Queen’s Court Verdict
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey wakes up to her phone ringing. She slowly sits up and sees a camera already focused on her. This was one of the not-so-pleasant aspects of being a reality television star. The lines of what should be private were blurred, and if you did not share, you risked your status on the show. Currently, it was guaranteed that she and Austin had the spot right next to the host. Some of the castmates like to hate in the shadows, but what work were they really putting in? So, are they made at The Ramsey’s or their underwhelming performance?
Todrick looks at the phone and sees it is her husband making a FaceTime call. She smiles as she looks at the photo of them at their wedding, sharing their first kiss on her screen. It was this photo that sometimes saved him when he was in big trouble with her. She was not sure if he knew that, but she was never going to tell him. She joins the call. Her husband smiled brightly when he saw her face.
Austin Ramsey: “There she is. You have no idea how hard it was not to call you before now, but since it is seven in the morning in your time zone. I figured fuck it, Imma call. I couldn’t wait another minute to see you.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Austin, what are you doing up? You have not been feeling well, and you are managing the house and the twins, so I thought you would be exhausted.”
Austin Ramsey: “There will never be a night that I close my eyes that I don’t kiss your sleeping face or say good night to you before I sleep. It is what makes me sleep well at night. You and the boy and girl child are my world, wife.”
Todrick blushes and blows him a kiss. She could not imagine herself with another human on this planet. It was during moments like this that she truly understood the part of their promise to one another that stated until death, do you part.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Well, I appreciate that love and devotion, Austin. How are things at home?”
Austin Ramsey: “Berta has been keeping me focused. She has been balancing my schedule as you do. When I get off task, she doesn’t put up with it and makes me do whatever it is I’m supposed to be doing. She takes things out of my hands and then points to whatever it is I’m supposed to be doing.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I’m almost afraid to ask this, but have you been behaving? That includes outbursts and pouting.”
Austin’s face shows that he does not want to answer that question. He pretends to cough off-screen. He comes back into focus, and Toddy’s face is unmoved. He refuses to accept defeat and musters a sly smile.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Are you okay, my love?”
Austin grins, thinking he got one over on Toddy.
Austin Ramsey: “I’m great, Babe.”
Toddy nods and smiles at him; her eyes have a seductive tingle to them, and Austin lets his guard down even more. She knew how to pick her spots before she went in for the kill.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Great, that means you can answer the question. Or should I call Berta?”
By now, Austin should have learned how to hide his panic, but alas, this was not so, and it flashed all over his face. He looked over at the twins, who were fast asleep and could not save him. The dogs were traitors these days, especially Domino, who wasn’t taking not being Daddy’s number one anymore well. Domino had clearly switched sides, and Toddy knew how to exploit that.
Austin Ramsey: “If I say, promise you won’t get mad?”
Todrick closes her eyes; she wants to shake her head, but she can hear the panic in her husband’s voice, which will undoubtedly lead to how it was not his fault. She knew if she pushed him into survival mode so she would not be mad at him, that might not go well after they hung up. One of Austin’s personalities would try to pick a fight with Berta, and she didn’t need her husband laid up concussed before WrestleWars 8.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I reserve my right to judgment if you are completely honest with me.”
Austin’s brow furrows, and you can visibly see that all the personalities in the underground are scrambling on how to deal with this. They also had the rules about Toddy to navigate, which made things difficult. They knew that Toddy knew when drivers switched places on the train, and there was no hiding it right now. The only saving grace was that he did not attempt to argue with her. The don’t lie to Toddy rule was problematic, but it was a core commandment for all of the Austins.
Austin Ramsey: “She keeps making me watch things about Paul Montuori, and I keep telling her that I know all about Paul. She picks out matches and promos for me to watch and has them set up. I try to deviate, and she won’t let me. I know that she is a part of the family now, but she won’t let me have any fun. It is work at the gym training clients, food, time with the twins, a mandatory nap, then wrestling study, and finally, a push out of the door to go to work at Velvet Rabbit Las Vegas. I know she is doing all the things you do, but she isn’t my wife. Does that make sense?”
Todrick nods as she knows exactly how to handle him in these situations. She continues to nod as she sees him frantically searching her eyes. He desperately does not want to get into trouble.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Berta knows what it takes to keep you on target, my love. It’s a skill that we women possess. She knows she has my trust to be my complete proxy when I’m away. Truth be told, that’s why I’m not at home because I had someone that I trust to run our house alongside of you.”
Austin’s face lights up.
Austin Ramsey: “Alongside? So, you do trust me to run the house without you here?”
Usually, production would force a confessional here, but Toddy refused and made the scene continue.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Yes, Austin, I trust you to be at home alone with our children; you would die before you let anything happen to them. You just need a little help keeping on your schedule, that’s all. To me, you are husband and father of the year. I do trust you, my love. Here’s how much I trust you; if I ever had to lip-synch for my life, I’d trust you to run production. People that know the intensity of RuPaul’s Drag Race will understand that one.”
Austin Ramsey: “You are only saying that because we know there would never be a situation where you would have to lip-synch for your life. Unlike our opponents at WrestleWars 8, this is Paulie’s lip-synch, and he knows it. I just don’t think he knows the right words to this song.”
Austin gets up and checks on the sleeping twins and then gets back into the bed and takes a drag off of his prescribed weed pen. He blows his smoke into a jar and immediately bottles it, so Dominic and Diana are not affected.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “In the words of Mariah Carey, in her latest EP, it’s a wrap for that boy. I know that we are friends, but I’m not willing to sacrifice the tag team titles over that.”
Diana wakes up and starts crying. Austin gets up and picks her up. Twins are always in synch, and Dominic refuses to miss out on Dad's time, and he wakes up, and his father knows to pick him up as well. Austin climbs back into bed with them. Toddy’s heart melts as she sees the twins. A knock at the door is heard on Toddy’s end.”
Akasha Monroe walks into the room and plops down on the bed.
Akasha Monroe: “Hey, brother-in-law.”
Austin Ramsey: “We don’t say in-law in this family unless we are talking about Chatman. So, hi, sister. Also, can you pick out a wedding ring so my wife can come home, please?”
Akasha Monroe: “I am living my best life, and this actually works out for both of you because you can do that drill sergeant thing you do about y’all’s matches. You need to be studying all things, Paul Montuori. Most importantly, you have been in this business for a while, so you need to figure out who this mystery opponent is. It sounds like something you should put the entire underground on.”
Austin could not deny her words of wisdom. Movement in the underground picked up at a rapid pace.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “We cannot take on a Montuori with something to prove without a game plan. He is coming for the house that we built. What does he have to lose in WGWF if he loses yet another big-ticket match?’
Akasha Monroe: “I can say, as an owner of a wrestling company that hired him, Paul is a main eventer and one that brings credibility to a title. You two have your work cut out for you, especially after what you said on the last WGWG Monday Night Brawl. His ego won’t allow that to go unanswered; you both poked the bear. But Toddy, girl, you were in a rare form, and he would never expect that from his friend. This is not a fight between you and Michelle where we girls know we say vile shit, this is a male that you are friends with who is not privy to the girl code.”
Austin Ramsey: “I’m not privy to that code either, but I am watching and taking notes. Paul hates Joe, but me and Joe are close, I plan to use that to my advantage. Paul will get upset and make a mistake. Then, it will be a wrap.”
Sticking to her no-confessional rule, Toddy looks at the camera and takes control of the scene.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Since the cameras are recording. Paul, it’s a wrap for you good. I am not acquiescent when I tell you that I am not backing down when it comes to this match. I am the definition of confidence. We are friends, but I am the boss right night. This is absolutely my game, and I am coming to play. You are facing the bitch the runs this show. I’m sure you have had me underrated, and that is your first of many mistakes. Our friendship means the world to me outside of the ring, but it won’t be a factor in my mind during our match.
I get it; you think this is your time after your loss in multiple companies, and maybe it’s just time to accept that you are actually the king of mid-carders. A contender that was never meant to be a champion. Everyone can not be that girl or that boy, and there is nothing wrong with that when you break it all down. You are good entertainment, and that shows. I won’t sit here and pretend that is not a fact. But you are an attraction, and we know those come and go.
As an attraction, and anyone that has been to an amusement park, knows that when the ride is up and going, it brings joy to the masses, but when it needs service, it is shut down, and the world around it goes on. The ride is still talked about, but it is not relevant to ticket sales and attractions. That sums you up when I think about you. You are on a ticket that if the Show Stealerz were not on, it wouldn’t matter. Who is checking for you right now, boo?
Congratulations, you just had a baby, and I love you and Michelle, but your only accomplishment to date in this business is that your dick works. There are plenty of dicks in this business, so what makes yours special? What give you the “wow” factor that people should care about you in a match with us? I’m serious; why should people care about you and someone else that has not earned their way into the legacy that me and Austin built?
You found a masked person to come in, but you found a person that showed the spotlight should not be on you, much like you did in the Intercontinental Championship tournament. Has the great Paul Montuori been reduced to throwing shit on the wall and hoping it sticks? That’s not the Paul I remember and not the one that the audience deserves. You are practically selling what Joe is saying about him being the better Montuori. Get your shit together, Paul!
As you can see, I refuse to sit here and be the Beyonce’ of the group and be expected to sell you as the Michelle that didn’t get kicked out of the group. Fix it, or bow out, Paul.”
Austin’s eyes go wide as his wife finishes speaking, and Akasha is also seen cheering her friend on.
Austin Ramsey: “Well shit, wifey said a mouthful, didn’t she, Rockstars? Look, Paul, I get that you are just going to stumble your way around every division and props to you for looking for ways to remain relevant. I just don’t like that shit in my division. You know that you have never been that guy, never will be that guy, and that stings. Look, you can wrestle, but maybe the hardcore division is for you, where you can use weapons to turn the tide of your matches. The tag team division is purely about wrestling. You got someone in a mask, and that’s cool, but our match isn’t Halloween, my guy, masks are played out and weak. I am disappointed that you relegated yourself to a cliché. That is not the Paul Montuori that I faced for the Heavyweight Championship before Outlaw Pro Wrestling closed its doors. We had a major match, and I am appalled that you had the nerve and audacity to try to phone it in for a major championship match.
Fuck you for not finding a proper partner and making this match a classic. The mystery partner is played out, and it solidifies why the cousin and not the brother are worthy of the Montuori name. Paul, at this point, the real question is, are you still worthy of using the name and enjoying the benefits that come with it? What was your last greatest accomplishment? Go ahead, boys and girls, take a moment to contemplate on it. From where I stand, you fell off in 2019, bitch.
Michelle is the one that carries you, but Agatha had to have a baby, and it shows because you fell off in 2022, bitch. Why does Paul always have to have a partner or manager to get the masses talking? Why can’t Paul stand on his own two feet? I want to know how it feels not to have my wife accelerate your career during this match. I’m over here singing that Finally song that Akasha put out last year. Paul is about to be exposed for who and what he is.
Austin is the boss that she needs, and I am going to bring that back and show her that I’m her anchor. What do you have, Paul? Another bitch that steals your focus? No one is checking for the lesser Mont anymore.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “It sounds like the Queen’s Court has ruled, and the verdict is final.”

The Formal
Austin is fussing over his bow tie as Todrick slaps his hand away. He was in a tuxedo with a red jacket and black pants, his shirt was black, and his bow tie was his favorite color, red. Todrick stood beside him in a red floor-length plunge split-sleeve with a mermaid hem sequin gown. Both looked stunning, and by now, they were used to the MIL cameras that were following their every move and documenting their lives. They were heading to a charity fundraiser to help raise awareness for cancer in children being hosted by Alexis Hunter.
Austin Ramsey: “It’s too tight, and these clothes are itchy.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Austin! Stop fidgeting; I swear if you mess up that bow tie and it took me thirty minutes to get it right, I will hurt you.”
Austin pouts, and Todrick rolls her eyes. She hands him his weed pen, and he takes a hit. He mellows out a little bit, and she walks over to the bar and fixes them both a drink. Austin looks at her with love and adoration in his eyes.
“I really am a lucky man. I have lived a pretty shitty life up until this point, so I don’t understand how I got so lucky at this junction of my fucked-up life. I mean, look at her; she is the epitome of class, dignity, beauty, and grace, and somehow, she ended up with me. This is the person that I am going to spend the rest of my life with, and we share children. Dare I say it, but are we living the fucking American dream? We even have dogs and a fence.” Austin thinks to himself.
Lost in his thoughts, Toddy touches him on the shoulder and hands him a drink. The two toast and sip their drinks. Berta comes downstairs, and the couple smiles at her. She nods at them and tells them to have a good evening.
Austin Ramsey: “Babe, you look amazing. I mean, you always do, but tonight I want to do all the things Beyonce’ sang about in that Partition song when we get in the limo.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “You better behave. Also, you are not slick, and you are staying in that bow tie.”
The two laugh as the doorbell rings. The couple sets their drinks down, and Toddy grabs her clutch. The limo driver has the door open and tips his hat as Todrick is helped into the limo by Austin. Once inside, Austin pops the chilled champagne open and pours them both a glass.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Babe, can you believe how far our wrestling careers have come in the last year?”
Austin Ramsey: “It’s been one hell of a ride for sure. We definitely have been at the top of our game for quite some time, and everyone knows it.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “It really has, we won tag team championships twice, and now we are in the Proud House Wrestling main event. Are we about to lay the foundation for the tag team division in yet another company?”
TODDY CONFESSIONAL
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Honey, I am over the moon that we were in the main event at the Proud House Wrestling Luck or March Madness Showcase. This has been one hell of a journey, and here we are in yet another company where we will carry the tag team division on our backs.”
The scene cuts back to the limo.
Austin Ramsey: “Maybe, but one thing is for sure, I’m having a bit of nostalgia for this match. We gotta beat the brakes off of Paul Montuori and his mystery bitch.”
AUSTIN CONFESSIONAL
Austin Ramsey: “Yo, I gotta be real careful with the next words out of my mouth. Paul set up some good closet party activities. This was a good time for us that turned really bad because of my bad behavior. I am definitely getting some tonight, but I won’t if this goes left.”
Back in the limo, Todrick nods, and Austin can see her deep in thought, so he quickly leans over and kisses her.
AUSTIN CONFESSIONAL
Austin points to his head, signaling that he is smart.
In the limo, Todrick wipes lipstick off of his lips.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “That was a long time ago, and we are all very different people now. Paul has been out of action between companies, and I’m sure that he has something to prove to himself and the world. There is also the issue of this masked figure wanting to impress management because they feel like they are owed a shot our titles.
Austin Ramsey: “I don’t know why he feels like he is owed something, we were the tag team champions, and we damn sure didn’t get anything for free.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Babe, I know it’s a huge deal, but Paul has been through so much in his career and in his life that I understand why he feels like he is owed something. The most important thing is that he is willing to work for it, so it’s not like he is asking for a handout.”
Austin Ramsey: “Babe, I know how much you love Paul and Michelle, but you know that our main objective is to go out there and win at all costs. We also have something to prove in this company. It’s still us against the world, baby.
AUSTIN CONFESSIONAL
Austin Ramsey: “Look, I have the utmost faith in my wife and her abilities in and out of the ring, but I also want to keep drilling it into her head that the friendship takes a pause between the bell that starts the match, and the bell that ends the match. She has what it takes, and she has proven that time and time again, but that is what makes us good together; I keep her focused in the ring, and she keeps me focused outside of it. The perfect pair.”
The limo pulls up to the venue, and Todrick grabs Austin’s face.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I know, my love. My eye is on the prize, and I promise you that I am completely focused.”
She kisses him as the door to the limo is opened, and she steps out to cameras flashing and people calling her name. Austin steps out beside her, and the two walk to the designated photo area on the red carpet. They were in their element and clearly stealing the show.

The Next Day
The next morning, the two wake up, and Austin forces Todrick to get out of bed to work out. They check on the twins, who are fast asleep. They head downstairs to their home gym and work out for an hour. The couple sits in silence as they see the film crew come in for the morning.
AUSTIN CONFESSIONAL
Austin Ramsey: “Truth be told, this is more of Toddy’s thing with the reality shows, but I support her with any project that she embarks upon and wants me to be a part of, but sometimes I just want to spend some alone time with her. So I cherish the moments when we are between shows, and it is just us. Well, now, us and the twins, I guess.”
The scene cuts to both of them dressed and sitting on the bed.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “We have exposed every angle, every truth, and we are going to be successful. Paul hasn’t been interested in this match, and it shows. Who cares if he has a mystery partner? He has demonstrated that Team Bitch has gathered another member. A real man, would make a challenge that the fans cared about. The only reason people care about this match is us in the booking. The WGWF tag team titles are safe on our arms. Paul has proved that he can’t sit with us.”
Austin Ramsey: “He doesn’t even go here!”
The scene comes to a close.
