Entrance Info
Entrance Theme: “Evil Angel” – Breaking Benjamin
Detailed Entrance description: The lights slowly fade to black. Flashes of cameras give intermittent glimmers of the darkened surroundings. There is a moment of silence as the crowd awaits with anticipation. The Tron slowly illuminates as the opening drum beats to Breaking Benjamin’s “Evil Angel” echo throughout the arena. The crowd suddenly comes alive as the guitars make themselves heard. As the first verse begins to play, he finally appears on the top of the stage…
…DOMINATOR…
He glares towards the crowd massed to his left, then to his right before slowly raising his arms out to his side. A shower of orange sparks begin to fall from the top of the Tron, briefly masking the Entrance Video as Dominator shows off his bulging biceps to the crowd.
He slowly walks down the ramp with a gleam in his eye, a wicked and arrogant smirk spread amidst his dark stubble. He makes no attempt to slap hands with the fans. He reaches the ring apron, grabbing the middle rope to haul him onto the side of the ring. He pushes down the top rope with his right hand, throwing one foot over the top before the other follows. He slowly makes his way to the center of the ring, turning a full three hundred and sixty degrees to admire the capacity crowd before raising his arms in the air in the exact same manner as he had done atop the entrance ramp, lifting them with malicious purpose.
He cricks his neck back and forth before swinging his arms in preparation for the impending fight. All the while, that devious smile is still on his face and he looks to make eye contact with his opponent without a single hint of intimidation. The music slowly fades, the lights returning to a more average level of illumination as Dominator waits with masked enthusiasm for the start of the match.

Background Info
Bio: Dominic James Atkinson (better known as Dominator) is infamous for his gigantic size, raw physical power and his hunger for power. This combination makes him a formidable adversary. He is extremely calculating, manipulative and devious. However, his passion for this industry is not to be discounted. It is often difficult to decipher whether his intentions are for the good of the business or for the good of himself. Dominator’s fans are collectively referred to as “The Domin-Nation.”
THE BIRTH OF A GOD – DOMINATOR’S BACKGROUND
Dominic James Atkinson, son of former wrestling icon “The Everlasting” Cassius Atkinson and his estranged wife Stacey, was born somewhere in the south of England (his father’s native region.) With his father on the road so often, Dominic would spend the majority of his youth residing in Detroit, his mother’s hometown. Watching his father wrestle on television inspired young Dominic to pursue a career of his own. Initially, this was immediately vetoed by his mother yet Dominic’s determination to become a professional wrestler forced him to seek special training facilities against his mother’s wishes.
He developed acromegaly, which ultimately led to a case of gigantism upon hitting puberty. At the age of just fourteen, Dominic was by far the tallest in his class, towering over most people who were even twice his age. He just his school’s wrestling team at an even younger age, his abnormal spurt of growth giving his mother yet another reason to forbid him pursuing a career in wrestling. His father on the other hand was ecstatic that his son wanted to follow his footsteps.
BECOMING THE DOMINANT ONE – EARLY YEARS OF WRESTLING
At the age of fifteen, Dominic lied about his age to enter the training facility for New Xtreme Championship Wrestling, which was owned by one of Cassius’ long time friends Shawn Phillips. It was here that Dominic began to experience what we define as wrestling is really like. He befriended Shawn and Matthew Metallinos, better known by their stage names of Steel and Blade. Throughout the course of their careers, the trio would form an alliance that would span across multiple federations.
At the age of sixteen, Dominic finally competed in his first professional wrestling match under the alias “Dominator” (a corrupted portmanteaux of his name, Dominic James Atkinson) in which he defeated his opponent with little difficulty. It was not long before he was an established superstar, competing for the Tag Team Titles. His first major championship came in the form of the NXCW Hardcore Championship, defeating Tyranno of the Prehistoric Panic stable at their “Nightmare” PPV. After a successful reign, he eventually relinquished the belt to X-Pac of the newly established stable D-Generation 2. Dominator had been recruited to challenge Goldberg, the reigning World Champion. Amazingly, he managed to obtain the title for his very own.
THE PRICE OF SUCCESS
He held the title for almost a full year. By this time, he was just nineteen years old. At the “Everlasting” PPV, which was funded by none other than his father, Cassius Atkinson himself, Dominator was poised to face a mystery opponent in the main event. The assailant had eliminated all members of D-Generation 2, Steel & Blade included. It turned out that the challenger was Cassius himself. Dominic had been warned by his own mother not to compete, fearing for her son. Father and Son did battle, but it was Dominator who was victorious after a bloody and brutal match. However, due to the extent of his injuries, he lost the championship to the very next match to Triple H, who cashed in a previously earned title shot.
This led to dispute in the Atkinson household and, along with Cassius’ working schedule, caused Stacey to leave her husband. Dominic attempted to negotiate with both parents for them to reconcile, but the entire scenario led to Dominic’s mother suffer a nervous breakdown and threaten to take her family’s lives as well as her own on top of a skyscraper. The NXCW was disbanded immediately following a broadcast of his mother’s “apparent” death.
Grief stricken, Dominic took the advise of his comrades Steel and Blade to not let his mother’s death affect his career. He joined various federations that each disbanded within weeks until finally settling down at Kollosal Wrestling Federation. It was here that Dominator was involved in a monumental and memorable feud with the undefeated Biohazard. After months of feuding, Dominic finally took the mighty Biohazard down and ended his streak. Ironically, he never won the KWF Championship, although he did have a brief spell as Intercontinental Champion. KWF shut its doors after just six months of Dominator’s arrival.
THE TURNING POINT IN DOMINATOR’S CAREER – THE PATH TO POWER
Eventually, Dominator arrived in CCWF, which is where he was first introduced to the XWF. After a brief spell here and jumping ship to EHCW, where he won a 7 Layers Of Hell Match against Sully Burden, Dark Obssessionsis, Greggo and Tyke Mison for the now defunct Hardcore Title. It was then that he moved to XWF, where he immediately made an impact by winning the World Title in a controversial manner at the Devastation PPV. The match included 504 Boy, Trent Gein and Syrus Falls and was billed as a Ladder Match, however he was awarded victory by pinfall after falling Syrus for three. Gein and 504 Boy would subsequently form “Devastation Inc” along with Fred L with the sole purpose of dethroning The Dominant One, who had become crazed with power after winning such a prestigious prize.
Dominator craved more power. He would stop at nothing to eliminate Devastation Inc, even recruiting his old friends Steel and Blade to assist him. It was shortly after Dominator’s first reign as World Champion ended at the hands of Steve Jason (under the guise of Shuriken) that Jonathyn Brown suffered a mental breakdown. Seizing the opportunity, Dominator immediately took the helm as Commissioner of the XWF, as appointed by the Board Of Directors. This, however, was just a ruse to rid the power-hungry Dominator from the XWF entirely by Jonathyn Brown and Shane Carver. XWF Legend Kitten was even recruited to try to work alongside Dominator and ensure a “fairer” protocol. When Jonathyn and Shane unveiled their plan to the world, Dominator was immediately fired.
THE INCOMPARABLE VENGEFUL SIDE OF DOMINATOR IS UNLEASHED – THE REVOLUTION BEGINS!
Several months later, nobody had heard from Dominator. It is rumoured that during this time, Dominator’s mother had legitimately passed away and that he was taking time off to mourn. Others say that he was simply plotting his vengeance until one fateful Massacre, where several XWF stars had been gored by what appeared to be bull’s horns, vowing to spill Jon Brown’s blood. Brown had recruited up-and-coming star “Justice” to put an end to the monster’s doings, who had only referred to himself as “Da Minotaur.” Sure enough, at Bad Medicine Da Minotaur and Justice collided in the ring, the prize would be Jonathyn himself, who was suspended above the ring in a cage. Da Minotaur won with ease, before revealing himself to be none other than Dominator. He dragged Brown away, beating him to a savage pulp.
It was then that Dominator vowed to change the face of the XWF by collating some of the XWF’s top stars into one group. Initially founded by Atkinson along with Andrew “The Blade” Gibson, they formed a faction known as “ReVolution.” The faction almost didn’t take off due to an injury carried by Gibson, however Dominator quickly spotted this weakness and addressed by putting Gibson out of action himself. It was then that the likes of “Bigg Rigg” John Gambino, Darkhan and his then-girlfriend Jen Jetson took the XWF by storm. Dominator won his second World Title in this time, defeating the current champion Wannabe in a Triple Threat Match with Killjoy.
Dominator briefly lost the World Title to Rick Lacey but would invoke a rematch clause the very next week to reclaim it. His third and final XWF World Championship reign came to an end at the hands of Default with assistance from long time rival Centurion, who defeated him at Snow Job to win the gold. ReVolution disbanded after Gambino, Darkhan and other members of the faction left to pursue their own paths, leaving Dominator to pick up the pieces.
In one last ditch attempt to prove to the world that he was the most powerful member of the XWF Roster, Dominator challenged for the Universal Title in a match that involved the reigning champion Cyren and Dynamic Dynamite. A niggling neck injury meant that Dominator was unable to perform to his best and Dynamite won the match and the title along with it. It was at this point that Dominator opted to retire from professional wrestling in order to allow time for his injuries to heal completely.
THE LEGACY – HARLEY VICE, THE REBOOT & SPORADIC APPEARANCES
After retiring, Dominator went on to manage Harley Vice for a brief period, assisting him to obtain the X-Treme Title and Tag Team Titles with Nick Ryan. After Harley chose to leave the XWF, Dominator took time to return to a training regime with the intention of one day making a comeback. This came in the form of the Blakk Order Invitational ahead of the Reboot PPV, which Dominator initially won to become the fourth member of Team XWF inside the Helldome until he was attacked after the match by Hardcore Smitty, announcing Smitty as the winner.
Despite this, Dominator declared that he would be the Special Referee inside the Helldome, however this plan was quickly scuppered as he was called upon after Cyren turned his back on the XWF and left the team. At the request of Jonathyn and the fans alike, Dominator joined Team XWF, where he eliminated two of the four members of The Blakk Order before being eliminated by Bill Blakk himself. The Helldome had taken its toll on Dominator and it took him months to recover.
But leading to X-Mas X-Treme 2011, Dominator made a surprise return and attacked several members of the roster. Allowing the blame to be passed to the psychotic clown Grimoire Xmyles, Dominator eventually unveiled himself as the true assailant and put Shane Carver out of action, thus ruling that HE would take control of the X-Mas X-Treme PPV itself. Taking it upon himself to act as the Special Referee in the Main Event between RJ Palmer and Jose Chavez, Dominator controversially ended the match and awarded himself with the World Title. This short lived reign was ended by the prompt intervention of Jon Brown, who immediately relieved him of his duties and ejected him from the arena. Not taking this lightly, Dominator went to attack Brown but was ultimately thwarted by Mighty Kid, who lifted him high above the ring using his rope attached to the rafters out of harm’s way.
In a dramatic twist, Mighty Kid lost his grip and Dominator crashed into the middle of the ring with terrible force. The injuries sustained has sidelined Dominator imminently ever since. Despite not appearing on XWF programming thereafter, he attempted to manage Clayton Rourke during a short-lived spell at FWF before the company closed its doors soon after it opened.
RETURN TO THE RING – WGWF DEBUT & THE NECESSARY EXISTENCE
Debuting as the conundrum to an unusual code, Dominator made his debut in the WGWF by defeating Dusty Rodgers in disguise before attacking Fuzz after his match with #Favoritism’s Terry Borden. However, he is being assisted externally by a group who call themselves “The Necessary Existence,” twelve “disciples” who have idolised Dominator and formed their own cult in his honor. Despite Dominator’s reservations, the attention and respect from this group only boosts his ego even more so than normal. They have made little impact concerning his in-ring performances, but have aided and abetted in his training behind the scenes. In his quest to assist #Favoritism, Dominator defeated FuZz quickly at Summer Madness before assaulting #Favoritism's Erik Josten and Damion Black, who has "assisted" Dominator by assaulting FuZz prior to the match. Declaring that "Favoritism needs Dominator more than Dominator needs #Favoritism," it is not completely clear whether or not Dominator's allegiance is true to Christian Connolly's regime or not. Regardless of this, he was quickly accepted into #Favoritism's ranks to follow Connolly's instruction.
As for "The Necessary Existence" themselves, Dominator was quick to realise that the group served more of a hindrance than assistance. He disbanded the group after only a couple of months, yet one of his servants known only as Weaver remains at Dominator's side, acting as Dominator's "personal scapegoat." This also did not last as he still served more of a hindrance as opposed to an assistant. After successive losses to Zach Rizza, Joseph Page and RJ Palmer, Dominator seeks to get back into his stride.
