Another day of filming for The LIFE NY was underway in the Ramsey house. Todrick is dressed in cut-off denim daisy dukes and wearing one of Austin’s hoodies. He was at work, and it smelt like him. It made it feel like he was right there with her. He was, of course, at the gym training a client. With their schedules lately and the twins being born, neither of them knew how much longer he’d be able to continue that job. Money was nice, but it wasn’t everything, and he had worked hard to ensure his family lived comfortably.
Austin was finishing up with a client at the local gym. He was in a hurry to get home to his wife and children. Sam Chatman was staying with them as it was the weekend, and he wasn’t so thrilled about that. He finishes the workout session and gives them their weekly meal plan and says goodbye. He rushes to the locker room to shower.
Austin Ramsey: “I can’t wait to get home. I want to spend some time with my babies and hopefully make sexy time with my wife before I head off to the Velvet Rabbit tonight. It’s been a minute, and you know I have needs.”
Austin turns off the water and heads back to his locker to get dressed. He sends Toddy a text letting her know that he is on his way home. He leaves the gym and drives home. Austin walks into the house, and it is quiet downstairs. He can hear Aaliyah’s One In A Million playing upstairs, and he follows the music. He didn’t get his hopes up, but he wished that his wife had a special surprise awaiting him.
He walks into the bedroom and can smell the perfume he likes. He sets his stuff down. He takes off his shoes and plops down on the bed. Toddy slowly walks out of her closet. Austin is playing on his phone, but he lights up when he sees her. Then he realizes what is about to happen and instantly reaches to take off his tank top. Toddy holds up a finger for him to stop. Austin obeys without hesitation. His face looks like it does on Christmas morning when he is opening his gifts. She slowly saunters over to him and takes off his socks. She stands and unties the belt on her robe. Austin tries to reach up to touch her, but she holds up her finger yet again. He is obedient and lays back. She pulls his tank top off, pours oil on her hands, and massages his chest and arms. He is in a state of euphoria. She massages his stomach, careful to trace his abs. The robe slips off her shoulders, and Austin is growing with excitement. She goes to pull at his shorts when the door opens, and Samuel Chatman walks in, looking at his phone.
Samuel Chatman: “Hey, do you two know that your tag team championship match in WGWF was changed? You are now facing Zara Ivory and Atara Themis.”
Todrick shrieks and runs into her closet, and shuts the door. Austin looks pissed.
Austin Ramsey: “What the fuck, man! I know he did that shit on purpose.”
The scene cuts back to the bedroom.
Austin Ramsey: “Yo, Chatman, that’s nice and everything, but can you get the fuck out? We were in the middle of something.”
Sam looks up with a fake shocked look on his face.
Samuel Chatman: “Eww, gross. Why wasn’t the fucking door locked?”
Austin Ramsey: “Because it’s my house, and this is my room, and who just walks into someone’s bedroom? But besides all that, can you please leave? I’d like to get back to what I was doing.”
Todrick comes out of her closet in sweats and socks. Austin looks at her and sighs. Sam stifles a grin and exits the room before Austin can throw something at him.
Austin Ramsey: “Babe, no, he’s gone. C’mon, we can get back in the groove.”
Austin’s face looks so sad; he looks like someone just kicked his puppy.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I’m sorry, honey, that ship has sailed.”
Austin Ramsey: “That ship has sailed? Dafuq? I’ll fucking kill him. I haven’t had sex in a week, Chatman is a dead man walking.
Todrick gets into the bed and puts her head on Austin’s chest. He is so angry that he wants to move and let her head fall, but he knows better. He catches himself and puts his arm around her.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I know you are upset, my love. We have been preparing to face Zara and Emily on Monday, and all that has changed instantly. We need to refocus.”
Austin doesn’t say anything; he quietly grunts. She can feel the heat coming off of him, and she knows he is angrier than he is letting on. It was one of the things that she loved about him. He always put her first in every situation. She wanted him to express himself in healthy ways, but this was probably one of those moments that he could not. Todrick scoots closer to him and snuggles, putting her leg across him as she gently traced the tattoos on his chest with her fingernail.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Babe, you know we prepared for Zara, but we have a resident Atara expert in the house that has faced her several times in the ring. He could give us some insight into what we can expect from her. You think we can go talk to him?”
Austin Ramsey: “So I’m supposed to go sit in his fucking face and civilly converse with that jackass like he didn’t just cock block the fuck outta me? I need to smoke for this shit. I know what she is doing right now. I should call her fucking bluff; I thought the sexy time ship had sailed. Tuh!”
Austin rolls his eyes, and it cuts back to Todrick and Austin. He abruptly stands up and silently walks to the door and opens it. He turns to look at Todrick as if to say hurry up.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “That could have gone worse. I’ll take it.”
Todrick slides off the bed. She walks past Austin and goes to kiss him on the cheek. He resists the urge to pull away. Usually, he would kiss her back, but he made no such move this time. The two walk downstairs, where Sam is holding the twins as Whitney is giving them the latest gossip at their tea party. Austin goes into the kitchen and pours himself a drink. He refuses to smoke around the twins or even smell like it when he is near them. Toddy smiles and sits down next to Sam.
Samuel Chatman: “Welcome to the tea party. What’s his problem?”
Sam motions toward Austin, who is sitting in a chair opposite them. Austin is glaring daggers at Sam, and his face is visibly turning red. He had brought the bottle with him, and he poured another drink. Toddy looks at him and wags her finger back and forth as she clicks her tongue.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Don’t do that, Samuel. You know he is a ticking timebomb right now. Just let him be.”
Sam shrugs and turns his attention back to the twins and his daughter.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Sam, we were wondering if you could tell us some things we can expect from Atara when we face her on Monday.”
Sam looks over at Austin, who is still silently staring at him with hatred in his now dark eyes; his green eyes are no longer present.
Samuel Chatman: “I want to hear him say that he wants to know.”
Austin sets his glass on the table beside him and stands up. He cracks his knuckles and starts walking toward Sam. Todrick quickly stands up and tries to get in between the two. Sam continues to sit on the couch, and Austin gently brushes past Todrick. He gets into Sam’s personal space. His voice comes out in a low menacing growl.
Austin Ramsey: “Austin would like to know about Atara in the ring.”
Austin leans in close and whispers in Sam’s ear.
Austin Ramsey: “You won’t be holding my children forever, and she won’t always be around, Chatman.”
Austin stands up, turns around, sits back down, and picks up his drink. Sam snickers at Austin’s menacing words and tone.
Samuel Chatman: “I don’t think Austin likes me much right now, Toddy. I don’t know how much I want to share with someone who has so much hostility toward me right now.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Can you two please do this…whatever this is later? I just want to prepare, and we don’t have a lot of time to do so.
Sam looks at Austin with a smirk and wants to continue to push his button, but then he looks at Todrick’s face. She knew how to be kind or sexy but mean as well. She could look at you and make you straighten up. He sighs.
Samuel Chatman: “Well, she knows what she is doing in the ring. She will take every opportunity to capitalize on any mistakes that the two of you make. She likes to try to lure you into situations where she can trap you between the ring and the ring skirt. Your timing is going to have to be solid. That means Mighty Mouse over there is going to have to control his temper.”
Austin grips the glass so hard that his knuckles turn red.
Austin Ramsey: “I’m 5’11, you…
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Gentlemen, focus, please.”
Samuel Chatman: “My bad, old habits. Zara’s got something to prove, and Atara just wants to be seen. Anyway, she will use any opportunity to blast you with the Judgment In Paris; that knee strike is nothing nice, and I’ve seen it topple the toughest this business has to offer. I don’t know how well she will perform in a team setting, but you two should take advantage of them not knowing one another and work that to knock them off. That’s all I really got for you, be careful; this will not be a cakewalk.”
Austin snorts, stands up, and walks outside to smoke. Austin walks out into the backyard and takes a long drag off of his weed pen. He turns and looks at one of the producers and hits the live button on his social media.
Austin Ramsey: “The moment has finally arrived, and it’s time for me and Toddy to defend the WGWF Tag Team Championships against Zara Ivory and Atara Themis. I don’t know and really don’t care what happened to Emily Simms. She didn’t have what it takes to go the distance, so they subbed her ass out. No skin off my teeth, except, it chaps my ass that the opportunity was given to Atara Themis.
What has she really done in the WGWF besides making kissy faces at her husband? I’m not saying he gave her an advantage because if he did, it was for nothing. I get being in love, and it’s clear those two are, but they act like they are the only two in the world when they are around groups of people, and that shit is annoying. It makes it hard to focus on if she is talking to Austin or in her private conversation with James.
What Austin won’t have trouble focusing on is when we step into that ring, and on the off chance, we face each other. She may have intense matches, but so do I. That’s what we are paid to do, so if she didn’t, it would really prove my point that she doesn’t deserve the opportunity that has been laid in her lap. Yes, “Doves,” she didn’t do shit to earn this opportunity. It sucks for Zara Ivory, but at least she’ll live on to challenge us another day.
If you think Atara is out there to share the spotlight with you, Zara, you might want to reevaluate what you are doing in this business. You’ve seen what she is about, so don’t expect to get any shine in this match. You are the afterthought; you are the odd woman out. Atara thinks this is all about her, and mark my words, she won’t work well with you. I’m sure Toddy is somewhere right now telling you what you already know, we are a well-oiled machine that has our timing down and that we don’t even have to speak to one another to make magic in that ring, and yes, that’s all true, but that makes us dangerous.
Zara, you probably take the threat that is The Show Stealerz seriously, but Atara’s arrogance won’t allow her to, and that will be the undoing of you both. You don’t have to respect me to get your ass beat by me. Respect won’t do shit for me, so keep it. I like it when people hate me, it causes you to make mistakes. Your respect doesn’t pay my bills, that check with that stipend I get as a champion does. I got a family, and you ain’t coming between me and my coins. You got 28 Austins with one goal in mind to go out there, beat you, and show Chris Page and James Raven why they fucked up not booking a championship match as their main event.
Yeah, I feel some kind of way about that, a qualifier match over a title defense, you fucking serious? Your audience has shown you the pull that we have, and you would deny them of seeing us close out the show? It’s not like you two don’t know that we can do it, so what gives? I bet if Atara was originally booked, it would’ve been in the main event, but whatever. We are going to put on a match that is worthy of an opening or closing Brawl. Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it. I’m about getting it done, so I’m done talking. Peace. ”
Austin was finishing up with a client at the local gym. He was in a hurry to get home to his wife and children. Sam Chatman was staying with them as it was the weekend, and he wasn’t so thrilled about that. He finishes the workout session and gives them their weekly meal plan and says goodbye.
