The fiery sun shines brightly over a British Tea shop in Las Vegas Nevada, Charles Beckett sits in the corner of the inside of the shop by himself dressed in a stylish business suit as he reads some British literature and sips on some Tea with his one pinky sticking out. Beckett checks his pocket watch and then looks at the door with a frown.
Charles: Sir Miller does not respect being on time I see.
Charles taps his foot on the concrete floor as his impatience grows and then the bell door sounds and the oak wood door opens up and in walks Bam Miller wearing his usual outfit which consists of a black t-shirt with a black leather jacket on top with blue rugged jeans and black biker boots on his feet. He puffs on a cigarette and looks around for a moment as he takes the scenery in and then makes a disgusted facial expression.
Bam: I can't believe that British son of a bitch got me in a tea spot of all places.
Charles waves to get Bams attention and motions him over as he pushes a chair out for him. Bam nods his head as he continues to puff on the cigarette as he takes a seat.
Charles: Well glad to see you finally were able to make it here but would've been better if you were on time! Being late is so disrespectful don't you know and where is the suit I had made for you?
Bam rolls his eyes as he's obviously annoyed by the questions as he puffs on the cigarette again.
Bam: Calm your Chips and biscuits mate, I had a flat tire this morning give me a break for once would ya and that suit was nowhere near my style.
Bam blows the smoke out intot he air and as the nicotine smell spreads customers begin to point and look annoyed at him. Charles takes notice and snatches the cigarette out of his mouth and puts it out in someone else's Teacup as they walk by and gives them a few dollars for the trouble.
Charles: Show so damn respect in this establishment, I know you saw the damn no smoking sign on the door.
Bam shrugs his shoulders.
Bam: Guess it wasn't big enough to read but anyways let's get down to business where is this local wrestling media guy at?
Charles takes his time to answer as he sips on his tea.
Bam Miller: Well?
Charles sits his tea cup back down.
Charles: Hold on I'm just collecting my time back that I wasted waiting on you.
Bam throws his arms up in the air and looks annoyed at Beckett.
Bam: You really are a petty little British fucker!
Charles looks at Bam with anger in his eyes as he bangs his fist down on the table loudly and it draws the attention of some of the customers and cashier.
Charles: Now see here sir Bam, I have been patient with your attitude and lack of respect for me! You may not like that Page has trusted me with you and your career and I understand why but what you will not do is keep disrespecting me while thinking I owe you respect. This is a two way street and the only way this partnership works is if you buy into what I'm selling and after the advice I gave you a few weeks ago on Brawl that led you to victory over Millie Monroe I would think you are all in by now.
Bam sighs as he looks away for a moment as he gathers the thoughts in his head and taps the concrete floor with his right foot repeatedly before turning his attention back to Beckett.
Bam: My bad, you're right I've been a little unfair to you since we met and I know you just want to make me better as a pro wrestler but change just isn't easy for me, hell I've been struggling from getting away from old habits but your advice you've been given me hasn't fallen on deaf ears.
Charles nods his head.
Charles: Very good lad, I'm glad to hear you take some lessons from me but enough about all that. While we wait for the reporter how about you tell me about what's been going on in your personal life, any distractions I should be aware of? Maybe a lady friend?
Bam looks at Beckett funny.
Bam: Now why would you want to know all that and plus I'm not an open book like that Beckett. I just don't spill my soul to anyone.
Charles: Because it's my duty to make sure you are focused on your wrestling career and making sure you can balance professional and personal.
Bam let's out a sigh.
Bam: Listen I don't really have much going on outside of wrestling to be honest. I mean my sister just had a baby girl…
Charles spits out his tea on the floor and the Cashier at the counter looks like he just died on the inside.
Charles: You have a bloody sister and niece now and that's not a distraction to you?
Bam shakes his head.
Bam: Listen, the situation with my sister is complicated and plus I haven't even see them since she gave birth.
Charles: Why is that? Surely you would want to see the only family you really have?
Bam: Look it's nothing against Ashley but like you said I'm trying to stay focused on what is important to me right now and if focusing on my career right now makes me a bad guy then so be it. You of all people know how important these next couple weeks are for me.
Bam pauses for a moment
I've got a career making match on November 27th at XWF Bad Medicine when I team with Chris Page to go up against Theo Pryce and that son of a bitch Jason Cashe! I need that win as bad as I need that win against Emily Simms on Brawl because I desperately need to advance To the Television Championship match and not only because it's been so damn long since I've held Championship gold but because I went on Dark with you and told the world I was on a mission to be the inaugural WGWF Television Champion and if I don't deliver on that then my word doesn't mean shit and because my word is all I got to my name right now I can't allow that to be taken from me like everything else. So that's why Beckett I haven't seen my sister and her child because right now it is no time for distractions!
Beckett sits back and nods his head in understanding.
Charles: Yes I understand lad and they why I've done my homework on Emily already and was shocking to find out that bubbly ray of sunshine never knew her mother just like you but unlike you she did have a father in her life even if he wasn't the type they display on television TV but we should really be thanking her grandma for raising such an excellent opponent for you to face on Brawl. I mean without her grandmother in her life young Emily might have never had the stable home life to be able to just sit down in front of the TV and enjoy this fine sport of pro wrestling. If I'm not mistaken sir, didn't you have to sneak to watch wrestling growing up in the Catholic Orphanage because Mother Karen thought it was the devil's work?
Bam looks confused at Beckett for a moment before answering.
Bam: Yeah, she was really was convinced that it was evil and my soul would be corrupted but why are you….
Charles cuts Bam off.
Charles: Now now lad I'm not done yet I got some more Intel on your opponent who's standing in your way of continuing your mission to capture the Television Championship. You see her upbringing isn't the only advantage she has one you either sir, she started training looks like during high school and even has had someone in her corner or a shoulder to cry on one might say.
Charles give a wink.
Charles: Oh yes Bam your opponent has had people in her corner giving her all the support in the world and has a manager she can trust and maybe even lust but that's just speculation but what isn't speculation is that if we put your background and her up against each other everyone would say that she should have the better career because she's had a better situation growing up and had all the resources and support to go far in life but as I look around at the important wrestling stuff she lacks any real admiration in that department. She's been in Level Up and Redemption and has one Championship to hang her hat on and that reign didn't even last long.
Charles pauses for a moment.
Charles: I know it's been a while since you held Championship gold but you have held the IIW Tag Team Titles, IIW Hollywood Title and the XWF Xtreme Championship correct?
Bam nods his head.
Charles: So I think it's fair to say you have more of a Championship pedigree than the over-supported and cuddled wrestler and I mean that with all due respect to Emily but when I look at last Brawl in how she and Buster responded to their tag team loss it let me know everything I need to know about Emily.
Bam: Is that so?
Charles nods his head with a smile on his face.
Charles: You see she doesn't understand that you don't have time to waste away in catering talking about what ride you want to go on at some bull shit fair. You are focused on what's important and that is winning despite what her partner Buster Gloves said last week. If you don't get the pinfall, you damn sure didn't come out on top. These fickle fans only care if you are a winner and as of right now, she isn't, and You are on a two-match win streak, and it won't come to an end by her and you know why that is?
I'll tell you why Bam, it's because when You are on Dark or Brawl it's to handle business you are either in the ring kicking ass or your somewhere in the arena with a microphone in hand letting the world know who you are and when you aren't seen on camera, you're at the gym working out and when you aren't at the gym your at home watching film on not only your opponents but your own to see your own flaws as well as theirs and when you aren't doing that you have a couple drinks to ponder on what goal you could set next to better push yourself because you know iron sharpens iron.
Emily may think she is doing everything she can to be one of the best but from just watching the footage on her I can tell she's not focused entirely. She'salready thinking about teaming up with Lexi. Someone that you have already put down in the ring, so I hope during their girl talk and giggles she managed to teach Emily something about you because I'm telling you right now she is a Kitten walking into a fight with a Lion!
Bam smirks with satisfaction as Beckett calms himself down from his fiery speech.
Bam: Well damn Beckett I couldn't say it any better myself. Emily is just going to be another ass I kicked on my list during by Ass Kicking tour.
Charles: Indeed sir and I think that will do.
Bam looks confused by that and then someone that was sitting behind them stands up and walks over to their table to shake Becketts hand.
Media Guy: That was great work Beckett, we've got all of that sound bite and the cameras got everything so this will be ready to be aired tonight on our wrestling site.
Charles: Splendid work, I can't wait to see it and I know everyone will get the message loud and clear.
Bam: What's going on and what happens to the interview you had set up.
Charles chuckles to himself.
Charles: Dear boy that was the interview, we just promoted your match and the fans got to see a different side from you with you opening up. I think we did pretty good together.
Bam lets out a sigh and gets up from the table.
Bam: Yeah whatever Beckett, pay the man for his time. I need a smoke after all this.
Beckett nods his head as Bam walks out the door and pays the Media guy for his services and waits for him to leave before sitting back and sipping on his tea as the scene fades out.
