The scene switches to a hospital room in Beijing China John Tolly is sitting up in his hospital bed, He rolls his eyes as he sees Hawaiian Hardhead enter the room.
John:Let me guess you're here to brag about how you singlehandedly won the match for our team despite the fact that I made a dumb rookie mistake?
Hardhead merely stares at the guy. Not that you know cause he has shades on, but his face is looking at John so he probably is staring at him. He shakes his head, a smirk forming.
HHH: Rookie? No. If things had gone my way you would've gotten the pin. In fact, you actually helped secure the win. I don't believe in mistakes if you win a match. Merely...unfortunate circumstances that led to a small misstep. No, I'm actually here to say to congratulate you and thank you for your help last week. Sucks you got injured, but hey, if you need anything let me know. I've been watching your stuff for a while and you've got a lot to offer. I wouldn't mind having an acquaintance watching my back with the Royal Family running roughshod everywhere.
Tolly gives a scoffing laugh.
John:Listen just because we were on the same team doesn't mean we're suddenly bffs got it? I teamed with you guys because I had to.
He pauses for a second taking a deep breath.
John:That being said that Asshole MDK is the reason I'm here. That piece of shit thinks he's the best...well he's not..I AM!
He flinches and grabs his ribs as he feels a shot of pain.
Hardhead shakes his head in amusement, the smirk not disappearing.
HHH: Take it easy. Cracked ribs are a pain, no reason to make 'em worse. Look, I'm gonna be takin on Alyce on Brawl. I'm obviously going to win, but you bet that there's gonna be a royal distraction of some kind, which is quickly becoming a problem. You don't like 'em, I don't like 'em, you're newish, I'm newish, you're a veteran in this business, I'm a veteran in this business. We both know what people like this are like. Strength in numbers is the only way we're going to win. You don't have to like me, but you at least have to acknowledge there's potential in making our team-up a recurring thing.
Hardhead notices John's lack of response. He loses his smirk, a scowl becoming plastered on his face.
HHH: Don't call it a team-up then. Call it a deal. I got my ass dragged into this Royal war and I'll be dammed if I'm gonna walk away a loser. Think of it this way, what better way to get straight to the title--and in turn, MDK--than through beating them at their own game?
Tolly stares back at Hardhead and finally gives a sigh.
John:I'll have to think about it. I'm going to be laid up for about a month I'll give you my answer then.
Hardhead shrugs before taking a piece of rectangular paper out the pocket of his Hawaiian shirt. He tosses it onto John's bed, ignoring the glare that follows
HHH: Duly noted. Don't be a stranger. Call me if you need anything.
Tolly looks down at the piece of paper and nods.
John:Hey!
He calls out before Hardhead leaves
John:Thanks for stopping by.
Hardheads turns his head back towards John, remaining in the doorway.
HHH: Anytime my man.
The camera fades as John looks at the card in his hand.
