pertains to someone like Peter Vaughn, for example. He and I have never met before except for our interaction at last year's Thanksgiving party, and we bonded over our love for animals. As far as the competitive side of things are concerned, I always hear his name thrown out constantly and attached to it is a long list of accomplishments which means he lives up to the hype and not only that, but can run circles against anyone he faces in the ring. Don't let the mechanic lifestyle he lives fool you. Mister Vaughn, I work just as hard as you if not more, so when the time comes when we clash in the ring my performance will blow away everything you ever learned about me, and seen about me out of the water.”
“This leads me to someone who I respect and have seen so much progress from since he joined the company. I am talking about Cholo. I never thought I'd see him walk out from the dark side of things and change his life for the better. We have that in common. Not to mention I'd had the pleasure of sharing the ring with you, but that was then. This is now. I have improved so much since you and I battled it out, so while there is no animosity toward you, I'm not going to allow you to become my personal roadblock. Instead, I will map my way around whatever obstacles you use in my way and be one of the two left standing and cementing my name even further at War Games.”
“This leads me to a man who seems to generate hype no matter where he goes. I like to call him Chris Page's Golden Boy and the newest member of CCPE I might add. Jim Caedus. This match in particular is your grand debut and while you may gloat about it and sing your own praises, at the end of the day in my opinion you did not earn your way in this. You got inserted into this for whatever reason without lifting a finger, yet I've been climbing up the ladder, and busting my ass since day one here whereas you, you are given the shortcut to success and that does not sit well with me which is why removing you out of the equation is the only option. By doing so, perhaps it will embed into your head the meaning of starting at the bottom and working your way up.”
“I could continue running down the list of people involved with this match, but I feel like I would be wasting everyone's time along with my own by doing so. When the dust settles, I don't really care who is left standing in the chaos that was created for us, just as long as I secure that win spot. The crazy thing is some people may sweep it under the rug over the fact that I have been involved in a War Games match. Granted, it was outside the company, but the point I'm trying to make is I have that experience and toughness to do it all over again. It's just a matter of showing that my words will match my actions.”
“My history will repeat itself come Brawl. I may be opening the gates to hell whether it be on this show, or come War Games either way you look at it rest is not an option I'd like to take, surviving however is.”
She continues to lead these other children straight to the basketball court, talking in a loud tone of voice as she did.
