The reason for Ace's lack of being a world champion is because he just can't commit to being an asshole. Whenever he's his most cocky self is when he's the most successful, especially with championship gold. However, Ace was raised to be quite modest and humble, and pro wrestling federations are tough backstage for the equal partnership of your ego and confidence, you have to be respectful, humble but you can't let people walk all over you either. Be good at what you do, that is why you are a member of the roster, that's why you are in this locker room. Ace has a built up a fantastic reputation, he never had dreams of gradeur to be a big star in wrestling, his pipedream was Japan and got to wrestle there in his early 20's, achieve that.
By 25 when he was 10 years in professionally, in 2008 things went south due to minor but nagging injuries and mainstream wrestling federations desiring to market Ace incorrectly to who/ how he is as a person. Sure on paper and visually it seems like he could pull off white meat, superhero type. The type of guy a girl can bring home and impress her parents, he was that guy in a way but he was also the guy who would smoke weed with that girl and talk about the universe and spirituality with. Ace has fought against himself for years as his toughest and worst enemy. Sabatoges himself due to his lack of evil ego and his obsession as a workaholic in every aspect of his life. Ace is the epitome of discipline, through all facets of life- physically, intellectually, spiritually/philosophically. That mentally and emotionally he lacks and must cure himself and hinder himself with marijuana, THC and psychedelics and as a heterosexual-swinger in his personal life, he's a binary of a person to his core- heard-headed determination and quite hedonistic. easy going but spirited and emotional too. That's why his obsession with pro wrestling is fruitful in a mainstream amount of success, it is paramount to himself that he live as he is born to be an elite craftsman recognized among his contemporizes with a controlled-chaoticity. A consistent, vibrant versatile dynamic dynamo between the ropes for 2 decades.
Ace Sky is self-made and self-sabotaging, how will he end up against a fellow cruiserweight, a janitorial super junior Peter Vaughn.
Pristine and polished in both professions. Ace and Peter are two incredibly iconic iconoclasts of the industry who fight the hard fight against the stupid stereotypes and tropes.
